Visited for the first time for a Bennington Young Professionals mixer. I can’t speak for the whole experience(bedrooms), but the cocktails are fantastic and so is the atmosphere. Great little semi-private sitting rooms and an extensive an unique cocktail list. I tried the Catamount which was the perfect fall cocktail. Not to be missed.

This is one of my favorite places in the world. The building is beautiful, and has many cozy nooks to sit and sip some wonderfully creative and tasteful martinis. There’s always something new and interesting on the menu, although the Bennington is still my favorite. Jon, the owner, is a wonderful human, very accommodating and funny. I haven’t stayed overnight, but the rooms are gorgeous, a wonderful mix of colonial and modern.

We had a fine stay at this Inn. It is small, very old, beautifully maintained house with only 4 guest rooms. The hosts are very friendly and give you privacy. The antique room was very clean, and had a flat screen tv with a keurig coffee machine, the linens were higher quality and soft. We thought this Inn was a great value. There’s no breakfast, but the room includes a complimentary cocktail from their Martini bar. No worries that there is a bar right outside our room… the bar is open no later than 10:30…and the host keeps a close eye on if the guests are retreating to bed for the night… and he’ll usher the remaining bar patrons out into the enclosed sunroom which was very considerate. The bar guests are mature adults so the noise is at a minimum anyways. The martinis were fantastic… our favorite was the cucumber one. And the truffle popcorn was awesome. We really enjoyed our short stay here and will be recommending it to friends.

This is one of those places that comes as don’t judge a book by its cover. We arrived to what looked like a run down farmhouse. Greeted by the owner in the parking lot and entered into a beautiful 1700s farmhouse. This place had been renovated and restored throughout. Instead of a B&B they offer a drinks and evening apps with your room. They have a very fun martini theme going on that really seems to be enjoyed by the locals. On the evening that we stayed there had to be 30 people in different groups enjoying drinks throughout the evening. They opened on Saturday night at 6 and last call was at 10, they offered a small assortment of apps(cheese plate, bread plate, and a few others) and about 30 different martini options. We had stayed over Valentines day weekend so they had about 4 ones special for he weekend. They offer different seating arrangements for couples, small groups, or larger ones. It is like attending a nice house party, but you don’t have to help clean up. The room was large and comfortable, we stayed in the Colonel’s Quarters on the ground floor. It was great and the drinking guests had headed home as we headed to bed. So there were no noise complaints. There are only three rooms in the inn so we didn’t even run into any of the other guests during our stay. Certainly A place I would consider in the future.
