Tonight was our second visit… the waitress was Amazeballs !!! I had a burger with no bun and a salad with dressing on the side. kind of a picky order and it was no prob and they got it right. Full bar with a fun specialty drink menu there’s a big fire pit outside and plenty of outdoor seating. my hubby ordered sweet potato frys extra crispy they were perfect and he’s picky LOL. my friend ordered the Monte Cristo it wasn’t the usual deep fried sando, they do it in a whole new way she LVE d it. go try one k

Cabin 22 has great food, great service and again, awesome food. BUT… on this particular night, I was especially pleased with the service we received. Brian was especially on top of things, and I couldn’t have been more impressed. Thank you Brian for making our(once again) stop at Cabin 22 so memorable!

Disclaimer: I just joined Unilocal and I’m catching up on my reviews! I was here at the end of December 2015. We came in here for a snack after a light hike for some appetizers and drinks. We got the pork nachos and one other appetizer, but I can’t remember what it was. We enjoyed both! Our server was goofy and nice. He didn’t bring us enough napkins/forks, but he was a good server and took care of us. We all enjoyed our drinks, and my boyfriend’s aunt really enjoyed her bloody Mary. She even ate all the pickled garnishes. This place is super casual and nice for a quick drink or snack. Beyond that, I have no idea!

Some of the best nachos we’ve had. The Phat Greek Platter was marginal. Great bloody marys and beer.

Lunch time review: Love the $ 10 pick 2 menu, I always seem to turn to this. Great fresh food, good clean atmosphere, quick and friendly service. All around a great underrated lunch spot. I think the cabin may be more well known as a hangout spot for its patio or for game time in the bar but they also have killer food! Great well lit(no dark bar feel here) vibe and they usually have some good tunes playing in the background. Seems to be kinda empty at lunch except for others in the restaurant & bar industry enjoying their off time here, which speaks for itself. best=***** worst=* Price *** Atmosphere****(love the vibe, but kinda empty at lunch) Food ****(clean & fresh, nice presentation) Service*****(super fast and friendly at lunch)

Probably the best thing about moving to a new city is the fact that just about every meal is a new place to dine… What can I say about this place… Average food, overpriced menu, strange atmosphere… Lunch was a burger and fries, a wing appetizer, and 2 margaritas… All in $ 57.00… It’s not really a sports bar, but it’s not really not a sports bar… Identity crisis… Every pub in NW has been better food, and similar drinks… Not impressed… Won’t be back…

So have been here several times for drinks by the fire pit and that experience is 5 stars. Service has always been good and I am a big fan of the Champagne Squeeze on the drink menu! But the other night we decide to go a little earlier and have dinner. Sat on the patio, with the weather still good did not want to go inside the rather plain restaurant building. We split chicken wings and pizza. The pizza was really good, nice toppings, good flavor, crust perfectly cooked. The waitress suggested we try their homemade Thai sauce for the wings and we didn’t listen. We got the regular buffalo which was fine. The problem was that it seemed the wings had been smoked earlier in the day and then reheated and tossed with the sauce. They were really dry. Not inedible but not top notch. So food I would give a 3(2 for the wings and 4 on the pizza). Of course we stayed for after dinner drinks by the fire. The service was great as usual!

Always great food, one of the best Bloody Mary in Bend. Our server Jessica was awesome. Had ham and egg scramble for breakfast, good food for a good price.

Best restaurant breakfast I’ve ever had! Best ham I’ve ever had. Also the server was great & the owner visited all of us at the patio tables. Nice.

If you have a late night menu on your website/Facebook, it’s BS to say«oh things changed» in the restaurant. First off, it’s Facebook. Update your shit, it’s easy. Second, realize that just because I’m bold enough to ask, doesn’t mean everyone else is. In fact, there have probably been tens of dozens of late night patrons who you deceived with your fake late-night menu hours. You undoubtedly made these people feel too self-conscious to ask what is up with your false advertising. Food was pretty good. Nachos I liked fair enough. Spicy burger was legit spicy, good work there. Salad relied on craisins but had quality cucumbers. Server was very nice, friendly, and attentive. I don’t know their rules but he should have given us something gratis(one beer?) After inquiring about the late-night menu, and being told that it now starts later or isn’t on this day, we didn’t ask for any special treatment. I don’t know what the waitstaff is empowered to give or not… But we were not bashful about asking about the discrepancy and yet no recommence was received. I don’t necessarily blame him. He was great. Places have bizarre rules. Had we been given a discount it would have been given right back in extra tip to the server. We may be back. We may not. Probably not anytime soon; trust is a hard thing to earn back… I don’t like feeling tricked. We specifically looked for a late night menu in Bend. Cabin 22 advertised one prominently one their website. It simply wasn’t there when we arrived. I left full, but also with a bad feeling…

Love this place! If you’re looking for a fun place to hang with your buddies for a beer and some good grub this is it. It is noisy so don’t expect a quiet atmosphere. I ordered the prime rib dip and it was delicious. Beer was cold and served promptly after ordered. Staff was nice and quick. I’m not a fan of lingering waitresses. At the end of the day I will definitely be returning here again for another meal an cold beer.

