I love this place, Tony is always so nice, & the rest of the crew as well. The food is amazing! Can’t go wrong

Took mom here for Mother’s Day and everything was great! There was 9 of us and we were all happy with our foods. For sure try the lasagna if they have it on the special menu…

We went to the Resturant last night with the hopes of getting a fresh salmon dinner. Stick to their pasta. Fish was terrible, covered in some sort of marinara sauce in a bed of the worst lentils. $ 29 dollars each. Won’t be back.

For those who read my reviews know I have a crush on Drago Centro and Osteria Angelini. It’s about time for me to also include other places on to my fav. Italian places. Ambiance: it’s an extremely intimate setting with a romantic lit flair. The servers were so attentive at the right time without being overly distracting. I noticed BF and I were the youngest in age(both ages added up). I love being around the elderly crowd as it leads to a more elegant and sophisticated vibe. Food: Rustic and classic flavors of Italy. Burrata Caprese — the burrata melts in your mouth without effort. Pappardelle con Salsicce — you can taste the earth from the mushrooms and the meat. Pork Chop special — BF claimed it was perfetto! However, if you don’t like dried cranberries or raisins, then you should avoid it. Cheesecake — it’s unlike many I’ve tasted. The cheesecake was so moist and delish, without being overbearing on the ricotta cheese. Parking: Valet on the side(look closely as it’s easy to miss). BF and I passed it and ended up parking at a metered parking on Robertson but it all worked out.

A great lunch. Started with a margarita pizza which was thin, packed with cheese and perfectly cooked. Rare in LA. I wanted the risotto special but had the chopped salad with chicken. Light and tasty. Nice space and good quick lunch service. This is a great spot I’ll come to many times. Risotto please wait for me!!!

Old school, Los Angeles Italian. A good pick with lots of choices on the menu. Great bread and olive oil.

This is one of my favourite Italian restaurants in-town. Truly a hidden gem.

A hidden gem on the corner of Wilshire and Robertson. Found it by chance because the gallery we had an event was borrowing their valet services. Post event, we decided to give this restaurant a try because I haven’t gone to an Italian restaurant for a long time(Olive Garden doesn’t count as Italian to me!) Menus are pretty extensive, rather heavy on meat. As opener we order Minestrone Verdure which is a bit different from the minestrone that I used to because the soup is clear but don’t let that fool you. The vegetables are fresh and and the soup is perfectly balanced! For the main course, I opted for the the special of the day, the veal scallopini, marinated in lemon juice. I never had a tastier veal before! Paired with a bottle of Chianti, it was a perfect evening. The place is also romantic. Would love to return soon! Mille grazie!

I ate here and the food and service were outstanding. We have lived in the area for 11 years so it was about time we tried this place. It was a nice night so we dined outside. Staff was attentive and friendly. We had two pastas — sorrentina and ravioli with pumpkin. Also had a margarita pizza. Delicious! Will return soon!

We were in the neighborhood and wanted a trustworthy restaurant. So when I found that Giacomino Drago had a restaurant within walking distance of the Samuel Goldwyn Theater, it was a no-brainer pick based on my track record with the Drago family. In what is frequently a muddled, soggy, and blunt tasting dish, the baked eggplant was the opposite here. This one had omnipresent eggplant flavor, playful stringy cheese, and a bright tomato sauce. The polenta appetizer was the least successful dish we tried. The polenta could have been richer and fattier. The mushrooms didn’t match the corn-based polenta. The best and most imaginative dish of our dinner was the gnocchi entrée. I’ve never had gnocchi stuffed with mushrooms, but it’s a great creation. Also, the mushrooms were an ideal combination with the potato-based gnocchi. The fettuccine bolognese was carefully tossed with the just the right amount of meaty ragu sauce. Like the eggplant, the tomato wasn’t overworked. A dessert special, the mascarpone cheesecake was fluffy with the ideal balance of sweet and tart. The wine list was small with a mixture of Italian and Californian wines.

