Pretty good. Really the question is, is five stars really attainable. 7 of us art at this restaurant and they did a good job on every plate. They definitely have there own style of cooking Mexican. I finished my whole plate so that is saying something. My wife was happy so that is a extra star.

My burrito was delicious, but the queso was appalling. Shredded cheese nuked in a non-microwave safe container. When I opened it up the cheese was hard like plastic. Disgusting. Never again queso

Very worthy. Since I moved here, I’ve been trying to find good mexican. This is my fourth or fifth visit, and every time has been excellent. They crisp the carnitas up a bit, and it is fantastic. Tacos are served on corn, as they should be. The shrimp Diablo has some heat, and I had no issues ordering extra tortillas. If you’re in the area and craving some awesome food, give it a shot.

i understand the market this place is in, and that ok, but most of the foke’s that live here full time are not used to hot/spice food. So as a bussness owner(David) trys to find a happy medium. But if you ever get to know him he will bring out the spicy stuff. To see my rating of good Mexican food in western Montana look at my other post’s, you will not be disappointed.

This is our favorite restaurant in Bigfork! The food is always good, the service is always fast and friendly! And now they have taco Tuesday where all the tacos are $ 2.00! I highly recommend this place!!!

The best Mexican food to be found in the Flathead Valley, in my opinion. Coming from California, I am always searching for good Mexican food in Montana and this place fits the bill. Their tacos and chili rellenos are delicious!

Great Mexican — don’t be fooled by the hand made sign it’s delicious. The enchiladas with cream sauce are wonderful. The same goes for the taco salad — it comes in a wonderful crispy bowl with great chicken on top. Worth a try if you’re looking for good basic Mexican food in the Bigfork area.

This our first visit; glad we stopped in. Although we did not this when we decided to stop in, it turns out that Tuesday is taco day. Tacos are $ 2.00. I ordered 2 chorizo tacos. They are good size and the meat flavorful. Rebecca ordered the enchilada with green sauce. It was filled with meat(carnitas was our choice). The sauce was good. Rebecca enjoyed the rice and beans. All in all, this place exceeded our expectations. We will come back again next year. Come on in.

Not a great experience. I ordered veggie fajitas which did not come out in typical fajita fashion(sizzling on a plate), they were in an odd red sauce that wasn’t up to par. The food was quite expensive for what you received, aside from the guacamole which was quite good. Also, our waitress was eating a meal at a table not far away. It was awkward that one minute she was eating a taco and the next refilling our water…

Fantastic authentic Mexican food which can be very hard to find in Montana. They offer several Mexican bottles beers, and a great variety in their menu. Even though their strip-mall location is not super fancy, they had some great décor; some of which may be family heirlooms. Most importantly they appeared to have the two, tell-tale indicators of good Mexican food — grandma was in the kitchen, and they were all speaking Spanish. I had the shredded beef chimi with beans and rice. Went down great with their homemade salsa and a cold Pacifico! I will definitely be back to try the carne asada.

A great Mexican spot. Asada and barbacoa tacos were fantastic. People who work here were very friendly and attentive. Loved the homemade hot sauce.

Omg! I just moved here from California and thought I was going to have to give up amazing Mexican food. I am so happy I found this place! The food is great and the atmosphere is that of a San Diego taco shop. Love it.

Quaint Mexican joint in Bigfork. Its easy to miss because it’s in a small strip mall. First off, attentive customer service and the best salsa. Customers were calling in just to order their chips, salsa and guac. Its that good. Pricewise, it’s spendy. I can’t really doc them for this though because it’s consistent with other Mexican places in the greater Kalispell area.(But what gives?) Tastewise, it’s solid, «authentic,» Mexican. Great ingredients and healthy portion. Not as spicy as I like, but for the general Montana palate it’s probably perfect. Not a lot of flavor layers though, and this is why I gave it only 4 stars. It just didn’t have that wow factor. Rice and beans were bland, particularly the beans. My husband’s fajitas were in a red sauce that wasn’t really flavorful(but did have an interesting smokiness, probably smoked paprika…). Chicken and beef were really tender, but again not a lot of flavor. We also tried their Coctel de Camarones which was really fresh but again lacking in flavor. The shrimp were bland, probably farm-raised. They were out of Mole. My favorites were the salsa of course and the Chile Relleno. Enchilada, Taco and Fajitas were solid, but not outta this world like the Mexican in Cali. We’ll come back I’m sure and try a few more things.

Freaking fantastic. I’m always happy when I eat here. The enchilada sauce is amazing! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because they don’t make their own chips. But they do make their own delicious salsa! Seriously, eat here. You won’t be sorry! Or hungry!

Another short visit for nachos and beer. Shredded beef on nachos was outstanding. Service prompt.

Amazing authentic Mexican food! Wish I didn’t live so far away because I’d be a definite regular here. This is my number 1 best Mexican ever and can’t wait for my next trip to Bigfork to enjoy their wonderful food again. El Topo is not even close to being this good!

This place is great because it’s simply authentic. Carne asada tacos are awesome! Chips & salsa are wonderful. Salsa makes up for the average chips. Kitchen is clean!!! Bathroom is clean. Chef & staff are above par. They beat all in Flathead county for taco shops.

Back again and it was not good. The chili verde was the worst ever. Sour, as if the sauce was pure lime. Salsa saved the day, but may not go back. Waiter did not ask why when we told him we disliked it. No substitute offered.
