Yummy! Consistent warm and friendly service and quality of food keep us coming back. Server recommend wasabi rice pizza which is amazing! We order it every time we dine here. We prefer the back of the restaurant it’s quieter and reservations are a must for Fri./Sat. nights. Our kids, under 13 yrs. devour the pasta dishes; we don’t usually bother w/the kids menu here because they love the fresh pasta choices. BYOB

Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Fried calamari, Zuppa depesce and Bistro Rigatoni were all excellent. Serving size just a tad small but you won’t overeat. A bit noisy as they didn’t put any sound absorbers on the walls. But overall very good.

My first experience here was VERY average; my second(and last) experience was not even mediocre. Had the Burrata appetizer to begin. Shoprite sells better burrata for $ 4.99, and it was the only thing on my plate besides a few micro greens! Just a hunk of mozzarella cheese with NOTHINGELSE! Seriously. Main course was rabbit with pappardelle pasta. The rabbit was WAY over cooked, and the pasta was stuck together. This meal was SO dry that I had to forgo any grated cheese for the pasta for fear of making it completely inedible. Service was decent, but it was one of those experiences where you regret having dined out because you could have EASILY cooked a MUCH better meal at home.

We went with high expectations for Good, not superb. We arrived for the 6:30 seating and were promptly and graciously seated. We ordered the Crab Stack appetizer which was avocado mousse and lump crab meat. The mousse was flavorless and the crab soggy and tasteless. The special soup of the day was green lentil, served luke warm, but satisfactory. The filet mignon from the menu was served with three asparagus spears, two pearl onions and a one inch square of polenta. The filet looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for some time, but once I asked and received additional sauce it was cooked as ordered and satisfactory. We ordered the short rib bolognese, a signature dish and were served the rabbit pappardelle in error. After a few bites it was clear it was not the short ribs dish and we sent it back and appropriately were not charged. They offered to replace the entrée with the short ribs but we declined. We had an awful Almond Praline desert that was beyond disappointing. The place has too many tables and was extremely crowded and noisy. Apparently they have two seatings, one at 6:30 and one at 8:30. The hostess personally brought the check at 8 o’clock to usher us on our way. The other couple that joined us had similar opinion as to the food and we agreed we would not be returning.

Not worth it! Gave this place a second chance a year after an awful meal with bad service. Still a bad experience and the only good thing is it’s BYO& the wait staff was professional. Second and last time we ever go. Mushroom caps were cold — sent back to heat up…(dangerous move) seafood risotto was undercooked with crunchy rice. Short rib was over sauced and still dry. We were not offered the dessert specials or coffee as the table next to us was. Not worth the money $ 85 for 2 apps and 2 meals. What they spent on a new building paint job and interior updates should have been spent on improving the food and chef staff which was very obviously not done. Morini BYFAR tops the Italian food and seafood in town.

Very nice atmosphere, nice selection of dishes. The Caesar salad is supposedly from scratch, but I couldn’t detect any anchovies, not much garlic. Great cheese shavings on it though. The butter they have for the bread is wonderful, as is the variety of bread served. Had the seafood risotto– very nice, with ample squid, mussels, clams, shrimp. Would come back to try some other dishes.

Ate here last night for the first time and loved it! Ordered the Coq au Vin(delicious!) and pulled chicken linguine(very good). It was crowded, but that’s to be expected on a Friday. The only thing that we didn’t love was the chocolate lava cake — it was fine, but not outstanding. We’d probably go for an appetizer instead and not try to save room for dessert.

Gotta agree with all the high ratings for food. And it’s very tough to find food this good in a BYO restaurant. Only neg, our waiter was on the imperious and snooty side. Got the job done but didn’t smile once and made it clear he was not pleased when the four of us were not instantly ready to order. Not a big deal, didn’t ruin the meal, but it was noticeable — didn’t match the high standard the food hit. But with a more congenial server, this place really would be perfect. Don’t let the exterior fool you.

