What a find! We had the pork and shrimp salad rolls, chicken dumpling, and lemongrass tofu vermicelli. The staff is attentive and friendly, the food is fast and very tasty. The textures were great, as well. Lovely Saturday lunch with the love of my life.

I come for the Phö Veggie. I literally could eat nothing else and be satisfied for ever more. And if you have room for desert, go for the sticky rice mango, it never fails to please.

Stopped by tonight for a quick bite. I loved it and will definitely be back. I ordered the shrimp pad thai with veggie spring rolls. I also ordered a honey dew boba tea with fruit jellies.(They have a wide variety of bobas available here.) My shrimp pad thai was a lot different than what I’m used to in other Vietnamese restaurants, but delicious nonetheless. Pretty spicy too? But that’s okay I like spicy! Just wish they would’ve put a disclaimer on the menu, because wow! Hottttttttt. Almost like that Cajun-esque taste? Just wanted to add it’s like .50 extra to add tapioca balls or fruit jellies to your boba. No big deal though. All in all, staff was very friendly and they make you feel welcome and joke around with you. We even got lollipops after! I thought that was cute. The staff does come off a little too anxious while waiting for you to order, but I know they mean well and are just trying to do their job. You receive big portions and you actually come out of here full. This just might be my new Vietnamese go to from now on.

Staff is super funny and helpful and attentive. Great food and I’m picky about my Asian cuisines. The pad Thai was yummy and fresh. Bean sprouts were so crunchy and the chicken was perfect, nice big pieces. The salad rolls with pork and shrimp were delish! I wish I lived in Bend!

Cute little Vietnamese restaurant in Bend, Oregon. We were seated quick, service was good, and the Phở was on point! I ordered the Iced Coffee and boy ooh boy was it strong, it kept me up all night. It was a comfort meal for me as I haven’t had phở in so long. This place is pretty authentic as owners were Vietnamese, there were pictures of the dishes on the walls and a request for the use of cash instead of credit cards. But they still accept credit cards. And there’s parking available, so that’s a plus

Everything about this place is great. I get the tiger rolls and phở with everything, and I’ve always got some leftovers for the next day! Friendly staff treats you like family and is always happy to see you. I have only a single complaint: When white people order nouc mam, which is this salty/sour fermented fish sauce, they don’t think you actually want that. The first few times, I had to be very clear, I didn’t want the fish-flavored vinegar they serve white people, I want actual nouc mam, like I use to make when I worked at a Vietnamese restaurant! The first time the waitress acted like I was stupid. The most recent time before they started taking me seriously, I noticed quite a few staff were staring at this white guy who was lapping the stuff up. I couldn’t help but laugh! Nothing has ever been said, and now when I say I want nouc mam, I actually GET nouc mam.

We were spending a few days in Bend so did some searching for restaurants. Based on our interest and reviews. We planned on eating here. The phở is very good, but be careful when ordering a large. I ended up with the«superbowl» this was the first time I couldn’t finish bowl of soup… holly cow. We dined outside with our pooch while listening to some nice Vietnamese music.

Best Phở in Bend, OR by a long shot. My favorite is the«P. Tai» Phở, which is the round steak phở on their menu. Incredibly delicious. Very consistent, excellent quality. The broth is amazing… they told me it cooks for a minimum of 10 hours and you can just taste that all of the ingredients are fresh. Have had a few other menu items as well that were also amazing. My guess is that anything that you order there is going to be delicious. Very clean(even the bathrooms), very friendly, family-owned and operated restaurant. It has become one of my favorite and I HIGHLY recommend it.

We’ve eaten here at least 6 times, and it is consistent. I really enjoy any of their phos, especially the chicken phở. They use all breast meat and the broth is savory and not too salty, which I appreciate. It’s so comforting in the winter. Their spring rolls are wonderfully fresh and have just the right amount of herbs. The imperial rolls are OK. I think the filling is a bit bland and mushy, but the outside is perfectly crispy. My main complaint would be the price, it’s almost $ 6 for two rolls. My husband loves the banh mi sandwiches, which he calls the«bomby» sandwiches. I tried the one with the pâté and various meats; it was tasty and definitely has a strong liver flavor. The chicken and pork sandwiches are a nice alternative with a honey lemongrass marinade, and the price is amazing! With the fresh veggies and crusty fluffy french baguette, they’re totally worth it, and you can call it in and they’ll have it ready in like 10 minutes. Cheaper than fast food and way healthier, too! I recently had a dish I didn’t enjoy, and they gave me some free spring rolls to compensate, which was much appreciated since I was pretty hungry later that night. Their customer service is always cheerful and we love eating at this place.

