Quarton Food Market

This place was terrific. Service that you just can not find now adays. We miss it every day. Heard the owners are still doing business from a store in Ferndale.

Unfortunately this place isn’t quite what it used to be. Does anyone even shop here anymore?
Their shelves used to be stocked full and carried only the freshest vegetables– this way they could get away with higher prices. The meat counter was one of the best in town.
That was then.
This is now: half empty shelves, somewhat barren vegetable selections, and the prepared food section was a little desolate as well. This place has turned into a ghost-​town of markets.
I had heard that they were supposed to go under new ownership (actually be taken over by the Market Square people: see Unilocal), but from the looks of it. I’m pretty sure it hasn’t happened yet.
This market was so convenient, hence why I am giving it three stars instead of two. here’s to a brighter future Quarton Market.
