Wonderful customer service. Very patient with us, and offered lost of options and suggestions. We had someone come to our house and she helped us think about colors. We spent a lot of time in both locations and always had a great service. If you want well-​made American furniture and don’t mind paying for it, this is the best (and probably only) place in Bend to find it! Reminded us of Room & Board.

Small spaces present various challenges, and my NYC apartment is small and dark and needed a lot of help. What does this have to do with a furniture store in Bend, Oregon? Well, on a recent ski holiday in Bend I walked into Bend Furniture and Design browsing and in my never-​ending search for inspiration. My vacation went from great to epic when I met Heather Cashman, one of the owners (along with her husband John) and the company design expert.
I’d been putting off my redecoration and slight renovation for years and after an inspiring conversation with Heather I returned to NYC committed to getting it done. She helped me with everything from lighting fixtures to floor finishes and everything in between. I sent her images of my apartment and she consulted with me in multiple phone conversations and online, even setting up inspiration pages on Houzz for me to look at! I bought everything I needed from the store and found someone local to do the installations. All the while Heather guided the project from all the way across the country making sure it was done just right. All I can say is «it’s perfect!» I love coming home to my apartment and am forever grateful that I walked into Bend Furniture and Design that fateful day. Their mantra of your Home being your Sanctuary has never felt truer. Thank you Heather and John!

This is a review for their design services. My husband and I popped into this store one evening while making our way next door to Sip Wine Bar. We loved all of the wonderful furniture and accessories. We decided to hire one of their designers to come help us with design help for the living room in our new house. I was explicit in my communication that we had existing items, may need to add a few accessories, but really needed ideas with what we had. The designer arrived and promptly pointed out all of the things in our living room she did not like. Throughout the course of the hour she basically told us to get rid of everything. She was very snooty and not helpful. It was painful to write a check for $ 85 at the end of the hour. I would NOT recommend their design service unless you have an empty room to start with and thousands of dollars to spend.

We moved into our new home in NWC in Sept. 2012 and went to Bend Furniture to purchase living room and dining furniture from North America. This was important to us. Heather and John Cashman are knowledgable, professional and have the interior design eye to make a beautiful room. We are very happy with everything purchased and how Heather worked with us on placement of pictures etc. When you go to the store on Galveston in Bend it is small but they have the catalogs to help with choices. It is a good experience and we highly recommend them. Pam and John W.

We just built a home in Bend — and the home was going to be in the 2011 Central Oregon Builders summer home tour. We needed to «stage» the property, but are from out of state. We like to keep our business close to our «new» home, asked around, and was told to call on Bend Furniture and Design. We walked down the street, and met Heather and John Cashman.
Right away we knew we liked the Cashman’s as they were very professional, easy to talk with, and really knew their product lines. Long story short — we talked and met with the Cashman’s over a several month period. We trusted the Cashman’s so much, we decided NOT to stage, and actaully purchased all the furnishings new for the tour.
With John’s product knowledge and knowing, and Heathers great design eye, we were able to put together a very impressive new home, which won awards — and I am sure the interior design and furnishings had a lot to do with it.
We are still, and will still purchase new items from the Cashman’s — and it had progressed to a point where they actually know «what we need,» from what we have told them.
We would recommend bend Furniture and Design to anyone looking for a great product, great service, great knowledge, and authentic nice people!

We started as «looky loos» — see previous review — but ended up as buyers of a couple of arm chairs. The chairs were delivered last week and from the process of selecting them through order through delivery we are very happy customers of Bend Furniture & Design.
Owners John and Heather Cashman know the product lines they carry so well that while we first thought the options were too NW Modern for our home, Heather helped us select chairs that were nicely transitional. Turns out these chairs were «just what we were looking for» in design as well as good quality and at a reasonable price point too.
Having been customers of Bend Furniture & Design, we can see why the business was the winner of a local newspaper’s readers choice for «Best of Central Oregon» in furniture. Not only do they provide the right formula of product, price point and design expertise, they also know how to make customers feel valued. Customer service and follow up are top notch. Well done!
We hope success will allow Bend Furniture & Design to expand to a larger showroom and perhaps add more upholstered and case good lines with transitional characteristics that might broaden their customer base. If the meantime, if you live in the area and are in the market for furniture, Bend Furniture & Design is well worth considering. We’re sure glad we did.
