Thankfully this place has gone out of business. Carla was supposed to know how to cook Italian dishes because of her ex husband. The burger was good, the Italian food SUCKED! Went twice, the 2nd time was for Italian and it was nasty and that is why we never came back. The owner/​chef spent most days sitting outside smoking. If you are chef, DO NOT SMOKE IT KILLS YOUR TASTE BUDS AND YOU CANNOT TASTE HOW BAD YOUR FOOD IS!

A great spot for a couple hot dogs and fries, have yet to try other menu items, except a soaker which was excellent, gets me excited for a beef sandwich, which I will without a doubt be trying.

Carla’s has fantastic pizza. What makes their pizza great is the texture of their crust and the sauce has the perfect amount of sweetness to it. The staff is friendly and their take out order times are pretty quick. I ordered a medium pizza and they accidentally gave me a small. When I called and brought it to their attention, they had another pizza firing up in the oven ready for me in 20 minutes (no questions asked!). Luckily, I live right across the street from this place! Anytime my girlfriend and I have guest over, we order pizza from this place. Highly recommended!

Ew. This place is gross! i wish i would of had a better experience like these other reviews. I ordered a slice of pizza and it tool about 20 Min. When i got it the cheese was barley melted and white. The crust tasted like frozen pizza cheap at that. Sausage was shitty. This place wont last

We recently moved to berwyn and have been looking for our new favorite pizza place. After trying many different local places we stumbled upon Carla’s on grub hub (via Unilocal). I have yet to eat in the restaurant but the take out is fast and delicious. They are always consistent! Our favorite pizza is the Carla special, I believe it has garlic, giardinera, onion, cheese, and pepperoni. I’m looking forward to dining in next time I’m craving pizza!

Awesome place, the food there is great and the environment is also pretty good. The ppl there are nice and there pizza is awesome. I give it 5 stars. Only thing I would suggest is for them to have more of a verity of beer, but really everything is great there.

Good food and huge portions! I ordered the Greek chicken and lemon pepper potatoes. I had enough food for two days. I always get delivery from here. It takes does take a bit for delivery so place your order early. The Caesar salad is good and also huge. I also like the soups. You must try this place.

Adequate. Nothing Special. Typical Burger/​Pizza place. Food looks better than it taste. Burger was alright, would be better if it wasn’t a «char-​burger.» AKA burned and over cooked piece of beef that could have been a good burger had it any pink inside. Pizza has a good initial taste but leaves a weird and gross bitter aftertaste.
Location and parking suck. With it located so near the tracks, it can be hard to find a spot to park. This can be discouraging and has in fact sent me looking for food elsewhere previously.
Still a few things on the menu I still wish to try, so I’ll give this place another chance, but so far, I’m not writing home about this place.

This recently opened neighborhood gem is just that! We’re so happy to have Carla’s Place around the corner from our place. The food is good, plentiful and reasonably priced.
We’ve had the chicken and eggplant parm dishes — yum! The minestrone soup was a welcome surprise. Most of the time restaurant soups are a let down — not this. The pasta is cooked well — not mushy or too al dente.
They’ve had booths at a couple of the Berwyn street festivals and have gotten grilled steak and pork chop sandwiches that are damn good!
We still have to try the pizza and more of their entrée dishes. We’ll be heading back soon. Definitely need to keep it in regular rotation for neighborhood dining options.

Needed a quick meal — NOT McDonalds — and kids loved Carla’s pizza and cheeseburger and mommy got a nice glass of wine while they ate and watched Jurassic Park on the HD on the wall. Carla is a really nice woman and very professional business owner… and boy can she cook. Food is not overly greasy like other local establishments. Very friendly atmosphere. A must eat in the depot district!

So I was looking for a restaurant to go to with the kids in Berwyn would like to stay in my hometown. So this place was recommended to me by a friend. It was so good the Italian beef taste better than Portillo’s in my opinion. The pizza taste just as good if not better than Al’s restaurant. You really have to come and check this place out. I also got the fries because I’m a fry junkie absolutely good totally recommend it. Finally found a place to go with the kids in my neighborhood. The people there were very good very nice clean. They talk to us like they knew us made me feel extremely welcomed. I love this place got to go again.

Amazing food… We have had several of the menu items, and they have all been wonderful… and the portions… woah!!! I had dinner, and lunch for 3 days… and is was still fabulous
We have had: bruschetta, beef bowl, paninis, pasta arrabiata, chicken parm…

Quick delivery. Ordered the fried pickles and mozzarella, tomato, basil panini. All delicious, a little on the greasy side, but hey that’s why I ordered take out. Looking forward to trying some other things on the menu. It was nice to see more than one option with no meat in it, too!