Simply put… Perfect! Service, food and environment were far greater than I expected. Just as I was about to turn around and go else where; a server came out and convinced me and my family in. This place is 2 hours from our home and we are already on planning on coming back. Not as inexpensive as noted. We spent $ 400 for 2 adults and 3 children. But well worth it! Love, love, love…

We tried this place for the first time and can’t wait to return! Great ambiance, very attentive wait staff and the food was DELICIOUS! And as a bonus, it’s BYO! We all tried different apps, salads and entrees, with each of us tasting a little of everything. Scrumptious! And the Tiramisu is to die for. A must to dine here.

I would have loved to give this a higher rating but I just can’t. As a waitress, I know the importance of good service. My first problem is that it took about 35 minutes for our appetizer to arrive. It was delicious, but the long wait was unnecessary. Secondly, for entrees my boyfriend and I both ordered salads — the fastest thing to make. His was supposed to have medium-rare steak, instead it was medium-well. He was too nice to send it back so he didn’t say anything. However, I had ordered a salad from the specials — golden beets, hazelnuts, and goat cheese. My salad was not what I ordered and instead was iceburg lettuce, pickled onions, and blue cheese — not even close. I called over another server and sent it back. Shortly afterwards, my server came back and said that they had run out of golden beets. THISISNOTHOWYOURUN A RESTAURANT. If you run out of something, you come to the table, explain, and ask if you can make a substitution or if I would like to order something else instead. You DONOT simply give me a random item that I didn’t order at your own discretion. This is what upset me the most. By the time my salad arrived my boyfriend was already done eating. Overall it took two hours for us to get an appetizer and two salads. On top of that, we had to wait quite a long time for the check even though there were few tables left at the restaurant. Given the mishap, a manager or owner should have come over to speak to me. You don’t have to offer anything for free but even a simple apology would have made me want to come back. At this point, I don’t plan to go back. Even though the food was good, the service was despicable.

I was a bit hesitant to go here because the property is not that great and the restaurant sits on a main road, however the food and service are EXCELLENT. We had the goat cheese and onion tart and baby spinach salad, which they split for us at no cost. My wife ordered the shrimp and linguini and I ordered the braised short ribs which were perfect. Nice touches throughout like warm bread, regular water refills, cookies with coffee and aperitifs, all at no additional cost. This is also a BYOB. Parking in the rear. Enjoy!

Very good food and terrific service/hospitality. I love a restaurant where the staff is glad to have there and. Knows what to do about it. The menu seems an italian mediterranean fusion and all dishes were successes.

Got there on a Saturday night, waiting area packed with unhappy people waiting, Had 8:15 reservation, owner told us our table was paying the check, and then after 30 min gave the table to a different seating. Lied to my face. I can deal with waiting, but not lying. Good bye, never again.

I would really like to give this place a higher mark. Our first visit to Bistro Seven Three was a great experience, but the most recent trip was an overall fail. Me and my now husband found this place through Unilocal, just randomly searching for venues that could hold our wedding rehearsal dinner. We were happy to find out that this place is actually a BYO. It worked perfectly for us since my husband’s family makes their own wine. There were 12 of us in total for the rehearsal dinner. Food arrived at the right time and it was just delicious(we picked salmon with risotto and chicken saltimbocca). We got tiramisu for dessert and it turned out to be one of the best ones we had! We left that night thinking we will be have to return to try some of the other options on their menu. We went back on the New Year’s Eve night and I guess that was a mistake. We got a table for 5:30PM and the restaurant started filling up around 6:00PM. Somehow, they managed to get us out in under an hour. We hoped for a nice romantic meal, a first dinner out as a married couple. What we got was rushed service and mediocre quality food. It was like a completely different restaurant compared to our rehearsal dinner! All of the waiting staff were very friendly, but I heard them push that night’s specials just a little bit too hard. We actually ordered one of their specials — a bone in veal parm with rigatoni. Sadly, it was a massive disappointment at $ 37 a plate. What we got looked like yesterday’s dinner reheated in a microwave, it lacked any flavour. My mushroom risotto was overcooked and terribly bland. Annoyingly, our water glasses were being topped up after pretty much every sip which meant we had a waiter reaching out across our table every few minutes. Half way through our dinner I stopped drinking the water just to avoid it. At this point I am sightly confused and unsure what to make of this place. The food can be good, but lacks consistency. I come from Europe and getting rid of the customers in an hour during a dinner sitting is a big no-no; outside of the food you also pay for the experience. Also, to the management — please allow the waiting staff to relax a little; I don’t know many people that enjoy a pestering waiter during a romantic night out.

