This is NOT Peter Luger’s. The porterhouse steak was good but not up to Luger’s standards. My son found the filet mignon(which he asked for medium rare) tough on the edges and a bit more tender in the middle. Bread was stale and desserts were okay. Sides were great — Canadian bacon, creamed corn, shoestring potatoes, lobster mac-and-cheese.

Amazing place, I came here to watch a basketball game and have a few drinks during happy hour. Didn’t think it would be so crowded but the whole bar area had no open seats. Once we sat down the waiter was quick to greet us. We ordered some drinks and I ordered the small burger sliders. I wasn’t really hungry but I saw everyone there ordering it so I thought I should give it a try(glad i did). Definitely a great place to come for any occasion.

Went to Wolfgang’s for lunch today for the first time in a long time. I was originally here the week they opened many years ago and then again a few times in between but this was my first trip in over two years. I’m wondering why I waited so long. I had the NY strip steak sandwich and it was delectable. The steak was cooked properly, though a bit more on the medium side than the medium-rare I had ordered but I didn’t much mind. The bread was good and the onions were a great addition to the sandwich. The onion rings and fries were good but I must say I don’t love their fries or onion rings. Sure they are good but for fried foods I want the very best and these definitely weren’t that. The real great thing about Wolfgang’s is the dessert and they serve Junior’s cheesecake delivered from New York. But it;‘s not just the delicious cheesecake, it’s the schlag. They make their own whipped cream in house and it’s the best part of the dessert. You must try it! On my check it was just the NY Strip Steak Sandwich and my total with a tip was $ 30. Expensive for lunch but not crazy by any means. Their dinner menu is a lot more however and makes it harder to justify. The thing that really surprised me though was that the restaurant’s finishes seemed a lot more worn than on my last trip. Numerous wood paneled surfaces were worn which was very disappointing and would keep me from bringing a date there, it looks old, and it’s less than 10 years old! Overall a 4 Star worthy experience that they could potentially make 5 stars with some refurbishments.

Not as good as the one in New York. Service was average. Food ok. Glad we went but if I never went again I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it.

Tuesday 06÷01÷16 at around 6:15pm I had one of your valet parking attendants at the Wolfgang Pucks Beverly Hills Steakhouse on Canon tell me «it was not my job… but your job to open the doors for your elderly passengers.» When I arrived I mentioned I was dropping off my passengers and asked him if he could help open the door for my elderly lady on the opposite side of the car while I help my other lady on my side of the car. Your Wolfgang valet was sour faced and reluctant to open the doors and even close the door he ungraciously helped me with. Why was I dropping off? I had to run to the bank only to return to dine with my guests already seated. I refused to use Wolfgang valet service. This valet assumed and profiled me and thought I was a private driver for hire car. And what difference does that make when any patron arrives to the front door! Business is business. I told him«how do you know I’m a „driver“? Was this about your TIP?» This was the worst customer service welcoming experience to a Wolfgang Pucks or any restaurant I have ever had. One can get a warmer more helpful reception at McDonalds for heavens sake. Or any of the hundreds of other restaurants in Beverly Hills At my business I open doors for anyone coming to patron my business! Please retrain or fire this valet. I believe he has anger management issues. At no time was I ever disrespectful to him. Call me and I’ll come over to identify him for you. What upsets me the most was having to watch my elderly passenger struggle to get out of the car in front of a Wolfgang Puck steak house while this reluctant valet choose to teach me what my job is. Okay, just to be clear: This is Not an Affiliate of Wolfgang Puck. OK, with that out of the way, I was told great things about the quality and taste of Wolfgang’s Steakhouse. I was able to get reservation for my father’s birthday and the staff was really nice and accommodating, even when we arrived 20 minutes early. The environment is the type of feeling you would want from an expensive steakhouse. They had someone playing piano while we dined; the waiting staff was dressed in white tops and very attentive. Environment & staff were 5 out of 5 in my opinion. Unfortunately, I can describe the food in one word: Bleh. Food: We followed steakhouse style and order an assortment of appetizers and sides to go with our massive Steaks. My favorite dish of the night was the French onion soup & the complimentary bread. The French onion soup was done traditionally and had great taste; the melted cheese stood out the most. Now here comes the dip in quality and taste. I shared a massive ribeye steak with my dad and the table had 4 sides to share: French fries, onion rings, creamed corn, and a asparagus dish. Each side sucked, easiest way to say it. I’ve had better versions of each side at TGI Friday for a fraction of the price. The Fries lacked flavor and the cut was big that it felt like I sliced a potato and then proceeded to put it in my mouth. The onion rings looked good but the battery lacked in sort of flavor and if not for ketchup, I would not have been able to eat it. The same comments go for the other sides, lack of any sort of flavor. Just using a generic recipe for creamed corn would have had better taste. My steak was cooked at medium but actually came out well done. It was tough and just didn’t have anything to it. For $ 50, I expected something. Again, you could probably go to restaurant chain and order $ 50 worth of steak and have a better entrée. I sound really negative but even for half the price; I would not come back to Wolfgang Puck. Overall, a traditional steakhouse with a poor chef that clearly does not taste the product he is selling. I did enjoy my night because of the people and the experience they provided. That is why they get a 2 out of 5. At first I felt bad for writing a poor review but its just facts, it’s a poor steakhouse with a lot of fluff to take away from the bad food. Thanks for reading my review.

