So happy to have found this store. I always knew it was there but really needed it when I got into clean eating. They have everything you need such as probiotics maca powder, Chaga for increasing energy cacao nibs and a good selection of other natural organic foods. The owner is there whenever I go in and he very helpful and knowledgable as are his fellow workers. They had all the things I couldn’t find at the other stores. Thanks for helping me turn over a new leaf!

Great store, good products, owner is clearly very knowledgable. I’ve been in there a number of times and have had numerous conversations with him about numerous topics. He’s a really nice guy, super eager to help out(and not just sell you the most expensive product) — taking a LOT of time to chat with me and answer any and all questions I could come up with — which is a LOT, and cool generally. I’m now a loyal customer(vs buying my 2 giant bottles off Amazon when they run out)

A great store for all your organic needs… supplements, foods, soaps, shampoos and whatever else you may need. Demetrios is extremely knowledgeable on every product in his store and he takes the time to really ‘listen’ to you and will steer you in the right direction. I first shopped at A New Leaf over 6 years ago, having been referred there by my sister. I purchased numerous supplements at that time, which I told my(holistic) doctor of and stated that he knows Demetrios’ personally and trusts him implicitly. Demetrios will never try to upsell or oversell you as his intentions are sincere in that he strives to educate his patrons to be healthy and happy, holistically. If you’re looking to get healthy the natural way, go see Demetrios now!

Great little health food shop. They carry Sammi Gluten Free pizzas which I am a huge fan of. They also have lots of samples so you can try something before you buy it. Love this and this location!

This is a great shop in downtown Beverly. I have found all kinds of wonderful products there including something called Oat Milk, when I wanted to have oatmeal for breakfast but not consume any dairy, a very hearty non-wheat bread, and other obscure things. Demetrios and Laura always take time to help their customers. I stopped in the first time years ago, because my sister in law was about to undergo chemotherapy, and I was looking for something gentle to help with the nausea. I was given great advice, and really felt like a valued customer. I have been back many times, and always buy my vitamins, minerals, and natural soaps there. I stop in sometimes just to browse and see what is new in the world of organic, homeopathic products. The prices are not what you pay at Rite Aid, but the merchandise is not what you’d get at Rite Aid, either! Organic and healthy costs more.

There website doesn’t have the proper phone number listed. But Unilocal does. Website also doesn’t have the Beverly store hours listed. Sundays they are closed. I think they are open till 6pm every day except Thu. Thu they are open till I think 7pm. It is awesome Beverly has a store for the natural crowd. I really like the organic loose teas, herbs, and spices. Some food items are very over priced, you are better off going to Trader Joes in Danvers or the natural section of Stop and Shop. There are a few good gets you can’t find anywhere else. Also they try to do a $ 10 minimum on credit/debit cards.

So this is no Wild Oats, but it doesn’t attempt, or pretend, to be, either. In fact, Wild Oats in Saugus just went out of business so there’s something to be said for these locally owned alternative heatlh stores. First, Demetrios is a wonderful, caring and compassionate guy. It’s not like at GNC where someone who doesn’t really know much about the product tries to sell you on whatever the company tells him, or her, to push that day. No, Demetrios knows his products inside and out and WANTS to make sure you end up with something that is relevant to your needs. They have a HUGE selection of vitamins, herbs and amino acids. I HAVE been there a few times recently but I never look at the herb section anymore so you have to ask but I think they still have a huge selection of all kinds of dried herbs so if you’re into experimenting(intelligently!) with herbal folklore, you should be able to get a lot of what you need here. You can also find things like nut butters; rich, hearty seed breads; health bars; beauty products, and the very important, Essential Fatty Acids(refrigerated flax oil); plus they have a freezer full of great organic frozen food stuffs. You can also find an abundance of homeopathic remedies. Doctors say they are so ineffective they are even harmless, but I swear by some of them which, apparently, puts me in good company with the Royal Family of England. ;) Obviously, it’s important to tell you to check with your doctor first, but afterwards, if your doctor’s ok with it, stop in and tell Demetrios what’s up and I’m confident he’ll treat you like the valued customer that you are — and not just a set of symptoms with a wallet full of cash. ;) To your health!

I’m in here at least once a month — mostly to buy my natural hair dye that I can’t find anywhere else. They carry a range of products — lots of nutritional supplements, herbal tinctures, organic/all natural cosmetics, body and hair care products. I’ve found that I can’t always count on what I want being there, even if I bought it there last time — they seem to try out different lines and then let them come and go. Last time I was there, it seemed they were phasing out some of the cosmetics. They have a small selection of bulk grains and dry items — and a small fridge/freezer area with bread and frozen veggie entrees, etc. I’ve always wished they would carry some fresh organic produce — but no luck there. They have a big selection of «energy» bars for snacks in a pinch. For local organic produce — luckily we now have The Organic Rainbow on Rantoul. When you check out you will get a health«magazine» in your bag — really just a collection of info-tisements — I usually ask to NOT have one. Anyway — I think this is part of a small chain, but it is locally owned and run — and gives a local outlet for some common health foods so you don’t have to run all the way to Wild Oats in Saugus or Whole Foods in Swampscott for your herbs or vitamins.