My first time at Bistro Seven Three(BYOB) was on Friday, December 19 for my department’s Christmas luncheon. We are a department of 22 or so and were well accommodated. We more or less had the whole front part of the room to ourselves. One of the management staff ordered appetizers for the tables. We had eggplant(not a fan of eggplant unless it’s grilled so I didn’t try that), Ahi Tuna Bruschetta(not a fan of sushi so I didn’t try that), Fried Calamari, and Fresh Tomato and Mozzarella. The calamari was perfectly cooked. It wasn’t soggy and the breading color wasn’t light. It was very tasty. Even the bread on the table was fresh and soft and the butter was good too. I ordered the pasta special with Fettuccini, sun-dried tomatoes, porcini mushrooms in a port wine cream sauce. I am by far NOT a fan of cream sauces but I figured let me try it because it’s something I never get. While I felt there was a little too much cream sauce poured on, it was very good. I only ate half and brought the rest home. It tasted even better left over and less heavy. For dessert I had this fabulous pistachio tartufo in a chocolate shell cut in quarters with whip cream in the middle. OMG so good but I couldn’t finish it. Too bad I live so far away or I would go back on the weekend. I definitely recommend this establishment.

3.75 stars Ate here to celebrate my husband’s birthday since the café was closed. It was quite packed for a Sunday night, but we didn’t wait too long for a table. This is a nice, intimate, restaurant. My husband ordered calamari and their bolognese while I ordered the warm goat cheese and caramelized onion tart with chopped salad. We were given a bowl of fresh bread and butter to start. Our food took a long time to arrive, but it was busy so I understand. Presentation of the dishes was sweet and I enjoyed my tart though it was very onion-y! For dessert we ordered their Tira Misu… vanilla, mascarpone, cocoa, and lavazza savoiardi… Freaking delectable!!! And to end our dinner, we were given 2 small chocolate chip cookies with a small shot of lemon cello. My husband ate most of my cookie though! I wouldn’t mind returning to this restaurant again. I think the staff and atmosphere make this a great place to catch up with friends, date night, or celebrate any occasion. Make sure you BYOB!

I went here yesterday for lunch, and everything was so tasty! I got a the blackened tilapia special with some nice vegetables on the side. The fish itself had a nice, spicy taste to it. Really loved the dish. My boyfriend got the crab cake and avocado sandwich, which I tasted and loved. The atmosphere was good and the price was pretty reasonable too! They don’t have a liquor license so byob.

Despite some strange music we loved Bistro seven three for lunch. It’s a great value midday, most sandwiches are just $ 10 and come with either fries or salad. Casual during the day, no white tablecloths etc. Service was pretty good too, our food came out fairly quickly and our server was friendly. Bread arrives with huge slabs of sweet butter, includes multi-grain, white and dinner rolls. Started with classic onion soup which was properly baked shut with melted cheese but the broth was pretty ordinary, a tad spendy at $ 7. I ordered the sausage & peppers panini which was outstanding and cheap at $ 10, sausages were split lengthwise, red and yellow peppers in a red sauce, all on nicely crispy roll; only tiny complaint was that there was no spice to the sauce. We all ordered french fries and they were utterly perfect crispy hot sticks of potato love, like Belgian fries with that crackly crust on them, came with a ramekin of ketchup. Just make sure you get something with the chipotle sauce on it or ask for that instead of ketchup with your fries, it’s that good! I was surprised to see how few people were in for lunch, just a few tables and this isn’t a small place. Food was so yummy it made us think about coming for dinner. Located right across from Sussex feed & grain, you can park in the train station lot. BYO. Yes, even at lunch :)
