Reasonable prices, provocative name, and large portions are three reasons you should go to this restaurant. The phở is pretty good and will always hold a special place in my heart as the first place I ever tried phở. Worth the trip!

I think this place needs a better consideration! Sure, maybe it is not the very most good Vietnamese restaurant in town, and the most nice looking, but the staff is very nice, the price is low, and the food is good. Very ideal for lunch time

The broth here is ok, not as flavorful as I would like. The chicken in the Phở GA was disappointing and the fresh herbs were sub par. The Veggie Phở was an overall disappointment and needs to be improved greatly. Not authentic as I would like for the price.

Phở is one of our goto restaurants for a solid meal. The people are nice, the food and service are consistent and their summer rolls are wonderful.

The food is incredible!!! Best phở ever. The atmosphere is a little lacking if you’re looking for something upscale. If you want delicious food this is a must to visit! I used to eat here one or two times a week! I now live several house away, but I want to come back soon. It is that worth it.

Amazing flavor. Consistently great food. Very inexpensive. I am always surprised that it’s not more crowded.

No complaints. Pretty straight forward. I get the chicken phở often from here

I was in the middle of a busy day but found time for Phở. It was a long time since I had some good phở and this place was totally satisfied. The atmosphere is real chill and enjoyable. I went for the phở that was mixed with pork, chicken, and a quail egg. The broth was really good and all of the ingredients tasted fresh.

We’ve been loyal customers for 16 years and PQH used to be really good, but it’sgone downhill in recent years. For example, soup today came with one limp sprig of basil that was curling up, brown at edges, and tasted like it was starting to rot. Soups that I used to love here now have so much MSG that they give me a headache before I even finish the bowl. Tonight we requested one order of plain rice noodles and were told they were the same price as a large bowl of soup. Sigh. Guess it’s time to try the new phở restaurant on Southside…

When you’re feeling like a cold is coming on, there’s nothing quite like your mom’s chicken soup. But when your mom is a few hundred miles away, a big bowl of Phở Ga is going to be pretty darned close. I got mine to go and when I returned to the hotel room, it was all there. Noodles and chicken separate from the broth, bean sprouts, limes to squeeze, fresh peppers(no thanks!) and chop sticks with a spoon. No sauces, unfortunately. But I have a Sriracha2Go and that set me up. As for the taste, it was good. I’ve had better, but this was definitely good. A little bland until the sriracha went in. But good.

This is the first Vietnamese food I’ve eaten, so take my review with a grain of salt. I thought this place was FANTASTIC. It’s just a hole-in-the-wall in a strip mall, but geez, it was great in my opinion. Food came out hot and cooked perfectly, our waiter was attentive, and it wasn’t crowded at all(we went on a weeknight around 6:30). I’ll definitely go back.

My family and I visited Phở Que Huong earlier this week while visiting Birmingham. The restaurant is nicely located in a shopping & restaurant plaza, next to an Aldi, as well as a Korean Restaurant that was pretty tempting. The restaurant wasn’t too busy when we walked in and were quickly greeted and seated. The menu had a large variety of Vietnamese dishes, all of which were decently priced. Of course, we all settled for Phở. After ordering, our dishes came out pretty quick. What I liked about Phở Que Huong, they offered the Phở garnishes on individual plates for each order, not one plate that everyone shares off of like most other Phở Restaurants.(I always worry about being seen as stingy and taking too much when dealing with community plates). As for the Phở, it had tons of flavor! The broth was great! I didn’t add any hoisin sauce as it was perfect as is! The only reason I only give it 4 stars is because the inside décor could use some appeal. They have a large dining area, but nothing that really sets it off as being an ‘Asian’ restaurant. Some Asian/Vietnamese décor would have given the place a more authentic feel. Also, our table felt sticky to the touch. when the waiters weren’t looking, we poured some of our ice water on the table to give it a good wipe down. All in all, I’d definately come back here again the next time I’m in Birmingham.

Been here twice already and their Phở’s are top notch. Ambiance or décor leave a little to be desired and good food does make up a bit for it. Summer and winter rolls are killer and the noodle dishes outstanding. Give it a try!

This place was just ok. The service was poor, but that doesn’t bother me if the food can make up for it. The basic flavor is there but nothing that made me want to go back. Maybe I was too spoiled at the other Vietnamese place. Maybe I’m just picky but even the steamed rice didn’t have the right texture. Not to mention they don’t have bubble tea. I don’t know maybe I’ll come back and try it again.

Phở Que Huong offers solid Vietnamese food but it’s certainly nothing to write home about. The phở bowls are all satisfactory although they would be considered small compared to other similar restaurants. The toppings plate(bean sprouts, jalapenos, etc.) is definitely the most meager I have ever seen. I seriously think I only received a dozen sprouts in total! Of course all phở problems can easily be solved with the liberal application of Sriracha chili sauce.

Didn’t get to eat here so can’t tell you if the food is good or not … We came in 15 minutes before their middle of the day break(which isn’t listed anywhere on Unilocal) and the person that greeted us rolled his eyes and told us to sit wherever but they were closing in 15 minutes so we needed to get our order in quickly … Rudest experience I’ve had in a very long time anywhere … Definitely won’t be back I’ll be headed across town to a different Phở restaurant for sure

Not bad, but nothing special. The broth was okay, there wasn’t that much meat, and the noodles was okay. Good service, little but on the higher end price for Phở.

Although I have never been to Vietnam I image the food they serve at this place is as close to authentic as you can get in town. I luckily had a friend with me that was familiar with the cuisine so he pointed me in the direction of a wonderful pork dish with steamed white rice and a side salad. We also had what he called a fresh spring roll. Not fried in other words. I can’t recommend this place enough. Go try it now.

This place consistently delivers approachable, affordable Vietnamese-like dishes. I always opt for #23(quail eggs and squid are some of my fave proteins) so I can really only speak to this style of dish and their summer rolls. Both are really delicious when you add all of the provided accoutrements and sauce them up a bit. I will say that service here is bare-minimum. Wait times are highly variable. 50% of the time your appetizer is delivered after your entrée. The location is a little sad and could benefit from a little TLC. I always give a disclaimer, «this place looks terrible but if you can deal with bad décor and aloof servers the food is worth it,» to accompanying friends. A really good, budget-friendly option. If I could rate it 3.5 stars, I would.

We arrived Friday evening. It was not very busy and few Asians. The waiters spoke a foreign language, but it wasn’t Vietnamese. I spoke the names of the dishes, and waiters didn’t know the Vietnamese names. Reportedly the cooks are Vietnamese. The service was fine, and the food came out in a decent amount of time. I had the Vermicelli bowl. There was too little sauce to pour on, and the tofu was very hard. There wasn’t much tofu either. My friend had the chicken phở, and he loved the broth. But, he said he was hungry after eating the whole bowl. There wasn’t much chicken in it. My friend went to the restroom and described the restaurant’s areas as being dirty. I was disappointed by this restaurant.
