A unique addition to the store next door ‘The Bone Room’. This is their ‘gallery’ where medical specimens and more human bones are put on display alongside old medical equipment, x rays, diagrams, and books! Items are set up in glass cases with proper signage describing what it is and the price. My GF was thrilled to spend some time looking through every little case. A unique East Bay gem I can’t wait to visit again!

For those of you(us!) who love The Bone Room, The Bone Room Presents is a great addition. It is a gallery space with lots of beautiful pieces on display, and for sale… ATGREATPRICES!!! Unlike The Bone Room, which focuses mainly on bones and specimens, BRP carries more medical memorabilia, and fun things for the kitchen, like china with beatles and bugs painted on! Walking in, thee are several books laid out on the table for purchase. I wanted all of them. Shame on me for net getting a photo. Books about medical specimens, sexy bone photos, and lots of neat subject matters, all relating to the odd. Inside the glass cases are lots of different pieces. Scrimshaw, WWII medical objects, vintage hypodermic needles, lots of awesome pieces. I was just taken aback by how beautiful everything is. The space is simple. Not really embellished. They allow the pieces to speak for themselves. They are the focus of the room, as they should be. I cannot wait to go back over and over. I am so glad I was finally able to go. Hope to see you there, fellow weirdo!

Yeah… why are people not reviewing BRP? It’s so lovely. If you love the Bone Room show up for one of the events. I got lucky to watch Ron Cauble’s first talk in this forum, and it was amazing. It’s like«Science Friday» on NPR where you first just want to causally listen to what they are talking about, and before you know it you are absorbed, and walking away with all these ideas. Wonderful place for artists, and dinosaur freaks. As a side note, I don’t believe I missed Ron Pippin when he was there in August. AAAHHHHHHHHHH! I MISSEDRONPIPPIN!!! AAHHHHH!!! So, yeah, check out their«Coming Events», you never know who will show up.

I am surprise that nobody ever have reviewed the«Bone Room Presents». Well. for a starters, its more a gallery specific for those use anthropology and study of bones as a form of art. There is a place for talk, display and adjacent to the actual bone room store. Its a fitting place for experts on animal and human bone study can share slides and maybe even sell sketches. This is a super cool spot and worthy a visit. Support a anthropologist!!! You might be lucky and find doors open, if so, walk in.
