Son Cabinetry & Design

Working with Son Cabinetry on my kitchen has been a fantastic experience. I previously worked for a high end cabinetry company in the Bay Area so my expectations are quite high. I was very specific on some unusual custom details such as flush routed tab pulls, floating shelves, recessed lighting, specific counter profiles, etc, and Son’s 100% delivered.
I worked with a skilled designer at Son’s who knew to ask all the right questions, make recommendations; was extremely detail oriented and ensured that my kitchen was delivered correctly. The quality of my cabinetry is superb, beautifully grain-​matched walnut. Tom installed my kitchen and is the type of installer who takes personal pride in his craftsmanship. –No corners were ever cut, and the details of my kitchen are sharp. I truly couldn’t be happier with the finished product. The outcome is a high-​end custom kitchen when in fact the cost, including counter tops was quite reasonable.
Matt managed this project from the start. I appreciate a owner of a company who is as personally involved in all his projects as Matt is. His communication with me throughout the job was second to none. He always kept me in the loop of the daily process. He provided me with contractors who all did fantastic electrical, plumbing and drywall work preparing for the cabinetry install. The cost that Matt originally quoted, was exactly what I paid and there were never any up-​charges or other costly surprises.
Having a new kitchen installed may be one of the more disruptive and stressful projects that you can do to your home especially if you live in the home during the project, but it is far less painful when you work with a group who personally take pride in their workmanship and work tirelessly to limit the disruption. I am grateful I worked with such a great team at Son’s for my project. I am now looking forward to my bathroom remodels!

We recently used Son Cabinetry for a kitchen reface (new door and drawer fronts). Our kitchen had been recently refinished by another company and was an absolute disaster to say the least. We had seen Son Cabinetry trucks around the valley and decided to give them a call. We really couldn’t be happier. They absolutely fixed our kitchen. Their team is so professional and the owners are 100% hands on. Perfectionists. We have a one year old and wanted to be out of the house while they were sanding, staining and installing. We had a trip planned before deciding to reface and they put a rush on everything to make it happen while we were away. They were in constant contact with us and our house was clean and put together when we got home. Ive already referred a neighbor and we’re planning on using them again for our bathrooms!

In April of this year I purchased a new home and I went shopping for a cabinet to be built for the master bedroom. I shopped around but knew Son Cabinetry & Design was the place for me after speaking to Rosario. I looked at a zillion pictures on Houzz but I’m not a designer and that is where Rosario stepped in and brought what I envisioned to life! Clean, contemporary and elegant. Everything was perfect from beginning to end, everyone was professional and always on time. I highly recommend this business if you appreciate people who value your time, hire staff who are good at what they do and leave a smile on your face at the end of the project. J

Working with Rosario was a pleasure, she really listened and tuned in to what our sense of style is and took it to another level. Both she and Suzette were a big help choosing finishes and design details as well as staying on budget. The counters turned around within a week which was amazing. The installers were professional and polite and kept the dust to a minimum. Tom the project manager responded to phone calls immediately and positively. Definitely recommend this company!

The Owner Matt is a liar! He over promises and way under delivers. Beware! Look elsewhere. I wish I had!

2005 had my kitchen remodeled & designed. I used the tradesmen that Matt (owner of Son Cabinetry) said to use but unfortunately I didn’t pay Matt directly, so Matt assumes NO responsibility for my undercounted sink that was put in but had no bolts to hold the sink up. After several years and Matt’s company coming out to regroup the sink (yet he didn’t charge for this), I finally found out the sink was not installed correctly. I now remember that Matt has a short fuse, so why I tried to reason with him I don’t know why I even tried. I was willing to give him my bathroom remodel at a price tag of $ 10,000 but with his proven unprofessionalism I decided to go in another direction. For a repair of $ 150.00 he lost a $ 10,000 job. I have never dealt with a owner who was so combative and would not accept that his tradesmen suck. He has alienated other tradesmen and now I understand why.