My wife and I planned s dinner for our son who graduated from Usc. About 14 people. Used the wine room. Private. It was a very nice room. I think the dinner went well for the first 20 minutes. I am just going to itemize really quickly the issues this restaurant has and I would hope someone would read this in management and fix it. Clearly the location is Amazing. Problems: 1) Service was well below average. Had to ask 3 times for something as simple as a lime fir my cocktail. The real problem happened when the waiter tapped my wife on her back and said hand me those plates I can’t reach. Now normally that would not be something we Complain about, it was the way he did it. Very low class. 2) Food was just ok. Nobody was wowed. Appetizers were good. Problem happened when they served my Chicken Parmesan and I bit in and it was literally RAW. Horrible like sushi raw. So I asked for some ginger. 5 times I asked for some pickled ginger. They brought me first a ginger soda then a piece of raw ginger root. Unreal. 3). Wine list sucks. Although I love the pricing it is simply a weak list. Last and most important they charged me for the raw Chicken Parmesan. That topped the cake. My bill was over 5 k. I didn’t complain. Do the right thing and take off the chicken sushi. I guess it’s safe to say I won’t be back. If you want a Wolfgang puck steak you will have to go to CUT at the Wiltshire. Been there and it’s good. If I was Wolfgang I would take my name off this place. I gave them a 2 star rating only because of location and the actual room we ate in.

I dined at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse for the first time on Saturday night for a birthday with a group of 7! Now let me preface this review by stating that steakhouses are not really my preference so definitely take that into consideration when reading my review. Wolfgang’s had very nice service. We were quite early to our reservation because traffic was not as bad as expected and our reservation was for 7:45 but we thought it was for 7:30. Arriving almost 45 minutes early, they accommodated our party right away and gave us a great table! Our waiter was very friendly and attentive the entire evening. The water was constantly refilled and they made sure we always had plenty of bread on the table(and the bread, especially the onion one, was SO good)! To start the evening everyone ordered drinks, they had a variety and beer, wine, and a full bar. I wish they had a cocktail menu so you could see if they made anything special but they didn’t which was a little weird. Everyone ordered various starters that were really huge portions and tasty. I had the chopped salad and it was packed with veggies. I could have eaten that portion as a dinner entrée! I tried my boyfriends French onion soup, it was cheesy, flavorful, and delicious! For the main course, I ordered seated ahi. WOW what a big piece of ahi!!! It was perfectly seared and came with some wasabi and soy sauce for dipping. I tried some of the petite filet and it was good but nothing special. My boyfriend ordered a bone in steak and it was just ok as well. Other people at the table ordered the sea bass and they enjoyed their food. Where Wolfgang’s is really lacking are with the sides. The portions of the sides were very generous but really lacked in flavor. The onion rings were kind of bland and same with the fries. The creamed corn was a little too sweet and not my taste. The asparagus were kind of plain too. I think the best part of the whole meal was the ice cream sundae that was a complementary birthday treat! The ice cream was really rich with a strong vanilla flavor and it was packed with hot fudge! The atmosphere at Wolfgang’s was very inviting. The overall feel of the place was nice without being too upscale or stuffy. There was a piano player for background music and I thought it was a lovely touch! Since steakhouses are not really my thing, I would probably only be back if someone else invited me to dinner here!

