This place was as expected. I got what I paid for. It was just a stay for one night, but it wasn’t so bad. It would t be a place it’d choose first, but wouldn’t mind staying there again just for a night.

My husband and I had reservations for the night of January 2, 2016. We booked the room earlier that day in order to attend an event and see some relatives in Gulfport. When we arrived, the clerk at the desk informed us that he had no reservation for us in spite of the fact that my husband was holding his electronic device with proof of the reservation on it. The clerk rudely told him that we would have to wait until he got the fax ordering the reservation. However, he informed us that for an extra 30 dollars we could have a room. So, this Ramada employs con artists trying to scam money out of customers. Not really my problem, but since this Ramada employs people like this, we won’t be back and I feel obligated to warn anyone that might be going there. DON’T WASTEYOURTIME. We traveled back towards Gulfport and fund a wonderful place on 49. It’s the Econolodge, next to a Krispy Kreme. The room was immaculately clean, the bed was comfy, the staff was friendly and the rate was beyond reasonable. 50 bucks pls tax for a night as opposed to the 80 we were prepared to pay for Ramada. Never again will I waste my money on any Ramada. They don’t know how to treat their customers. Forget them.

I am not sure about the rooms smelling like smoke, mine did not. I don’t know what the laws are around smoking or if there are still smoking rooms. All of that being said, we were pleased with our room. It was 2 double beds. The TV was pretty outdated, but good selection of cable channels. The place was clean and the lady working the front desk during the day is fantastic. I do want to qualify though that we did get our reservation through Priceline, which was a fantastic deal. Only real complaints I have, and it more constructive feedback. First, the TV is about 10 years old and seriously needs to be upgraded. Second, the bed is a bit on the hard side. My wife loved it though so it is a personal preference. Lastly, some protean for breakfast. Upside, free wifi, breakfast, across from the beach and close to restaurants.

By far the smokiest smelling hotel room I have ever stayed in. It was non-smoking, but we had to laugh every time we walked into the room because it smelled like someone had just been chain smoking in it all day. No amount of febreeze could save it. I tried. It was generally ok otherwise. Not nice at all, but fairly clean. Location is nice; right by the beach and several restaurants. They include breakfast, but nothing hot except the make-your-own waffles. For the price we probably won’t stay here again.
