Delicious little roaster I just discovered 2 blocks from my office! Their iced caramel lattes are delicious and you can really taste the quality. There isn’t much to their seating arrangement. A few backless benches and small tables, as well as a hightop table with chairs against the wall. It’s a very casual, chill, yet modern«less is more» ambiance. There’s outdoor seating as well but it’s not much at all. The staff there is very friendly and the prices aren’t too bad for being smack dab in the middle of Beverly Hills. Glad I came across this little place!

The employees are the best! They’re very helpful and kind. My boyfriend gets their roasts every couple week and the workers always educate us without being rude. They’re not like those coffee snobs. And I get their yummy cold brew every week. You can find public parking on Camden for 1 hour free. There are other spots to park around the area for free as well.

Hipster coffee from Chicago! Sounds familiar? It’s because the same goes for Intelligentsia. Walked in early on a weekday morning and it was clean, bright, quiet. The space is very small though so I imagine it can get crowded during prime time. Friendly barista recommended the almond milk latte. It was quite good — smooth and creamy. Wish the coffee taste was stronger but perhaps it’s just personal preference.

This place is absolutely amazing!!! It actually made me dig out my long forgotten Unilocal account and write a review. Everything there is on point but what truly makes you wanna start every day at Bowtruss is their knowledgeable team with the best attitude. Erica and Zoyla are simply awesome!

What happened!!! I use to go here all the time, at LEAST twice a week. Literally walked by every day this week to chat with my favorite baristas about a show I went to recently but did not see any of them… all week. I came in yesterday and finally found out the ENTIRESTAFF is not longer there. WHATHAPPENED!!! No explaination from the current extremely depressed looking and brand new employees I’ve never seen before. Also, there was no one in the shop when I came in during lunch hour, which is a clear difference from literally every other week I’ve come in & it’s super busy. All I want to know is what happened to the staff? They are the reason why I came to the shop every week. How can a whole team be gone? How can one barista be let go, let alone like 5 people!!! What happened to them? They were the nicest and most knowledgable invidiuals I’ve gotten to know over the past few months. Also WHATHAPPENEDTOALLTHEPLANTS? There’s use to be lots of beautiful plants in the shops, you can see from all the pictures posted in other people’s reviews but yesterday there was literally only 2 little cacti left in a mug. Did someone rob the shop? The aesthetics of the shop looks bleak and basic. Looks like the shop got robbed of their soul or something! Weird…

Simply incredible, especially their single origin Costa Rican. The folks who work here have a real passion for coffee and it shows!

Such a great experience! Erica made me a hemp milk latte that *changed my life*. I wouldn’t have known to choose hemp milk if Jeremy, another joyful employee, hadn’t suggested it. Never had it with coffee — it is so creamy, and yields great foam(unlike other non dairy milks). I don’t want it with anything else now! Everything about the café is great — the chunky wooden seats and beautiful hammered metal counter, the artfully handmade speakers made of recycled trunks from the 70’s with interesting and relaxing music coming out at a level that it can be enjoyed… the mugs have a beautiful graphic design that made me want a pair for my home office. They have beautiful pastries and even some gluten free fare. For such a small shop, they have a dizzying array of coffee, and it’s clear that everyone behind the counter knows about and personally savors the beans by the questions they asked when helping us choose a coffee. With not a trace of pretention! Just real happy java freaks spreading their love for it. This is my new happy place :-) And if you might have forgotten for a moment — there is a perfect sign inside that says«you are beautiful». great for sharing a pic if you’re hopped up on enough coffee!

It has been a real mystery to me how the Golden Triangle area of Beverly Hills has gone for so long without a truly gourmet coffee purveyor. Well, it’s still a mystery but the wait is over. With Bow Truss’ entry into the coffee landscape quality coffee is finally here. And while Blue Bottle, Sight Glass, and Bar 9(among a few others) may be slightly more to my liking I couldn’t be happier. Occasionally I would make the trek over to Aharon Coffee Roasters but they just haven’t reached the requisite level of their craft to be included in the upper echelon. I hope that Bow Truss is just the beginning of what should be a thriving coffee community here in Beverly Hills. The location is not in the hottest area but it shouldn’t be a problem. Inside it’s large enough if somebody wanted to hang out for awhile. I won’t ever have the time to do that but I trust others will. Angela, the manager and her team seem to have a good grasp of what customer service is which is so important. As far as the coffee goes the lattes that I’ve had have been good. They need to get a better dairy products supplier IMO. The richness and creaminess just isn’t quite what it should be. But that’s an easy fix. They’re carrying baked goods from Bread Lounge and to me this shows they did some good research and didn’t skimp. The best thing of all though is how much we like the Burundi Heza beans I picked up the other day. They brew great in our V60 and deliver the super smooth low acidity flavor we love. But be warned, this stuff will keep you up all night:)

Outstanding coffee from an outstanding Chicago roaster in a cute, intimate space– this coffeehouse is more Gastown in Vancouver than Beverly Hills and that’s a good thing. I love that their pourover bar has both V60 and Kalita Wave options.

