I would say 2.5 is appropriate. Meal was nothing special, you can get a greasy breakfast like this at any small diner across the country. Plus they apparently round up here :) our bill was 24 and change, I have them 40 and got 15.00 back. My first and last visit.

Had a fabulous lunch and breakfast at this place. Fast, friendly service. Wonderful selection. Now serving fresh doughnuts(better than any other doughnut I have had). Highly recommended — great for kids. Better than all the other restaurants on the mountain.

We were heading home from a great long weekend skiing at Sunday River and stopped in here for breakfast. Everything was SO good. My kids had breakfast sandwiches with English muffins which they declared«best breakfast ever», I had eggs Bennie and it was awesome. Husband who is super picky raved about the breakfast skillet. Service was fast and ridiculously friendly. We are even picking up some freshly made in house donuts to bring home. They look amazing!

The beer and drinks are great. The good not so good. I got sick when I ate there on Sunday. I would say it was possible it was not due to the meal but the other person in our party that had the pasta with lobster was also sick. The atmosphere was ok lots of TV’s on bar side and a pool table on restaurant side. The seating was not comfortable. The service was slow.

Really liked this place. Good ambiance with open eating area, brand new décor, and fireplace. Really glad I didn’t have to sit at the long tables with benches — after a long day of snowboarding I needed a seat with a back! Beer — very good and very good variety. And they don’t just stock their own. Food — very good variety and taste. Main courses and appetizers all good flavor and well made. All came out hot and timely. My kids loved the twisty fries. Brewhouse salad great. Against my diet I went with the ‘cheese’ meal — flatbread w/mozzarella and Sicilian pizza. Loved it! I am very happy we picked this spot and made a reservation on a Saturday night — it was busy. We received excellent service despite the place being packed. Easy parking /easy-in /easy-out — our table was ready when we arrived. I would do it again in a heartbeat! Recommended for a nice, fun, casual meal if you’re visiting Sunday River area.

Great food and great beer! I was very impressed compared to a time I went here years before. Totally cool that they have the Crowler now too! Much better way to transport brew back with me.

I ate here twice during my most recent trip to Bethel/Newry Maine and Sunday River Mountain and I would recommend it to anyone traveling through the area. We enjoyed everything about it — food, beer, staff, interior, and even music(we asked for the Pandora playlist name and are still listening to it.) Almost went back for breakfast on our checkout day, but decided to hit the road early instead. With brewing company in its name, I was happy to taste a few of the standout selections on the list. The Mountain Momma was the crowd favorite, but be sure to ask if there are any special beers currently brewed not on the list. If you don’t know the types of beer you like, then go for the flight, otherwise, you’ll find a pint you’ll like after reading the descriptions. The menu looks like its standard pub food, but when receiving our plates we were all pleasantly surprised. The burgers were delicious, the pizza was cooked just right with plenty of toppings and the lobster roll was busting over the bun with lobster bits.

We went here for break fast. I got chocolate chip pancakes. They were delicious. This is a very nice breakfast place. It was on the slower end but. Over all it was great.

There is definite improvement following the change in ownership. The food is pub fare quality, not great, not terrible. Weekend service was quick, our weekday experience was pretty slow. The wings are pretty good and the chocolate lava cake is excellent. Pool tables provide entertainment for the kids. Hopefully they’ll take the silly tv fireplace out of their real fireplace soon. I loved getting a table near the warm fireplace last year. Lots of space on the restaurant side so it doesn’t feel crowded. My daughter loves the sugar scrub in the bathrooms(available for purchase if you love it). Nothing spectacular but ok for a reasonably priced meal.

We stopped in for a quick bite and drink on a Monday afternoon. We were on vacation, don’t judge. It’s very spacious inside with a good-sized bar. We decided to sit at the bar. My husband had a flight of all the beers and enjoyed every one except the IPA. I asked for a cocktail list, which they don’t have. I went with a Cosmo and it was one of the worst I’ve ever had. Way too much lime and not much alcohol. We ordered the flatbread, which really isn’t a flatbread, bit more of stuffed cheesy garlic bread. No matter what it’s called, it was tasty and hit the spot. Service wasn’t the best. Our food was slow to come out and the bartender was definitely inattentive. She definitely gave some regulars better service than us, taking their food and drink orders when they came in long after us when we had been waiting for her for a while. There isn’t much in the area and it’s adequate if you are staying around here, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit again.

Service was lovely! The lobster mac&cheese was really good, and I would get it again. Also the Bison Burger.

