Under new ownership. Stoll continues to be an outstanding custom framing shop. Don’t be fooled by the modest storefront: Saul (the new owner) is a real artist and a real mentch. I came in asking for something that three other places said they couldn’t do and he took it on. «The challenge is half the fun!» he said and figured it out with ingenuity and old hand-​tools that no one uses any more.
His design eye is impeccable.

I have worked with George for many years on many different types of framing projects — family photos, posters, artwork, diplomas — anything that needs framing. In all the years there was one result that I didn’t like, and he immediately reframed it at no charge. He is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a terrific result.
I find him to be knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and extremely professional. I would highly recommend his work to anyone looking for excellent framing.

Our house is now filled with art that has been lovingly framed by George at Stoll Framing. George has spent hours patiently working with me until I have the exact mats and frames that I want. He has very good taste, and is incredibly helpful. I have recommended him to all my friends, and all love the process and the results.
He carries a large and wonderful selection of frames and mats. George goes out of his way to treat the artwork with care and respect. If there is any problem with the finished piece, he is gracious, accommodating and quick in getting it taken care of. Enjoy!

‘i’ve had more than a dozen things framed by George over a couple of decades. Every item still hangs in my home, and I still enjoy each one as I walk by. I find his prices fair, and he is very helpful when I have to choose among myriad styles and colors of matting and frame materials.
I’ve lived in other cities where I’ve had things framed — I never came across anyone as helpful, fair, and pleasant to work with as George. And I’m not related to him ;-)

Stoll has done a very good job framing several pieces for me, but I find it difficult working with the staff/​owner. He tends to push things (colored matting for example) which are not to my liking. Recently when I requested a linen liner, he responded rather curtly, «No one does that anymore.» Well, I’m fairly secure in my taste and I do like linen liners … particularly with 19th century oil paintings. When I insisted that I did indeed want the liner, he continued to resist. For these reasons I’ve found it necessary to go elsewhere to more easily get what I want and feel appreciated as a customer.

The friendly owner of Stoll provided very professional work at a good price. One of the certificates I brought in to be re-​framed required new matting which I was not aware of when I brought it in. George replaced all of the matting (at no extra charge) and matched our other framed documents perfectly.
I would definitely come back here for professional framing needs!
The frames were even completed a couple days earlier than he promised!
