Ate here on 0228 – 16 with two other couples. My wife’s order and mine came within 5 min. I made a comment they are on the ball. The eggs and potatoes were cooked to our liking but the bacon of which I ordered well done came limp. It was another 10 min before the next couple got their food. It was 10 – 12 min more before the third couple received their food. By then My wife and I had finished our meal. Everyone(6) of us all were in agreement that the meals were over priced for the quantity of food received. This is a self serve in that you get your own utensils, coffee, water etc. I would not mind this except the prices are not in line with serve your self. All six of us agreed this was not worth a return trip. The establishment has gone thru several owners under different names but the service has never improved.

Sandwiches ordered — The Big Pig & The Big Bull, both with fries. Buns = awesome. Fries = awesome(reminded me of the slightly squishy but tender skin-on fries you find at the fair). Service = very good. Pig/Sausage = very good. Brisket = great, but not what I expected(and someone forgot my pickles). Lovely smoke ring on the brisket but absolutely no smoke flavor.(I smoke my own meats at home so I have some experience in the smoke-flavor-level to expect.) Pork was nice too but again, no smoke flavor. If you had told me I was getting a roast beast dip or something along those lines I would’ve been stoked. BBQ«Sauce». To each their own, but this one is more of a sweet dip than what I’d call BBQ Sauce. If you added a splash of soy I could’ve almost called it Hawaiian. Again, great flavor but not what I was expecting for a BBQ joint. My biggest complaint(besides the whole BBQ with no smoke thingy) would be that the water glasses hadn’t been dried at all and had a lovely bleach tang. Ick. Then again, I know they’re clean. ;)

Award winning barbecue: tender brisket, flavorful pulled pork, tasty sausage. Great lunch time combinations. Even breakfast. The airport café space is back in business with an experienced barbecue pit master running the show. Give it a try sometime. And check out their menu, all on-line, with take out available.