Four of us went on a Sunday night. There seemed to be a lot of cars in the parking lot but the restaurant was not busy at all. Our waiter was not one to hang around and chat. He was all business. We had questions about the menu but he turned and walked away, like he didn’t hear us. I should mention we are big time beer geeks as well. My party all ordered the Alt and I had the Stout. The Stout was good, brewed exactly to style. Would drink again. There were no complaints about the Alt’s either. Three of us ordered Pizza and one ordered a sandwich, don’t remember which one. The pizza’s were excellent, cooked perfectly. The sandwich was done well also according to my friend. My complaints? It’s good to have a tight menu, but this was a bit too tight. Pizza, burgers and a couple of others. I dunno, I wanted something else but, the pizza worked out well. The waiter was the main complaint. It was almost as if we were an annoyance to him. We waited for 20 minutes for him to appear with our check but… had to resort to asking a waitress to find our waiter. He appeared 2 minutes later with our check. If the service was better and the menu a tiny bit bigger, this would get 5 stars.

The space they have doesn’t seem to reflect the amount of diners they can handle. I was there in the off season but on a big weekend(the Tough Mountain Race) and it almost seemed as though they had no idea this event was happening and that there would be an influx of customers. Being that the race is less than a mile away and in it’s 3rd year, and having worked in restaurants on and off for 20 years, I found that difficult to understand how they would not be prepared. Aside from the disorganized but polite service, the food was unbelievably slow coming out, they had lots of excuses as to why but, it’s year 3, bring in a few extra folks for the weekend or don’t seat as many people. the date for next year is already out, hopefully it’s circled in red on the calendar. The food wasn’t anything to write home about but was better than on the mountain. The beer? The beer was it’s saving grace, the Sunday River Alt was one of the best beers I’ve had in a long time, kudos to the brew team for that! On the first night I sat out on the deck and had a few beers with friends and that was a blast, stop in and try some of their brews, you won’t be disappointed.

The waitress was friendly. Good chili nachos, great(but a bit greasy) pizza. Burgers are good. We didn’t drink the beer so I can’t review that. The brewery is one if the better places to eat in Bethel, ME.

SRB is a great hangout right at the base of the road that leads up to Sunday River. I can imagine it gets crazy during the ski season but I visited on a warm sunny evening during the New England Forest Rally. First off, our server made our evening. Stephanie, if that is her real name(inside joke), was hilarious but also super efficient. The beer was great(cheers to Stew the brewer who, coincidentally, sold me a mountain bike earlier in the day)! I ordered the Mountain Momma but they were out so I got something else super hoppy — I can’t remember the name but it was delicious. I also tried the Redstone which I liked even better. My friends all seemed to love the Alt which had a chocolately, malty finish — very nice. The menu is limited but it includes the brew pub essentials: pizza, burgers and nachos. What else do you really need after 8 hours on the mountain skiing or playing Rally? My burger was cooked perfectly and my sweet potato fries really hit the spot. We sat inside near the big bar but the outside seating is lovely. Prices are super reasonable, parking is copious and it seems like they’re always open so whenever the mood strikes you, head to Sunday River Brewery!

Had the lunch special 3 mini burgers with sweet potato fries and a draft wheat beer. It was good and filling. The only down side was that there is no military discount. So keep that in mind service members!

I liked this place so much that recently I visited twice in the same ski trip to Sunday River. The only reason why I didn’t give it five stars is that we never sat in the dining room area. Both visits were at the bar… Its a brewery! Where else would I sit? I will be back! Cool bartenders who get to you when you need them but don’t ask«if you want anything» every five seconds, or «is everything okay?»…that drives me NUTS!(Go away let me eat/drink/talk with who I came with). The beer was darn good. Had a nice robust porter, a smooth cherry wheat lager, and a nice pilsner. The«quattro sliders» of Pulled Pork, Beef Brisket, Ground Beef and LOBSTER were perfect and juicy… all four! I was most surprised how good the Lobster slider was… but it’s Maine, so I guess i shouldn’t be that surprised right? The second night was just a return trip for beers. Again… not disappointed. Additionally my friends and I shared a peach cobbler. That was also excellent and home made tasting. Go check it out!!!

4 stars for brew pub with good beer, good svs, and brew pub food. Svs was excellent and beer good. This gets the 4 stars for execution to the theme. We had a party of 9 at peak time… Svs was good and very timely. Nice job!

We are here Christmas Eve. The waitress was cheery, attentive and gracious– especially since she was having to wait in us in Christmas Eve. Their Pub salad with spinach and kale is amazing. The chili, burgers, French onion soup and onion rings my family had were also awesome. The food was so good we went back tonight(two nights later) the service was atrocious(it was a different waitress, but the waitress from Christmas Eve stopped by and said hello and asked after our holiday !!!) the burgers came out burnt, the waitress forgot our drink orders and my daughters French onion soup. We had to ask for them several times. We finally gave up in the soup and left. I guess it is a crap shoot! Will it be great or atrocious! Too bad.