Better than I had expected from folks I spoke with and the reviews here. First impressions were poor though, hard to tell where the front door is(came in through the ‘service’ door which is first in line — and was open — and when we asked if we had the right door the guy standing there said«No.» Our quizzical look made him rethink the simple unhelpful answer and he said we could sneak through since he figured our group was right beyond him. Entry, it’s a challenge you must accept. Second impression… freezing inside. I know it’s been too toasty in these parts but when it’s raining and a chill wind is a-blowin’, turn off the AC. Third impression… multiple chairs at the table were so rickety they felt scary. And one of our tables was sitting so crooked that a bit of my beer tipped out. They’re trying to feel fancy pantsy but it really falls short. Stick with the dive bar theme and you’ll do better. Menu has a good mix of items with a little twist. Burger with brie, honey Dijon and bacon? Yes please. Although later I discovered that the honey sauce stuff had either tried desperately to escape the patty(and ran all over the plate) or had been drizzled with a vengeance. And it tasted and looked like plain cheap honey, no mustard kick at all. Oh, and my burger bun absolutely disintegrated(and that’s the exact proper word for it) after the first few bites. I figured it was my strange sauce but realized everyone else at our table with a burger was having the same meltdown. Reuben was voted as having a good flavor but was stuffed with sauce and kraut, meat application minimal. At first I was peeved that a $ 13 sandwich required an extra $ 2 for fries(chips in this town have been meh at best). But now I wish I had gone the sammich route cause the chips are awesome. I can’t imagine how the same root vegetable in different forms forces a restaurant to need to charge an extra fee. /smackforehead It’s not like we haven’t already paid for a side. That’s a different side-rant. Literally. So I guess what I’m saying is that I would go back, especially to check out the patio since it looked lovely and had far sturdier chairs, but I wouldn’t be awfully excited about it.

Friends and I stopped here on our way back from a big hike around Crater Lake. We had a great time. We were first told that it would be a 30 – 45 min wait for a table outside so we opted for an inside seat. We were greeted by a nice guy, and given waters and menus right away. A really nice rep with Absolute came over and sat and talked with us. Gave us some t-shirts and talked me into my drinks for the night :). I went to the restroom and when I returned my friends said they got a table outside and we moved out there. I loved the patio. It was packed and everyone was having a great time. Our server was slammed but kept up like a pro. I was pretty impressed with her efficiency. We ordered the nachos and wing tip app(can’t remember the exact name). They were both really good and we devoured them in no time. I was a little surprised at the low Unilocal score. I’m not sure if I just got them on a really good night or that Bend is so saturated with cool places that the bar is set really high! In any case I loved Cabin 22 and Bend!

Stopped by for an early dinner. We’ve driven by many times & love the way the patio set up looked. We ordered — Cabin 22 Burger w/fries — Chipotle Turkey Avocado Sandwich w/salad for the side(ranch dressing was awesome!) — Kids grilled cheese w/fries Food was good. My husband enjoyed his burger, had a good thick patty. I loved the chipotle sauce on my sandwich & the bread was tasty! Of course my son liked his grilled cheese, can’t really mess that up. The service. Well, our waitress was ok. It was weird. She was ok but the food runner(looked like maybe he was the owner or a manager of some sort) & another guy that was cleaning up & filling waters were happy go lucky & friendly! I’d much rather them walking around doing the waiting & interacting. The atmosphere was kind of blah… We sat out on the patio, I actually never went inside so I cannot say how it was. With the patio set up, I was hoping for a 10 Barrel or Pacific Pizza & Brew feel… Needs to be a little more lively & that will stem from happy servers! They’re still new, I will definitely try it a couple more times!

I love the burgers and sandwiches. Fries are ok, but their house made chips are pretty killer. Good local beer selection. Inside isn’t much, but they have tv’s everywhere so that you can watch several games at once. The staff was friendly and helpful, and we usually get our food quickly. Even when it’s busy, we were greeted at once and brought menus. Outside has an awesome patio with fire pits and heaters. Really fun to sit outside in the sun and sip on a beer with your friends.

