What a blessing it is to live in a city with so much accessible green space! I was fortunate to live near this particular space for a few years and enjoyed it as much as possible. PROS –If you enjoy being outside, taking long walks, picnicking, biking, spending time with friends and family… well, then this is the place for you. You could even get married here! No, really, we just attended a wedding at Music Mound. It was truly enchanting –For those that like to walk, bike, or run, there are plenty of paths available to you –So much scenery! Take in the beauty of nature –All Metroparks are well maintained — little vandalism and garbage CONS –Sometimes if you are trying to meet in a more remote location of the Metroparks, it is hard to find, but Google Maps has surprised me on more than one occasion. BOTTOMLINE Go out and get some fresh air!

In Northeastern Ohio we are blessed to have the Cleveland Metroparks. A large park system like this is not available everywhere.(Trust me, I’ve lived other places and desperately missed the Metroparks.) There are a wide variety of trails and paths available. I like to run and bike so I love the long 26 mile path that I can hop on & go go go! The parks are well taken care of and generally clean. Often if you’re out in the morning you’ll see the Metroparks crew out emptying trash cans or mowing. If I have one complaint that would be that I’d like to see more park rangers visible. I’d love more PSA re: safety, sharing the path, bike-helmet safety etc. Overall I don’t think we Ohioans can go wrong with this gem of a park system! YAYCLE Metroparks!
