I love food! I really love Chinese food, and in particular, a buffet! This establishment really impressed me from the start. Upon entering it became very evident that the owners take pride in every aspect of their business. The wonderfully decorated surroundings ensured a great start to the meal. There are many rows of delicious dishes, all freshly prepared, and in abundance. Variety was certainly not lacking! We were greeted by a very friendly waitress who made us all feel at home. I like fried fish in particular and it was cooked to perfection! I tried several other dishes which all were tremendous. I was with a group, it was a meeting for our group with lunch. What a wonderful place to have met. Deserts were equally great. During the course of our stay, the waitress was noted and thanked for being so attentive to our group. We will definitely be back there probably next month for our dinner/meeting. I award this fine establishment 5 golden platters and a big thank you from our group!

I have a four-year old boy, and taking him out to restaurants is usually a lot of trouble. He gets bored waiting for the food, he wants to wander around, etc. Finally we found the ideal restaurant. It’s buffet, so there’s no waiting. It has an insane variety of food, so he has actually discovered things like mussels and steamed shrimp, which he never would have eaten if they came from my kitchen. They have booths that look onto a koi pond so he can watch the fish swim around. AND the ultimate– they have a fish-food dispenser. For a quarter you can get a little handful of fish food to throw to the koi. The restaurant is insanely cheap– all three of us ate for less than we would have at McDonald’s.(I don’t ask questions about where it comes from…) The staff is fine; not friendly, but since it’s a buffet that doesn’t really matter. Maybe it’s not a place I would take a first date, but if you need something quick, hot, and inexpensive, or if you’re dragging a preschooler, this is a great choice.

Why don’t I ever learn? This place was terrible, even by Chinese Buffet standards. $ 13.95 for adults, and 11 year old kids are considered adults even on a Wednesday night. That was a nice surprise since the ages were not posted anywhere and our experience was so horrible. I will begin with the restaurant itself. Tacky Asian décor, AC was set way too warm even for late September. Clouds of steam rose over most tables so abundantly that you could not see the food, perhaps this is intentional??? The steam certainly contributed to the muggy uncomfortable conditions. The place is filthy, dark and smelly, Certainly avoid if you are older or have a compromised immune system. The beverage service is all out in the open, just a bunch of dingy tables with boxes of fountain soda stacked up. No attempt is made to make a nice presentation. I think the owners have already given up on the place? The food was all stale, swimming in oil or syrup and clearly of very poor quality, almost all frozen. I like to take a lot of small samples at a place like this. I try just a little taste of a lot of dishes. I have never been to one of these places where everything I had was so horrible. My daughter found a fly in her soup, we pointed it out to the clueless staff. She took the bowl and said nothing to us, as though it was regular occurrence. I was happy to divert two victims in the parking lot. They mentioned that they had been there once before and it was a bit iffy. After my recount of what happened, they got in their car and went elsewhere. I can only hope the place goes out of business before anyone gets sick. We are new to The area and still looking for a good, clean regular Chinese place, we are 0 for 2 so far.

I’d like to start off by saying that it’ll definitely fill you up. In terms of taste, most of the food is okay, despite being drowned in MSG. The rest falls on the bottom of the spectrum. As far as dessert goes — consider it inedible. But… If you’re hungry and on a budget, this might be the place for you. The price is quite cheap considering the sheer amount of food available. This is Imperial Buffet’s only consolidation, and it becomes quite obvious once you arrive.

Cheap and quick food. One of the best buffets in the area but the service is terrible! Asked the waitress for a refill when there was still a little left in my glass but she refused to fill it until it was empty… Then when I asked for a new fork for my dessert she tried giving me back the fork I used for my meal! Gross. The crab legs are impossible to get because certain selfish individuals will hover over it waiting for them to fill and will take the entire thing for themselves. They should at least limit the amount per plate so more then 2 people can get some at a time.

Worse service ever. The staff is terrible. I rarely write bad reviews because I understand what it’s like to work with mean customers. But, these servers are blatantly rude! They hover around you when you eat like they’re rushing you to finish. The sushi bar was nice when we first went but the man who prepares the sushi always has an attitude! He gives you and annoyed look when you make an order at the sushi bar, he rolls his eyes and sucks his teeth. Totally unprofessional. The place really went downhill. When it first opened it was great but now the floors are sticky and the place just looks dirty, I really don’t see myself ever coming back here again.

People here are really nice. Sometimes they get busy, but they always take care of me. For a restaurant, the most important thing is to understand the costumers. I think they do.

