I never would have believed that I could be impressed with a fast food restaurant and the employees on the midnight shift. Over the last two years, my job schedule requires me to work until around midnight most nights. By the time I leave work, I need a quick, convenient meal. My experience during this time has taught me to expect poor service and sub-par food quality as the norm, regardless of the food chain or location. I came to believe that the most I could hope for in these meals was that they were safe for consumption. Then I found the Taco Bell on York Rd. in Bensenville. Not only does the quality of food here on the night shift exceed that of most chains at any time of day, but the employees are also consistently lively and very engaging. They even include a mint and a wet nap. Most nights, the associate working the window has been Corey. He appears to really like his job. He makes me feel welcome by doing things like remembering the kinds of sauces I prefer. I have been in retail management for 15 years, including fast food. I know that Corey is a great example of going above and beyond expectations, no matter your job or your shift. Thank you for making my midnight dinners enjoyable again! I’ll let people know there is hope for a good experience in fast food.

I like the chulpa and steak quesadillas. Though it get bland after awhile and drinks and other stuff on the menu like desserts are pricy and not good at all.

It is now a combo store with Long John Silvers, which is worth an extra star alone. It’s Taco friggen Bell, everybody knows what to expect.
