I was very excited when this restaurant opened in the neighborhood(as I would drive by the Santa Monica restaurant all the time and always had a line outside so thought it had to be great!). First time I went there for restaurant dining, was great. Large portions and friendly staff. However when I get take-out it is a different story altogether. I have given up even calling the take-out order in as they will mess it up 75% of the time(the lady at the cash register behind the bar doesn’t even understand what I am telling her. when I say ‘bru’s salad’ she doesn’t seem to know what that is and they are not that busy for her not to understand what I am saying). I get the exact same thing every time(with very specific instructions) and every time I get a different version. For example: I told the guy who messed up my order to please fix it and the lady walked over and shook her head, but no apologies that I had to wait an additional 10 minutes for my food to be made again… and when they brought it out, I had to take it back again for a slight adjustment. The waiter who brought out the food(not the original guy who messed it up and he didn’t apologize either) was very nice and apologetic. Don’t know what is happening but you will start loosing loyal customers who have been with you at this restaurant since you opened. Your food is great, but not amazing enough that I can’t go to another restaurant who is 5 minutes out of my way, but cares about customer service.

Great chicken and waffles. The waffle was fluffy and flavorful. The chicken was well balanced — good breading without being heavy and the chicken was flavorful and moist. I had the Chicken on Fire. Very spicy and very delicious. Their avocado fries were amazing — what a neat concept. Service was good and place was very cute. Definitely recommend this place if you’re in Bev Hills.

Me and my wife grabbed dinner here after work. We’ve been meaning to try it for a while now and I’m glad we did! Food was great and I’m stoked they had a parking lot in the back. I got the chicken n waffles and my wife got a wrap. We’ll definitely be back.

Bru’s Wiffle a Waffle is my favorite brunch place, well, the Santa Monica location that is. When I found out they opened one near me, I was extremely delighted. However, «the original one is always better» statement couldn’t be more accurate in this situation. The space itself is 4x bigger but the number of staff is 4x less. Management is poor, extremely disorganized. One person behind the bar(and I doubt he’s a bartender), handling all drinks, from coffee to cocktails to cleaning glasses. He was rude and made really poor quality drinks — mind you they charge 14 bucks for a cocktail. The Bloody Marys’ we ordered were served to us without a straw or the usual add-ons(olives, celery, lemon, etc.). There were thick tomato bloody mix spilled all over the outside of our glass and he didn’t even bother wiping it off before handing it to us. So yes, we basically paid 14 dollars for a can of V8 after waiting an hour. How can you have one person behind the bar when there are over 100 orders for drinks? He couldn’t handle the pressure, so he became rude and made drinks that my 6 year old nephew can probably make it better. For 3 of us, our bill was about $ 180 for brunch — the amount we are willing to pay screams for better service. The food is decent, so I would only go back if they improve their management and staff count. There’s no one to take your name at the door because that individual is running around waiting tables. There’s no point person at the cashier’s because she’s taking orders. I witnessed at least 10 different staff accessing the cashier — talk about poor quality control? Lastly, a restaurant shouldn’t have a full bar unless they are prepared to hire a real bartender/mixologist that actually loves making delicious drinks. That, or don’t charge an arm and a leg for it. My whole entire Sunday birthday brunch was ruined. So if you’re looking to get your Sunday ruined, go.

The food was just ok. however, the service was awful. they don’t know how to seat people as tables open up, or organize their establishment properly. we were sitting near the door and it was quite cold and windy, and we asked the manager to close the doors, and she refused. would consider coming back if this place gets their shit together.

I discovered this local spot by chance this morning searching for a new and amazing weekend breakfast spot. At first we were treated with smiles and the food smelled delicious. Boy, was I tricked. Plain and simple, service and management were one of the worst I have ever dealt with. This being said I had to Unilocal this. After we sat, we waited for almost 10 min before we were asked if we would like anything to drink. I actually had to call over one of the ladies who I assumed was one of the owners or managers. While sitting there, finally waiting for our coffee and mimosas, I noticed all the staff awkwardly running into each other and scrambling as if they were filled to capacity(which they clearly weren’t). During this, We noticed that the table next to us was served their food… well at least one out of the party of 4. It took the rest of their party almost 10 min to receive their meals. We were served shortly thereafter. Our food was sitting for at least 5 – 8 min in the kitchen before it was served to us. Half of our food was hot and half was cold/dead. Cold eggs? Ew. However, the food definitely had potential. After we received our food, not one server or manager came over to check on us for at least 15 mins. We also had 2 empty cups of coffee and 2 empty champagne glasses when our meals were served… no one noticed. I finally flagged down of one of the sisters manager/owners and cordially explained to her our experience thus far. She was completely rude and arrogant. Not even apologizing once, and telling me that my feedback was«offensive.“She continued to argue with me as I stood up from the table to speak with her sister, the other owner/manager who initially greeted us. In the meantime, the party of 4 had paid, however were grumbling about the«terrible service» they received during their«overpriced meal.» I will never go back to this place, and suggest you take this advice. At the rate it’s going, this establishment will be out of business shortly.