Service was terrible. Slow waiters and unfriendly. Food is good, but doesn’t make up for the service. Prices are not bad for the portion size, but the drinks were on the high side. We ordered 2 drinks and both came out very strong, almost too strong to drink

Consistent favorite«local» on Robertson. Love the salads and the full body reds. A go-to for me whenever in town and in the mood for good easy Italian. It’s casual but classy. Can usually walk in.

We went there for dinner and made the reservation through Opentable. I asked for a booth. When we arrived our booth was ready and we were greeted with a smile. I ordered Osso Buco and it was delicious, tender with orzo. My husband ordered Branzino which he said was the best he had ever had in a restaurant. For dessert I splurged and had chocolate gelato. It was creamy, divine. The evening started out perfect and ended the same. This is our fourth time going to Il Buco and always consistent.

Beverly Hills is filled with innocuous Italian restaurants from La Cienega to to Canon, most of which one can eat at without ordering anything offensive. Because they often cater to a more refined elderly crowd, you can find Il Buco pretty bustling at 6 p.m. on a Saturday. Ten years ago when I first patronized the place, I thought the the mushroom polenta was revelatory. Since then I’ve travelled the world and eaten at a plethora of LA restaurants, and while I’m not as impressed as I was then, I think the place is still a solid dinner choice. The pizzas, although not traditionally Neapolitan, are crispy. The service is fabulous without being intrusive. The lobster and crab pasta special on my latest trip was a bit of a disappointment, but the artichoke and arugula salad was great. Stick with what sounds good to you here and you’ll be in good hands.

Great food & great service! Only had 30 min for lunch — had an outstanding salad with grilled shrimp and Ice Tea — and bill was under $ 20!

Went there more than a month ago, but forgot to write a review. My friend and I went there at a Monday night, around 8pm. There were not many customers in the restaurant. However, the customer service was bad and weird. We were waiting in the restaurant for about 5 minutes, but no one noticed us and wanted to welcome us. Only the waiter at the bar section noticed us and asked someone to serve us. After we sat down, I think the one who served us was the owner or store manager(or sth. like this), had a better customer service. There was a half off all pizza at Monday night, and we ordered one pizza, and 2 daily special entrée. I think the size and the quality are pretty good, we only spent about $ 26 with tips and tax per person that night, but the customer service is poor!

I was looking for a restaurant for my boyfriend and I to have dinner at on New Year’s Eve and found this place on Unilocal. However, I wish I would’ve listened to the reviews about the service being awful, as our experience was no different. That night we saw our server a total of two times. The first was after the host sat us to get our drink order, and later to drop off a dessert menu. The manager had to take our dinner and dessert orders, a food runner brought out the food, a busser filled my water glass(after I stopped him to ask for more), and no one ever checked on us to see if the food was okay or if we needed more drinks. It took sitting there for 20 min. with no plates for the manager to ask if we would like the check. Then when we finally got the check we saw that she rang up the wrong wine, so I probably didn’t even get the wine that I ordered and wanted to try. But instead of waiting another 20 min. to tell her about the mistake we paid the bill and left. Generally, my boyfriend and I give servers the benefit of the doubt as we both worked in restaurants in college. However, our server didn’t have that many tables and walked by us several times, so she definitely had the ability to just stop and check on us. I wish we could’ve tipped the people who actually helped us that night as our server definitely didn’t deserve a tip. As for the food it was okay, which is why I’m giving 2 stars.

Il Buco is my favorite Italian place. What’s good here… well just about anything and everything you see on the menu. From the appetizers to the main entrees, you will definitely be very satisfied. By far the best gnocchi I have ever had. Allegra salad is so yummy. It’s a dose of awesome with with a dash of amazing!!! Wine selection is good as well. The ambiance is wonderful. It’s good for dates or for groups. What can be better than that? The staff is super friendly and attentive. It’s seriously like going to a family member’s house I feel guilty that I have been coming here for about 4 years now and this is my first review. But forgive me … I just barely started helping. Talk to Everett when you go there