The food is delicious and the owner is hilarious. I eat here at least twice a week and every single time the Phó is phenomenal. The owner makes anybody who walks through the door feel like they are his best friend and the staff is quick to make sure you are taken care of. I will continue to eat here consistently and I highly recommend you do the same.

Vegan phở makes for a happy belly. Visiting Bend we were with a meat eating friend who isn’t exactly flexible with eating veggie stuff. Luckily we both enjoy phở and I was able to find a place(the only place I think) in Bend that has vegan phở. The restaurant was nice and clean. Not really a huge fan of sitting by a wall of photographed meals which are all meat, but expected in an Asian restaurant. The phở was good. I think they did a good job with the veggie broth and it had a ton of veggies in it. Granted, I aways like my phở spicy so my broth stipulations are slightly lower than some. Our friend got some tradition phở and enjoyed his meal as well. If we find ourselves in Bend craving phở again, I’ll know where to go.

Worst. Phở. Ever. This was pretty much a can of plain chicken broth and a packet of rice noodle ramen in a bowl with a few slices of roast beef. It was awful. Broth is bad. Noodles are bad. Meat is bad. Service not great. Phenomenal Phở Phail.

Vietnamese food is not made of phở alone. While I haven’t had phở here, I have had Phở Viet’s bun(rice noodle dishes), rolls, both fresh and fried, and bahn mii. For setting, service, food and price, I’ve found better all around in Vietnamese restaurants both local and outside Bend. For a while Phở Viet was the only Vietnamese restaurant in town. If you wanted Vietnamese food it was this or nothing. After my experience here, I would choose nothing. So it seems fair enough to share news in this review that there are now Vientamese food alternatives in Bend if you, like me, enjoy Vietnamese food but don’t enjoy Phở Viet. The same owner has a downtown Bend sibling restaurant, Sweet Saigon. A couple of visits there summed that up as AOK alternative, same food as Phở Viet although at higher prices to compensate for downtown’s high rents and slightly less chaotic service with less«sardine can» ambiance. There is also another Vietnamese restaurant in Bend, recently opened on S Highway 97 under different ownership. Called Dang’s, «I’m a fan» for food, service and prices. That said, here are reasons why my opinion is «meh» for Phở Viet. I realize that I hold the minority opinion based on Unilocal reviews. 1) Service is somewhere between poor and«you must be kidding» bad. Not, it seems, for any lacking of desire on the part of most of the folks there to do a good job. But they seemingly haven’t been trained in either the basics of waiting tables or in the basics of Vietnamese food. 2) Phở Viet is also the kind of place where clean up staff from the kitchen bring out big plastic tubs and squeeze in between your table and the one just vacated by other diners and clatter the dirty dishes into the tub within inches of your back. Not a criticism of the folks doing the work. They do what they are trained to do. These are the owner’s issues to address. 3) Food can take a long time to get from the kitchen to the table. Then the server seems to disappear meaning if you need follow up, as in you received the wrong order, good luck with that. 4) The owner is friendly, but he can be a bit overwhelming in his enthusiasm and pressing his guests to order what he wants them to try. 5) Ambiance here is sardine can tight and not particularly pleasant. Although as demonstration that I hold a minority opinion of «meh», I’ll note that the reason it is sardine can tight has not only to do with too many tables being jammed into the small space, but with the fact that the tables have diners in the chairs. 6) Previous owners or tenants of this restaurant space made an effort to provide an(ADA) accessible ramp(even if awkward) in the front door from the side of the parking lot so people who don’t climb steps due to disability can get in the door.(Steps up to the door otherwise.) But Phở Viet’s owner allows his relatives of young men to park their larege SUV’s in a way that blocks the ability to get to and use that ramp. If you think this isn’t important to consider or that it couldn’t be you or your loved one who one day need equal, barrier free access(aka ADA) rules to be followed, think about the fifteen human beings who faced amputations and learning to re-engage in the«new normal» after the Boston Marathon bombings. It is unacceptable to have this access blocked here through owner indifference. 7) Prices are just too high for the quality and portions. Not as high as Sweet Saigon, where they seem to border on ridiculous. THIS N THAT: 1) Parking lot is awkward for entry and exit with some traffic coming in off of Highway 97 at an aggressive pace. Just a heads up. 2) Outdoor area at front of restaurant for seating in nice weather.