If you want breakfast with a ton of choices… This is the spot!!!’ Oh man. This place did not disappoint. We had avocado fries to start. I had the«All in One» which had eggs, potatoes, mushrooms, goat cheese — some other goodies and I added bacon. Bomb! They have a great drink selection with alcohol, coffee drinks and even chocolate milk. The service was amazing!!!

Want to make sure this place sticks around in the neighborhood, so felt compelled to leave a review! Have been keeping an eye on it since it opened and finally went in today now that it has a liquor license. Because the name is frankly a bit odd, the venue so large, and the décor a bit hard to peg, I was unclear how to classify it. Judging by how few people I usually see in here, I don’t think I’m alone. Plus, the menu is so long, I was worried that this place was trying to do too much, without doing any one thing well. But things were off to a good start: We got a great table, and the music was perfect – a relatively inoffensive mix(so I could imagine bringing the parents next time they’re in town), though playing Velvet Underground, MGMT, etc., was a nice touch that made this feel less like a «family» restaurant. From start to finish, the food was delicious! I drank a Lady in Red – a«mimosa» with pomegranate juice(tasty and unexpected combo) – and my husband had a jalapeño margarita(a bit small for the price, but delicious). We ordered the avocado fries, and they were great – lightly breaded, with slices of avocado that were neither too mushy nor too hard; very fresh. Husband ordered the breakfast nachos and they were SOGOOD – could imagine them being great hangover food. I went with the«golden goat” – chicken and waffles with goat cheese and warm(!) honey. Light, perfect waffle; fried chicken wasn’t overcooked or «too fried” – very juicy and crisp. And the goat cheese and honey was a really interesting combo that hit the spot. To kick it all off, the service was speedy and friendly. The owner even came by to check on us and gave us a free mini-waffle with ice cream as dessert. Really good, btw!(Though the ice cream could’ve been a teensy bit less chilled.) There aren’t too many spots around here that are relatively reasonably priced with such an interesting, diverse menu. If you’re on the fence – definitely try it! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

If I could give zero stars I would– rude bitchy attitude from owner and some others. Food is garbage. Don’t go here ever — trust me I have worked for Restaurants and in Foodservice! Everything went wrong! What more can I say?!

Don’t!!! It’s not worth it. Bad service mediocre food. Host took us to our table and disappeared. We had to wait about 15 minutes until someone noticed us and went to get us menus. Food is seriously overpriced for the serving size and the quality. If you know good food you WILL be disappointed here.

Saw a Monte Cristo sndwich on their menu and asked the wife to pick it up. With memories of the original baked delight from the Duke’s at the Tropicana on Sunset, I opened the package to see two toasted slices of whole wheat over a slab of turkey. That was it! Never laid near a Monte Cristo. Great Monte Cristois do still exist. There is a little old café in Burbank that does it right but this hopeless emporium of dumbness and clutter hadn’t a clue. And we’re not going back!

I went to the location on Wilshire and I was pleasantly surprised. There wasn’t a long wait since it is still relatively new. The ambiance was relaxing and refreshing. Great brunch place. When I came here, I got the eggs Benedict with salmon. Pretty standard eggs benedict. Nothing really stood out. What did stand out was their service. Super friendly and after our meal, sent us complimentary waffles with ice cream on top.

What a god send! After becoming a Bru’s convert and lover of chicken and waffles, this location can do no wrong! Located just a few miles from my work it will soon become a lunchtime favorite. Now to get into the food, with so many enticing choices I had to go with the classic chicken and waffles. Even bringing along a health conscious coworker he couldn’t turn down the chance either and he did not regret his decision. The waffle was so lighty and airy with the perfect traditional waffle flavor. Sitting on top of the waffle are two pieces of boneless crispy chicken breast. The hardest decision you will have to make is which of the four sauces you will want to use. Divide and conquer, equally portioning out the chicken with the sauces you will be wanting more after you are done. The chicken doesn’t feel too oily or greasy like some other places. It is a dish made with love and care Tip: You can valet for $ 5 or park on the side street or the street above wilshire. Be careful to read the signs as it varies between 1 or 2 hour parking.