Where do I start? I mean what is better than extremely salty, stale, cold, and old food? The imperial buffet… duh! But seriously, MSG… do you need anymore? The best part of my meal was my soda! My family and I used to come here when I was growing up but times have changed and their food quality certainly has aged as the years passed. My little brother and I threw up on their front door leaving. I’ve had better food served by the Red Cross in a third world nation full of aids and flesh eating bacteria than here…

Even though I gave Imperial Buffet two stars, I was not disappointed. Why? I had my standards set low because of the Unilocal reviews and massive buffets do not always produce the best culinary experiences. The food was satisfied me on a snowy day, but it reminded me of college cafeteria food. I filled my plate with General Tso’s, chicken and broccoli, honey buns, and mac and cheese. The dessert buffet was a little disappointing as they had stale cookies and hard-as-a-rock ice cream cups. I had chocolate pudding, but I wished they had sprinkles(I know first-world problems). Fruit and the uncooked buffet looked foul. There was a sushi bar, but it was not opened and/or there was an extra charge. No matter how bad the weather is, this place is always opened! If you or someone you know has a four or all wheel drive vehicle, then venture out to this place. The service was very friendly as my diet coke was constantly being refilled. However, the bathroom was gross and smelled like urine. The aquarium was weird…

It’s close. It’s cheap. It’s edible. That just about sums up my ringing endorsement for Imperial Buffet. Like most of its kind, it’s got way too much seating for its own good, it’s kinda run down, and it’s over-decorated. Koi ponds, a pagoda right in the middle, weird lighting, etc. Taken together, it’s a rather poor disguise for the passable food, which one should come to expect at a place like this. I like the fried dumplings, the sesame chicken, the onion shrimp, and the sautéed spinach, among other things. There’s also a sushi bar, but the selection is very limited, lest you be subjected to an extra charge. So you’re basically limited to California rolls and similar items which have little or no raw fish in them. So there’s really no point to it; I’d go to a sushi restaurant if I wanted good sushi. $ 9 for lunch, and I think dinner is $ 14. At least the staff is always really nice. Seating you immediately, always refilling your drinks, service with a smile. At least they’re trying their best here.

First off the food is pretty good. The staff is fairly friendly and efficient. What turned me off is on Sundays children get charged the adult price. I was not too pleased with this.

This place is hit or miss. I used to come here a lot because my grandfather loved the place. My recent visit it seemed like the food at been out for awhile. But then at other times you come in and this place is a home run. Good luck

I’ve eaten hear 3 times and every time the crab leg tray is empty with one tentacle leg floating at the bottom. When they FINALLY put a few crab legs in the old people attack the station. They pile on as many legs as they can onto their little plate and within seconds all that is left is that one tentacle leg floating around again. You can ask the lady who scoops out old muck and puts it on top of new muck in the buffet dishes until you’re blue in the face for more crab legs and she just says ok and they don’t come out for hours… I drive past this place at least once a day and never stop. Don’t look behind out back either… Gross stuff comes out of the back door.

My 7-year old wrote a review of her favorite restaurant as an essay at school(I’ve edited for spelling and punctuation, but the content is all hers): Yummy! I love the Imperial Buffet. I have three reasons why I like it in the book. You should go to the Imperial Buffet someday. One reason is that they have good food choices. One of the good foods are Chinese donuts. I like them because they have a lot of sugar. Another reason is that they have pizza. They have small pieces and they are hot. Another reason is that they have dessert. For dessert, they have cookies and ice cream and pudding. The second reason is they have quick service. It does not take long for you to get your drinks. At the front desk there is always someone there to give you a seat. As soon as someone takes your order for drinks you can go up to the buffet and they have foods from two countries. The countries are America and China. The third reason is that it has a nice atmosphere. The seats look like a queen or king throne. Another reason is that the ceiling is pretty. It has stars on it and it looks like outer space. The last reason is the floor is nice. It has really pretty tiles.

Cute little Chinese Buffet. Like all others, their food can be left out a bit and a few times it gave me the runs… Seems like a lot of buffets do this to me so I will try not to let that effect my stars. What will effect them is the price. It cost 2 of us $ 30 for lunch. I know sushi was included, but $ 30 for some flavored chicken and rice?! It was a special treat. They have a nice koi pond in the front and large isles loaded with food. American, Chinese, and sometimes things in between. Desert was always changed up too. The chocolate cake was so rich, I needed an entire glass of water to rinse out the headache. The place was often crowded, but there is so much seating an so many isles you would never notice. Parking lot is huge with a home depot right next door so there was no issue with parking. Staff seemed a little snooty and inattentive at times, but other times they were right there in a jiffy to refill my drink and ask if we needed anything. So customer service is a tweener star. If you don’t mind the price and want to take a chance with the staff and quality of food(how long it has been left out), take a chance and try out the Imperial buffet. Better to make it there on a weekend with a crowd so that the food will be constantly refreshed.

Absolutely one of the worst Chinese buffets I have ever been to. Walked in with high expectations and left with an absolute downed expression on my taste buds. Sanitary is appearently not a word they have heard of leaving oysters on the bar with nothing to keep them cool. Most of the food on the buffet was lukewarm at best and the teriyaki chicken was undercooked The deserts were pre packaged of the quality you would expect to find at a dollar store. My girlfriend and I will not be going back.