I ADORETHISPLACE! First, their coffee is AMAZING. Like crack in a cup no lie. I shift between the gibraltor, almond milk latte, or the cold brew. I’m warning you now, their cold brew is NOT for the faint at heart. I had two sips and felt like I was on a rocket ship. I mean that in the best way possible! Also, their pastries? Bomb. Their croissants are MASSIVE and freakin’ delicious. As are their cinnamon rolls. I even enjoy their granola bar. Pricey but worth it! Special shoutout to their staff though. SONICE! I always have A TON of questions about their coffee and they’re all so informed about everything! Makes this place that much better. Highly, highly recommend! Def my fav coffee shop in LA. Strongest coffee in town, that’s for sure!

Amazing little coffee spot in Beverly Hills! I drove around and missed this place as it is so tiny! Since I live just a few blocks away, I decided to just walk to ensure I could find it(it’s on Camden close to Wilshire). The storefront probably isn’t any more than 10 feet and I’m guessing the inside cannot hold more than 10 people. When I visited(3pm on a Monday that’s a holiday), there were only two other patrons so it was a breeze. Since it was scorching yesterday, I ordered a 16 oz iced almond milk latte. Omg, this was the best coffee I have tasted in a long time. The coffee was sweet and smokey(not in an artificial way but you could tell it was roasted properly) without that sour/acidic taste that I have been noticing at some of the other snobby coffee places(Blue Bottle, Stumptown, Verve). I mean, this was coffee I could truly enjoy all day, every day. The price might be a little higher than your typical coffee spot(my drink was about $ 6) but is super worth it for a once in a while treat.

Well, I revisited with a friend. Although my latte was quite good, this Bow Truss location is pretty unexciting. Granted it’s a super small space and probably geared towards local office workers… but the space is pretty ugly. Looking at their other locations, this seems so different. The only thing I like is the wood bench out front. It’s cluttered and ugly behind the counter and looks like a place that would be called«The Office Grind» or something. If you like the aesthetics of places like Blue Bottle or Intelligentsia, this is not that. Will do in a pinch, though.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would!!! I am a coffee snob and working in Beverly Hills has been a struggle without good coffee nearby… I come by everyday and the coffee is always amazing and the baristas are always so kind. Much love for this coffee shop!

Extremely small space but an excellent vibe being conveyed at Bow Truss. Arguably the best cup of coffee you are going to get around Beverly Hills, I went all the way over from the Westside just to see if Bow Truss was as good as it is back in Chicago. Had a cappuccino, could have been slightly hotter but the coffee was good enough that it didn’t matter.

I just moved to LA from Chicago, and was obviously beyond excited when I heard that Bow Truss had opened not only in LA, but 2 blocks away from my new job! A good cup of coffee has always been hard to come by in BH(worked in the area in the past), so Bow Truss fills a HUGE void in the area. Their roasts and drinks are excellent. As well, their baristas are exceptional and make you feel welcome. If you’re in a hurray, I can vouch for the quality of the drip. For the several times I’ve been here and in too much of a crunch to get a pour over, their drip has been excellent — something that cannot be said of other places including quality roasters. I have yet to try the espresso shots or drinks, but I’m assuming that they’re of equal quality. I used to frequent their shop in Lakeview(Chicago), and am so excited for the company and employees! These peeps take great pride in their profession!

Cute new place right across from WMEHQ and the BH Equinox. Their cold brew is fantastic. It has lots of fruity notes and goes down smoothly. Beverly Hills has a dearth of quality coffee options, so this a welcome addition. The place is small, but there is wifi and a few places to sit. Baristas are very friendly AND knowledgable without an ounce of pretentiousness. I didn’t get any pastries, but I was told they are from Bread Lounge in the Arts District. Having had them before, they are top notch. Also, the croissant is probably the size of a child’s head or something like that. Well done! I’ll always stop by whenever I’m in the neighborhood.

If anyone can get your funk to go away it’s Bowtruss. Hailing from the dark and windy depths that is Chicago, Bowtruss serves high quality coffee drinks for a busy person’s daily respite and a weekender’s pause for refreshment. This is a small nook serving artisanal coffee– efficiently. That’s all we want right? They have some very good quality(and huge) croissants and pastries. I hear they have some really special French pastries coming to their store soon too, can’t wait.