Not bad… I would give it a chance again. Took a good 10 minutes to be recognized by any server. Then we got excited about mimosas and stuff but hey didn’t have their liquor license quite yet :( Ordered: Avocado fries(I love avocados but I probably wouldn’t recommend it — although the sauce it came with was good) Breakfast nachos no egg(I’m allergic) and it was pretty mediocre. Nothing too great. Boyfriend ordered the hot mama waffle combo. Amazing that the waffle actually had hale peons and bacon in it and tasted amazing. He had his eggs scrambled instead of friend and the pico de gallo was fresh. Also comes with a nice spicy sauce on the side that was delish. I understand it’s still a new place and there’s lots of opportunities. I’d only come back for the waffle by itself because the batter was actually good and not too dry or wet.

Super happy with my decision to bring my family here! We all loved the food. The service was excellent and there was zero wait for a party of 4 on a Saturday at noon. The only negative — they don’t have their liquor license just yet. — Golden Goat: Chicken on waffle served with goat cheese and honey. Good combo! — Smoked Salmon Scrambled: How can you go wrong with melted mozzarella, smoked salmon, red onion, and avocado? There is no way. This dish was delish! — Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict on Mini Waffles: This was my favorite by far! I order eggs benedict often and am pretty critical when it comes to eggs benedict dishes. The mini waffle twist added a sweetness to the dish that I’ve never tasted before. I am addicted and am craving it again just thinking about it. — Popeye Waffle Scramble: This has to be my least favorite dish of the visit. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t as special as the other dishes we ordered. It still tasted good but lacked any kind of special twist. Unfortunately I was full from my meal so I need to come back for a sweet menu item next time!

I try not to go out for lunch as much as I used to. It’s expensive and I’m trying to keep my caloric intake low. But my coworker said«Chicken and waffles», I looked at the pics and the menu, and I was sold. I went with 3 other coworkers for brunch around 12:45pm here. There’s valet in the back($ 5) to avoid the hassle of parking. Pretty easy place to get to. Very bright, well lit restaurant with plenty of space. It wasn’t packed like I thought it would be, so we were seated right away. The menu is more than chicken and waffles, they have a variety of options(burgers, wraps, salads), but I came here for a signature dish and the chicken and waffles was it. Specifically, it was called Dwight’s Special. Two battered, boneless chicken breasts deep fried served on top of a belgian waffle. The waffle itself was good and was cooked well, although I do have a preference for a crispier waffle. Sorry folks, the waffle is made with buttermilk(not sure if they’ll be able to sub it for a vegan version). There were 4 dips that came with it: syrup, ranch, hot sauce(tasted like Frank’s), and a warm marinara with hints of cheese. I don’t think their suaces are made from scratch unfortunately, but that’s ok, the meal didn’t really need any of it. It was a filling plate. A little expensive at $ 14 but I think it was well worth it for the flavor and quantity. Definitely going to put this as a place to go to for lunch.

Service is still so incredibly slow. And, they brought out our food for our giant group 2 plates at a time spaced about 10 min. apart! Last member of our group got her entrée about a half hour or more after the first person got hers! Unacceptable. If this keeps up, not sure the food will be worth it! It’s such nice change of menu for the area but place will not survive at that rate of service! It wasn’t even crazy busy! Oh and each time they brought out a plate or 2 to serve they weren’t sure who got what. Lovely nice people but super inexperienced.

A coworker and I ordered delivery from here last week. We were super excited to try it out and awaited our order to arrive, which took about an hour despite being quoted 45 mins, but that wasn’t such a big deal. We ordered the chicken and waffles, cheesy bacon fries and the all in one. The most disappointing item was the cheesy bacon fries. The fries were cold and had a scarce amount of cheese, which was hard and dry and in no sense of the word«cheesy». It was horrible. My coworker said the chicken and waffles were okay, but nothing spectacular. And I would’ve enjoyed my meal, but discovered that I do not like goat cheese at all. It kind of ruined my meal for me. All in all we would not try this place again. The quality of the food delivered wasn’t spectacular and we still can’t get over the crispy cheese fries.

Owner is very welcoming and service is great. The drinks are all prepared in a correct manner. Great cold drinks and authentic coffee drinks, have pretty good beers too. Now for their waffles, I am not a waffle person but their waffles are excellent. Everything is made in-house, from the batter, to the chocolate to the whipped cream. This is a new spot in Beverly Hills that you have to try! They even threw in a free waffle with ice cream for my sisters birthday:)

The owner welcomed us as we stepped in. The atmosphere here is just amazing especially compared to the Santa Monica. We tried the Turkish Pizza, Chicken of Fire and ended the show with Chocolate waffle party. They were all fabulous. But be careful the the chicken of fire is really hot. As hot as my Mexican friends would like. I also loved the quality of their furnitures it is very high quality. This significantly improves the quality of the restaurant. I hope you enjoy your experience here.
