Nobody is repairing or caring for my instruments except Jason Burns. Those instruments are everything to me, and Jason keeps them working perfectly.
Bob is excellent too. He’s knowledgable, and he’s more than fair.

Bob Tedrow has created a time capsule. When you step into his store it transports you to a simpler time where people worked with their hands and were masters at their craft. You will have inviting, personable, and helpful conversations every time you walk on the door. The first thing you will notice is the variety of instruments; mandolins, fiddles, bass fiddles, acoustic guitars, concertinas, etc. They work on just about anything musical and they do with unbelievable precision. I am a musician and this is one of the very few places I can bring my guitars and absolutely trust the person working on it.
If you get a set up from Homewood Music, your instrument will never sound better.

My grandfather left me his ukulele banjo that he serenaded my grandmother with back in the 1920s. It was in good shape, but needed work.
These guys took really good care of it and got it playable again. I can’t say enough good things about them! I wouldn’t trust this little heirloom to anyone else!

I’m proud to be the first to review Homewood Music. From top to bottom, this place is amazing. The owner drives a model A Ford, not as a show piece, but as his everyday car. He and his one employee dress the part as well. While it sounds gimmicky, it’s actually not. That is their honest style and it’s reflected in all phases of the business.
They specialize in stringed instruments and concertinas. Banjos, guitars, and mandolins adorn the walls in the main room. To the left of the cash register, you can peak into the workshop. You’ll find some of the most beautiful banjos and guitars you’ve ever seen being made by hand. They don’t just make instruments from scratch, but can repair your noisemaker, no matter what the damage.
When you go by, be prepared to see cool sights, hear amazing stories, and pet a dog or two that has found a bed in a guitar case.
