Magdalena is not just an excellent Pilates instructor, she’s full of anatomical know-how. I go to one of her classes at Innerstellar that now consists of so many of her dedicated followers that we can work stronger and harder than in other Pilates mat classes I’ve been to. Now that I’ve taken Pilates mat classes from at least 5 other teachers in as many locations, I can say that Magdalena’s class is my favorite. When I’m in other classes, I miss the anatomy/physiology input and the personal attention. When I first began, i was weak and wobbly. Now my core is so much stronger that I feel how it’s changed my gait and posture, and relieved hip tension. Magdalena is great because her style is warm and fun, but she gives you the meat of the techniques and constantly challenges you. She’s super attentive to going around the room making small adjustments that change so much. But she’s equally skilled at giving options that accommodate injuries or chronic conditions or pregnancy. And all the while, she explains«this is what happens when you walk» or «this helps release the fascia» or «this trains your muscles that hold you upright». The explanation helps me understand more deeply what I’m supposed to be doing. Great teacher, great class!