Ok it’s a sports pub. No big deal really. The atmosphere is ok but …, sports pub. Full bar which I like because I’m not a huge beer lover. Great place to watch a big game. The place comes alive during a game! Finally an better alternative to sidelines, thank you! I’ve always wondered why that huge terrific patio never seems to have anyone at it. At least not when I’ve been there. You drive by ten barrel and the fire pit is packed, then drive by the cabin and no one. Kinda odd. I think they should promote that better somehow. The Ruben with bacon is amazing and the bloody Mary’s are AWESOME!

Saturday lunch with the girls. Everyone was satisfied with the lunch portions and mimosas. Early warm spring weather made for great conversation on the patio.

This has been on my list of places to check out. Sunday afternoon, late lunch. Walk in, immediately greeted by the bartender and we seat ourselves. Quickly given menus and brought water. Nice waitstaff. I had the King Reuben which has the bonus of bacon on it. You can never go wrong with bacon. Reuben wasn’t bad, fries were the kind I like not too skinny, not too fat. Across the table from me was the Italian sub with marinara. Served on a hoagie roll and oddly not cut in half. A little hard to manage, but the idea is to dip it in the marinara. Roll was a little on the stale side. Served with chips which weren’t great. Sub had some flavor to it, but a little overkill on the onions. 22 beers on tab. Cocktail menu was uninspired, I did not partake. I’m not sold on the ambience of this place. I’ve been here several times with the previous owners and always feel like they just haven’t finished decorating the place. An area that was originally designed for live music now seems to be the resting place for the extra furniture. I don’t know, something about the layout doesn’t work for me. Lots of TV’s, so good place to catch a game. Food was so-so. Staff was pretty good.

The atmosphere screams Velvet — for rednecks. Service was great in the bar but terrible at the table… and the food was AWFUL. Menu tried to be experimental but instead was just disgusting… We got the nachos which were pretty much covered in mayonnaise. You can call it aioli… but it’s just mayo, and that doesn’t belong on nachos. OR fries. And cabbage and carrots on nachos? Not so much. The drink selection was good and well priced so I would only recommend going here if you’re just going to drink.

Soft opening last night, open for business today for six days a week 11a — 11p hours, this is part bar, part big firepit patio and part pub-styled kitchen for food. Location was formerly Blue Pine Kitchen. Cabin 22 owner used to own local lake lodge and his personal cabin was #22, hence the name. Some work has been done to interior to freshen it but it is much as in the Blue Pine days. The bulk of changes have taken place on the expanded front patio with fire pits. Move over 10 Barrel on that score. Seating inside at both high perch and standard height tables. Seating on patio. SERVICE: Friendly FOOD: Prices run about $ 8 to $ 13 in options from appetizers, salads, burgers, sandwiches and pizzas. They smoke their own meats I was told and make their own salad dressing. We shared appetizers and salads. Food had some good elements but was not memorable with some sophomore«oops…» in the mix. Wasn’t the only who thought so it seems as saw waitstaff running items back to kichen for«do-over». But then again they are newly opened. LIBATIONS: Full bar, 23 taps for beer, 10TV screens one of which is dedicated to the beer options. This is not a spot for wine drinkers, short list and unremarkable. We tried cocktails. Bloody mary was good; caipirinha was not. Well, to be candid it was lousy and this is a fav cocktail for me when made right. Noted the bar tender sampling to try to get it right before sending it out. and adding sugar from a shaker to it before giving to server. When I sent it back, it was started over. I’d say this is not the spot for a specialty cocktail. Stick to the basics. BOTTOMLINE: This would be a place we’d stop for patio seating and maybe a libation and snack to meet friends but not as destination for food. But given the patio and the west side location we imagine this will be a great alternative to 10 Barrel for the«YODUUUDE» crowd given the beer options on tap. Different strokes. Imagine it will become a popular gathering spot for patio alone. THIS N THAT: 1) DOGS: Allowed on patio. 2) PARKING: Lot in back too little for the seating size of this place. Be prepared to use side streets if this gets popular. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: One accessible parking spot meets minimums. Unfortunately, ramp up is far too steep. In the owner’s vernacular, more skateboard chute than useable wheelchair useable ramp. Per owner City of Bend mandated this design violating Oregon Building Code and Federal ADA civil rights equal access rules. So dogs are welcome but not humans in wheelchairs? Shameful. Especially since in Blue Pine days there was an acccessible entry to the door.
