I had been going to a salon for many years in Manhattan and was not happy with my color and afraid to change. I finally did and am now thrilled with hair color. It is new and exciting and a fresh change from what my colorist was doing. Gus, who does the color is inventive and a pleasure to spend the time with!

Sue for color and Alex for the cut is the team to see here. I get stopped on the street every time. It is expensive, but really worth it. You hair is your crowning glory after all.

I love this place. I have only been there roughly 4 times this past year, but they really are good. I’ve only gone to Jiovanni, who is a professional learning the Licari technique for color. Because of this, I only go when Jiovanni is there and I pay $ 30 for a $ 200+ color! Jiovanni really knows what he is doing and is very friendly. Any of the trainees there are very skilled. I’ve only been at the salon early in the morning 8:30am to about 12pm, so I can’t really say what the overall vibe of the place is. But everyone that I have interacted with has been nice and not stuck up. The front desk ladies are wonderful as well.

I really didn’t want kids, but I have to make an exception. Paul deserves nothing short of my first born. I’m hesitant to share him with all my Unilocal friends because I worry I’ll never again be able to make an appointment. i guess I’ll make a sacrifice. I love the whole salon, all the assistants(who are licensed, but still have to train for like 2 years at the salon before they are given a chair) and are very friendly and sweet. They’ll give you free arnold palmers, or cosmos, and they even offer food when you need a double process. The salon, despite being across the street from Mr. Chow in the heart of Beverly Hills, is surprisingly down to earth. The older woman at the front desk is especially sweet. Now back to Paul. I met Paul socially outside of the salon, and he convinced me to get my hair done there, which is naturally a Level 4 and I was getting dyed a pretty dark Level 2 at the time. While I was there, he mentioned what a great redhead I’d make, which I thought was insane. I HAVEBLACKHAIR. impossible. but damn it all if you can’t tell a girl that and not piqué her curiosity. So two months later, like a total sucker, I spent five hours lightening up to a level 7 with the fiercest red hair you’ve ever seen(if i may say so myself). I’m not trying to sound all vain, I owe it all to Paul, but I have never ever once left the salon in the 20 or 30 times i’ve gone back and not had a beverly girl tell me I look fabulous. I mean, that’s gotta mean something. If anything, it’s probably my best quality now, it’s all I ever get complimented on, too bad it’s fake(although EVERYONE swears it is real)…well, it could be worse. Anyways, he is incredibly thoughtful, honest, and ALWAYS does the work himself. an assistant will never mix or apply the color for him. Also, the salon isn’t contracted with a certain brand, so they can mix brands or use the shade that is right for you(paul uses Wella on my roots and Redken on my ends) I can’t say enough. For a zexy cut, go with Remy. He’s a very intense armenian guy that will give you the blow out of your life. In terms of prices, it ranges on the work you’re getting done and the colorist. I would ask at the time of booking the appointment, but Paul’s singles are usually about $ 96. A couple other practical things: Don’t park in the building, they will rape you. Park around the corner on benton and rodeo; it’ll cost maybe $ 2 Also, the tips go in little envelopes at the front desk, and if you plan on tipping over 40, bring some cash because that’s the limit they can give back on for tips. actually, forget all i said. paul is mine.

FAN-FRIGGIN-TASTIC colorists! I can’t gloat enough about the talent at this salon in terms of getting the perfect color… I went here for awhile when a friend had recommended a stylist there… she, the stylist, needed to do quite a few people’s hair in the salon before they’d let her loose on her own(even though she was a VERY trained colorist, Louis Licari trains even MORE!!). Sooooo… that’s how I happened in to the place. I had the most BEAUTIFUL shade of blond… probably the best i’ve EVER had. Unfortunately, when my stylist got her wings and was hired full time, her price sky-rocketed. I mean seriously rocketed… like to Mars! Don’t believe me? Here are some of the prices: Single process: $ 95 – 295 Highlights: $ 210 – 460 Highlights half-head: $ 170 – 340 Double process: $ 225 – 630 OHYEAH!!! How bout THEM apples? If you have a wad of cash lying around like A Rod… take it here and blow it on a blow-out!
