Eye of the Needle

I brought a garment bag to these ladies to monogram with my husband’s name for his graduation from basic military training. I hadn’t even thought about a gift until a week before, so I had a bit of a time crunch. I called the ladies at EOTN on Monday morning to ask them if they could do what I needed, and they were very helpful over the phone. We arranged that I’d bring the bag in the next morning. Tuesday came, and my car broke down and I couldn’t make it to them until after closing. I called and told them, and they were very understanding. Wednesday I brought the bag, which was the roll-​up Skyliner garment bag from Men’s Wearhouse, and the ladies immediately helped pick out a font for the monogrammed name and found the perfect thread color to match the yellow trim on the black garment bag. I also wanted to add an Air Force patch onto the bag next to the name, and when they saw the patch and bag and realized their machines were too big to fit in the pocket, they called Give ‘Em The Boot, the shoe repair place on 3^rd, and arranged with him everything for him to sew on the patch. They had the monogramming done early, in less than a day (they originally thought they might need three days to do it).
Overall: the ladies were helpful, cordial, and professional from start (my initial phone call to find out if they could do what I needed) to finish (picking up the bag). The price was reasonable and the end result just what I expected, and they finished my gift early. Thank you!

We were spending the weekend in Bend for a wedding and needed some embroidery work for the bride’s panties to highlight their special night. We found Eye of the Needle on a Friday morning and needed some same day work as the wedding was on Saturday. The business is located in the back of someone’s home in a separate shop setup in the backyard. It’s a nice little shop but a bit cramped. There were two employees, and they were very accommodating to my request. I was super pleased that they could help me on such short notice. They did good work, having embroidered the hubby’s name on undergarments and had it ready by the afternoon. The only, not so great thing was initially they quoted me $ 35 dollars which included the rush fee. Then the owner comes back with «ohh no… if you want it today, that will cost you $ 50» So that was pretty shitty. I really had no choice but to pay since I needed it for the wedding but still that seemed a bit excessive.
If you’ve got time, you might want to find another seamstress. If you are in a pinch and willing to pay through the nose, you can give this place a try.

Simply said, Eye of the Needle saved my behind! When I first called with a short deadline to meet, they offered other local solutions unable to fit me in, BUT said to call back if I hit a dead end. This for me was above and beyond! Other businesses offered no additional referrals, ideas or sympathy.
The following morning I showed up on their doorstep close to tears and they literally saved the day! Not only did they accept my embroidery project, staff took on the additional job of altering… saving me more groveling elsewhere, time that didn’t exist, and what looked like a trip over the mountain to be able to pull off this project in time :(
This makes them ABOVE, above and beyond!!! Great customer service is not enough to describe how amazing these people are. I am forever indebted and grateful.
