There really aren’t enough words to describe how fabulous my daughter’s Happy Un-Birthday Sweet 16 Tea Party turned out, and I owe it to Laurel. Her attention to every detail and amazing tea service was outstanding! Our tea never dropped past ½ a cup. You would notice right away from the lovely décor and beautiful tea sets displayed in china cabinets. Oh…and the Cake!!! Now I know why her business is Oh, Cakes! I found out about Laurel from the cakes she donates for a fundraising event through my work. We started with appetizers of stuffed mushrooms and deviled eggs, then chilled strawberry soup, then delicious soft dense scones w/spreads, then 6 finger sandwiches including a cucumber one to match the story, then several different delicious cookies, and finished with a beautiful tropical 3 layer cake with 3 different flavors made from real fruit and 2 different fruit fillings with whipped cream — all made to order. My daughter ordered it with a chocolate tea set on top. We were so full we didn’t think we could eat the cake, but it was so good and the tiny fork helped to be able to take little bites, so we managed ;) We even played a little flamingo croquet on the back lawn. I highly recommend Laurel for cake, tea, or themed party. She is top notch!

Laurel bakes cakes and desserts that she sells at the farmer’s market on 1st street every Thursday 4−8pm. Laurel is so friendly and treats her customers like family. So far, we have tried the carrot cake, pumpkin chocolate chip cake, zucchini cake, and the peanut butter chocolate chip bars. All are absolutely delicious, with the best icing I have ever tasted. My favorite is the pumpkin chocolate chip, which she made this week because I suggested it ;) Each piece is $ 2– really can’t beat that price for the amazing delicious yumminess you are getting. Her cakes have the ingredients and weight listed on the container– and she makes gluten free desserts, too! She is the reason we return to farmers market every Thursday.
