The atmosphere was beaming with love that was radiating off of every satisfied customer and every jolly employee. There was a plethora of bagging options and they were more than accommodating when we decided to go with no bag at all. However I have one complaint. Their bouncy ball machine was inadequate and should not be trusted.

If I had the money and the time, I would hire an attorney and sue this store for the time and energy wasted after buying paint and supplies to repaint my mother’s small office.
We spoke with Wayne, a young man who was probably summer help. I think the store thought he was qualified because he could type in a paint code on their computer program, answer a few basic questions and have a label print out for custom paint colors. I don’t need someone to be overly friendly or have an amazing personality/​attitude, but to say he was indifferent and lacked energy or the ability to be helpful would be an understatement. With any question I offered, he simply picked up the can and began reading. with four. separate. questions. I specifically told him we were painting over a wall already covered in primer, and painting the ceiling one color and the walls another, complimentary color. I asked if one pint would cover a 9′ x 12′ area and he looked as though he had never been asked this before. The label on the TrueValue paint can stated it would cover 250 – 400 square feet, and since we were about 110 square feet, I bought one pint. My biggest fear is clearly not of spending too much money, but buying too much paint that will only be wasted.
I painted the ceiling edging twice (along with one ceiling fan and a smoke detector) and was only able to cover ¾ of the ceiling before I ran out. After the paint dried, I could easily see that I would have to paint it again as it didn’t cover without light spots showing through.
We went back to the store and spoke with Rita who was very understanding of our predicament. She determined that we had the wrong paint (we should have purchased ceiling paint), and offered to give us the correct paint. Since we were already down the road with the first paint, I thought we should just stick with the same paint to avoid a mis-​match, so she gave us this second pint for free for our troubles.
I came back home, painted the rest of the ceiling only to find that it was SLIGHTLY OFF COLOR! OMFG, If I could give negative stars, I would. This is precisely the kind of nightmare YOU don’t want when you go into a store to spend $ 100+ in paint and accessories only to find it’s wrong and must be done over again. I don’t have the time nor the energy to repaint the ceiling, so we’re going to leave it… with off-​colored edging and poor coverage throughout.
The only way I would change this review is to have the store inspect the paint, provide us with the proper paint and a professional painter to do it over again for us without charge.
PS: I won’t hold my breath…

Nice, clean, and large grocery store with wide aisles (under the same roof as a hardware and Ben Franklin five-​and-​dime store).
They have a full selection of grocery items and seem to carry a lot of local (northern Michigan) items. It’s the place we go when we’re staying in the area for a few days and plan to cook breakfasts while we’re there. And, as Chelsea already noted, they have a nice selection of local wines-​so it’s often my last stop before heading home to stock up on some of my favorite Michigan wines.
I do miss the old-​school Ben Franklin that used to be here for years, but the Ben’s here sometimes has some fun stuff in it’s aisles (lots of fun craft supplies especially).

My family has dubbed this place «Spend Alot». Most items at this store cost considerably more then say Meijer but they do have a decent selection. They have a ton of beer in their beer cooler and quite a few local wines. Overall its an ok place to shop.