This is s lot different than Peter Luger original, but is a solid steakhouse. Service was excellent, sides were large. The rib steak was excellent. I would come back. Mellower scenes than maestros and other steak houses. You don’t feel rushed.

We had an incredible dinner in the private room at Wolfgang’s last night. I absolutely loved that the room was surrounded by wine bottles and the table was set up that our large party sat facing each other. We ordered pretty much everything from salad, to seafood towers, to lobster, Chilean sea bass and of course what they’re known for, their steak! Everything was absolutely divine! The service was impeccable and the fluidity of the night from the the way the drinks were served to the food timing was almost perfection. I just wished that they put our large party in a bigger room because it was a bit tight but overall it was a great night!

Ambiance: Went for lunch and sat outside, which was a treat in April on a beautiful day in L.A., but the inside was beautiful as well. Oh and you MUST use the rest room(heated toilet seats and built-in bidets). Service: We had a great waiter who was very nice and attentive. Food: We started with the Canadian Bacon, which we had never seen on a menu outside a diner, but was absolutely delicious! I had the Grilled Lemon Caper Chicken and it was OK — just OK. Also ordered the«sauteed» broccoli for a side, which really didn’t seem sauteed to me — more like steamed. My husband had the Wolfgang’s Salad — which was nothing spectacular either. Overall: Go for lunch, sit outside, don’t expect anything out of the ordinary food wise, and definitely use the rest room even if you don’t have to «go».

Ambiance 5 stars: we had a early dinner so we didn’t have to suffer through the crowds of people. Cool wine wall, heated toilet seats, great bar, casual fine dining. Service 5 stars: we had a great waiter who was very nice and attentive Food 4 stars: we started with the crab cake it’s large enough for two and definitely worth the price. We also had to try the famous thick bacon Which was just ok in my opinion, but I am not s huge fan of pork anyway. For the main corse we had a side of fried onion rings that feeds four people(they were ok not really special in any way) I had the petite filet which was more the. Enough meat for me after the bacon. It was cooked to my specifications but again it didn’t create fireworks in my mouth or anything. My wife had the Chilean seabass which was very moist and was better than most I have had. Lastly we had the apple strudel that is to die for. Overall a great atmosphere and meal to start the evening.

Read how this was like Peter Lugers so we couldn’t wait to eat there. Guess what? We ate there. It’s no Peter Lugers and the tomato and onions opposed to be sliced, it was chopped, the Steak, not close oh well, I want Peter Lugers, I’ll go to Manhattan.

A great place to take your parents or out-of-town business partners. It doesn’t quite replicate Peter Luger, but it comes as close as you’ll find in L.A. The steak is prepared and introduced in similar fashion — a dozen or so ‘mini-steaks’ cut off the Porterhouse bone, served in bubbling butter at the table. It’s a genius move, really, and part of the legend of Luger. The flavor is good, but it doesn’t have the depth to match the original. The bacon is thick and amazing, the creamed spinach is solid, the french onion soup was good, but you’re really there for the steak. It’s good, but not amazing. Super enjoyable, though. The atmosphere is ‘modernized steakhouse,’ but doesn’t have any booths. That said, there is an outdoor patio for comfort. The servers are nice and the place is clean and organized.

Please do not mistake this for a Wolfgang Puck establishment. No no no… this wolfie originates from Peter Luger, the famed steak institution in Brooklyn! The Canadian bacon, the chopped salad, the porterhouse for 4, and their house steak sauce were on point. The german potatoes, creamed corn, creamed spinach, lobster mac and cheese sadly missed the mark. However I did spot a gorgeous and tall Taylor Swift here early Sunday evening. The bacon and the steak sauce tasted just like Peter Luger. Everything tasted a bit salty which was all good with me but did not please some of our group. The desserts were not bad and covered with a mountain of housemade schlag, but overall the large portions, the glorious heated toilet, and the Taytay spotting earned the hefty pricetag and 4 stars.

