Fantastic service, top quality paint products, a big assortment of flooring and counter and tile products all in a light, bright, accessible space. Not even the little bit difficult«in and out» of the parking lot can deflate a five star rating for this store. We did business with Standard for sixteen years of living in Bend as we built two custom homes there. They were in their old location for most of that time. It was even better to go in to their«newish» location on the corner of Hiway 97 and Greenwood to enjoy the bigger, brighter space and the same stellar service. Gary is «the man» + Patrick is «the man» = these are«the guys» to see for great advice on paint! My husband and I are fans of Benjamin Moore paints and Standard sells them so we purchased paint from them for our Bend projects. We’re iiving elsewhere now but in the process of having a home built and once again we’re using Benjamin Moore paint. So when we were in Bend for a few days this week visiting family we stopped into Standard where Patrick helped us with full, 50% and 75% value mixes of a paint color and advice on «how to» this and that for having a front door stained. While I waited on paint sample cans to be mixed I wandered around the store and was amazed by the range of product Standard offers for flooring. We bought flooring product from Standard once for one of our homes in Bend but it seems they’ve really upped their game for the breadth of product lines from engineered hardwood to luxury vinyl tiles(LVT in the trade) to wall to wall carpet from economy brands through Godfrey Hirst wool berber. They also have a plethora of samples for counters and bathroom /kitchen tiles of all kinds, including from brands like Oregon Tile and Marble and Pental. They even have a couple of work tables in the store where you can lay out elements of your project to look at paints and finishes together. I’m not kidding when I say it occurs to me you could make a lot of home build or remodel purchases here. And for paint, they are unbeatable! Give them a try. THIS N THAT: 1) PARKING: The building has it’s own small lot. I hear Bend friends and family share their view that it is tough to get into and out of. True enough. But here’s the trick. Enter off of Greenwood and exit with a right turn onto Highway 97 and you’ll be a happier camper. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: One accessible parking space on «Highway 97 side». All doors are level in. Store on one level. One work table is at standard height.
