This place has to be one of the best coffee shops in the Birmingham area. The relaxed atmosphere, the great customer service, and the quality of their coffee is something that will keep me coming back! By the way the banana bread was so delicious I can’t wait to tell more people about this great place.

Seeds has EVERYTHING going for it: Super-​kind, super-​coffee-​knowledgeable staff who won’t judge you if you get a vanilla latte, great beverages (including beer), cozy but clean atmosphere, and indoor and outdoor seating. My only issues are that at times it gets crowded (because people know it’s wonderful), sometimes the music is turned up too loud (when I’m studying), and I wish so desperately that they served lunch! I would never leave…

I absolutely loved Seeds Coffee Co. I have been in search for a new study spot with great coffee and after trying countless local cafés around Birmingham, I think I have finally found my place. I have only been once, but will now make it an official part of my week and study routine. Great staff and great atmosphere. I enjoyed their wide variety of freshly brewed coffee options and am eager to try all of them!

I am a GIGANTIC coffee snob and Seeds is possibly my favorite coffee shop in Birmingham. Not only for the coffee, though. While the coffee is out of this world, my first visit made an impression that will last a lifetime! A couple employees were working and made conversation with my husband and I while we ordered. We ended up telling them we were new to the area and before we knew it, the two employees (a boy and a girl) were inviting us to visit their church! We hadn’t previously discussed church and they weren’t aware but this was something we had been hunting for and discussing over the previous weeks. We ended up visiting the following weekend and loving it! Welcoming doesn’t even begin to describe this coffee shop or the people that work there.

When you pull up to Seeds it almost looks like a renovated gas station. They have coffee and tea and a few pastries but not much variety. If you’re looking for pastries this probably isn’t the place for you. The mocha (hot and iced) was perfect. They have a small stage for bands to perform. It’s within 5 minutes of both Octane and Red Mountain Expresso, which is unfortunate since the other two surpass it.

I got an almond milk cappuccino here and it was SO GOOD! I didn’t spend much time in the store because I was stopping in on my way to Nashville, but I’m glad I went out of my way to come here. The girl that took my order was very nice and the coffee was delicious.

This is my absolute favorite spot! It’s great to study here and hang out with the employees. One time a few weeks ago, I humiliated myself in a public speaking class so I went here to drink away my sorrows with a latte. Abby, a sweet employee and awesome brewista, gave me a free coffee and spoke to me about my speech and just made me feel so welcome and loved. I’ve come back 3 times a week since that day. I get the caramel latte (they’ll tell you mocha is better but don’t believe them). It’s amazing coffee you have to try it!

Was a first time visitor this morning. That’s a risk when you’re hunting down good coffee…
What I found is exactly what the Unilocal reviews told me I would find. Great coffee. Great staff.
The owner and I struck up a conversation about coffee roasting and he took me over to their coffee roasting facility which is right next-​door. I got to spend time with the head roaster. Right up my alley since my company has been in the coffee roasting business for 20 years!
That’s incredible service right there. And the conversation took place over a great cup of Joe.

Ive heard such wonderful things about this place so I had to try it. The vibe here is very welcoming and the service is stellar. They went above and beyond. I ordered the nitro cold brew coffee. It was very different flavor and experience. I did like it but it wasn’t strong enough of a coffee flavor. How ever my BF ordered a macchiato and it was delicious! Their espresso is Super flavorful.
This place is super cozy. It is the perfect place to bring a laptop, a good book, or just to talk with friends.

The coffee at Seeds is always top notch. The baristas here really know what they’re talking about. I asked them a question about their cold brewing techniques, and they explained with no hesitation.
The shop has a very rustic feel with a decent view. Charming and cozy are a few of the words that come to mind, but you just have to come and experience this great time for yourself. And that is a Mo L. guarantee!

Great coffee! I mean seriously good!
Had an expresso and well made by the barista and the quality was excellent!
Also had a Ethiopia Ardi, «sweet» and fruity you could taste the quality!
Service good, They know how to roast their coffee!
And decoration is pretty interesting and original!

Probably my favourite coffee shop in Birmingham. Large open area with plenty of indoor/​outdoor seating and free Wi-​Fi. It’s a great place for studying and getting work done. Seeds is the only spot in town (as of now) that serves nitrogen infused cold brew coffee which is awesome. All in all its a great coffee shop with a friendly staff, good atmosphere, and great coffee selection. Would highly recommend checking it out.

I’m visiting from out of town and a friend recommended this place. The staff were all very friendly and the drinks were good. I had both an iced mango tea and an iced late. I would definitely come back.

It was a little tough to spot but once I did it was quite a surprise. They turned a gas station into an adorable and unique experience. It features an outdoor covered patio with cute seating arrangements. On the inside several bistro style tables, coucheSsss (wanted to imphasize the plural there;)), and a neat little area with pillows and a low table for those of us stretchers.
Let’s talk coffee… it is a pour over style coffee and I went on a limb and tried the African coffee they have… Yummy! !!! I cannot wait to come back
By the way the employees actually seemed like they enjoy working there!

Awesome folks here and the best dang coffee in town, if you have the patience to wait for it! It’s worth the wait. Get the chem x amazing best coffee ever. Best thing is did I say the owners? Yeah they are cool!

Anecdote:
A friend and I stopped in here, on our way out of the city, to grab a coffee to go. The man at the counter immediately asked me if I was from New Jersey because I ordered an ‘IYYY’ced latte, rather than an ‘AHh’ced latte. (Yes, I am.) We talked for a bit, then introduced us to a woman with a true AL accent, (who was standing behind us).
Basically, GREAT PEOPLE!
My latte was kick-​ass too!
This will be my first stop next time i’m in town.

I have heard about Seeds for a while now but have never made it by until today. I had high expectations and they were definitely met. The best part in my opinion was the atmosphere. The introvert in me likes to have a little space while I knock-​out some emails or read and there is definitely plenty of space with a variety of seating options (Comfy couches, seating looking out the window, and a community table.)
I had an iced black tea that the very friendly staff recommended to me. It was nice weather outside, so the doors were open and there were also some great tunes playing (Ben Rector, Florence and the Machine, and Whitney Houston… I mean pretty stellar combo right there.)
I will definitely be back to Seeds.

With the number of times that I have been here, I can’t believe I’ve never written a review. I absolutely adore this place. The people that work here are so kind and friendly and have been that way since Day 1. I have always been impressed with their service.
The location is a little out of the way which I actually like because it tends to be away from some of the busier areas in Homewood. I love the feel of the place. There is a good mix of chairs, tables, bar stools, couches, etc so you can usually find something comfortable.
I have enjoyed everything that I’ve ordered — teas, lattes, hot chocolate, etc. They take their time with every drink and always deliver a high quality drink. I do wish they had more pastry options, but for now this is definitely one of my favorite coffee shops in Birmingham. Also, another plus in comparison to other coffee shops is that you never leave smelling like you’ve just been sitting at a coffee shop for hours.