Almost 5 stars because the service is unparalleled! If I dropped my napkin someone was there to replace it before I even noticed it fell. Super sharp, Attentive and charming. The bottle of flowers red wine was lovely! Expensive but wonderful. My only negative comments is that the lump crab app didn’t taste too fresh or impressive and the side of creamed spinach was too salty! I would skip seafood here and get to the meat of the matter ;) shared the porterhouse for two– holy moly is that thing huge!!! But it’s probably the best, most flavorful, tender and perfectly cooked steak I have had in ages! Superb! The leftovers were amazing with my steak and eggs at home too! Every bite of steak gets better and better! Come here if carnivorous with a good wine palate. Oh, I almost forgot! The ladies room is so fun! Haha heated seats with fun buttons. I mean worth a bathroom break alone! Hahah

I went out with my mom girlfriend and several business partners last night for an epic dinner. We rented the private wine room filled with vintage wines going back nearly one hundred years. Various white and red wines from all over the world. Michael the general manager is from the Bronx and is very spirited yet accommodating. You’re immediately greeted by a piano bar and love music followed by an extensive bar of various and sundry libations. We had a range of dishes from the ahi seared tuna medium, a Chilean sea bass so flaky it fell right off your fork. Mom had the Alaskian salmon so fresh and pink in color. The rest of the table had fillet mignon a nice porterhouse accompanied by mashed potatoes, regular and creamed spinach, broccoli sautéed in grass fed butter and olive oil, finished off by sautéed mushrooms. It’s pretty decadent and pricey but overall Between the quality and Portions you feel like you’re receiving your money’s worth. The evening was finished off by a nice cognac, Demi Martin Brandi, a chocolate mousse so liquid and rich you could eat it with a straw, coupled with the crème brûlée. This is a must if you’re in town and money is no object.

I was so excited to find out about a Peter Luger –like restaurant here in LA so I made it a priority to go. Unfortunately, Wolfgang didn’t come close to Peter Luger’s. The service was great. Our waitor filled our wine and water cups before they were empty and promptly brought out our dishes. The bread — I usually love the onion bread but it tasted like it was stale. The outside was hard and crusty(not in the good way). Oysters — They were fresh and good. Difficult to make a raw dish bad! Wolfgang salad — on the bottom, there is a lettuce wedge and topped with beans, bacon, lobster(I think), tomatoes, onions. This is a pretty big salad. There were 3 of us and we had half left over Beefsteak tomatoes and onion — the onion is not spicy at all! We ordered one plate(which is for 2) and it came with 3 onion slices and 4 tomato slices so it was perfect for us 3 to share. Porterhouse for 2 — the meat came out sizzling and hot but it just didn’t taste the same as Peter Luger. It is about $ 50 per person and for that price… I would rather just get a ribeye from another steakhouse. Shoestring fries — wow… the plate had a mountain full of fries… sadly… it tasted like it was sitting out for a while. Mushrooms — just a sauté of mushroom and onions… it went well with the steak Dessert — cheesecake and fresh fruit. The cheesecake was pretty good but the highlight was the schlag(which is a thicker whipped cream). I was eating spoonfuls of it while my party wasn’t looking. Honestly, I was disappointed in the meal. Take your $$$$ and spend it at another steakhouse… or better yet… get on a flight to NY and go to the original!

Don’t be fooled by it’s name. THis restaurant is NOT associated or affiliated with Wolfgang Puck. The owner merely has the same name. However the owner has worked for the infamous Peter Luger so we were intrigued to try this place out. We ordered the porterhouse for five. It came sizzling in a plate and was a sight to behold. The steak was juicy and cooked well but no WOW factor. For sides we had the asparagus and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was one of the Worst, bland Sh*T I’ve ever tasted. Honestly, even my dog wouldn’t have eaten it. The experience here was self evident that Peter Luger’s protégé is just that… his protégé.
