This is a cool little mini market with lots of good beer and snacks. I’ve been going here for probably close to 15 years.
The fact is though, what you really need to care about are the tri-tip sandwiches. Get it EXTRA SPICY with cheddar cheese. Literally the best tri-tip I’ve ever eaten in my life, and I’ve eaten a lot of tri-tip. The spicy marinade is out of this world. It’s almost unbelievable how good it is.
Take a day trip to Big Basin and get a few of these sandwiches for the crew, thank me later.

A decent tri-tip sandwich but not the style I like. I like that it was served very moist with au jus added but the sandwich is slightly sweet which wasn’t my favorite thing. But they had other sandwich options that looked great so I’ll try them again and report back.

BEST TRI TIP SANDWICH IVE EVER EATEN. And Masood is super friendly and helpful. I love this little place… When I’m thinking of a place to eat sandwiches… I’m always glad to drive into the SC mountains for a Tri-tip at Masood’s! :)

Their hot pastrami sandwich is great — best I’ve had in all of Santa Cruz County — so long as you get the shorter, friendlier Mexican dude to make it — he takes extra care and for some reason it’s better than the other guy.
I get it on the toasted french roll. Super good.
Masood rules too — if he stops carrying something you like, just tell him, and before you know it, he’ll have it back on the shelf.

Yes, it’s true. This is THE best tri tip sandwich place in the world. I’m just sad that it’s so far out of the way. I used to help out at a church summer camp not far from there and I heard rumors of this place for years, and then actually tried it. Awesome. It’s been years since I’ve had one, but will always think of it and drool. Good stuff.
Another place for the wife and I to visit.

no kidding. this totally unassuming mini market has the best damn tri-tip sandwiches i’ve ever, ever eaten. if you’re heading up on highway 9, this place is a definite must.
if i were to start eating meat again, this would be the first place i headed to!

Tri-Tip sandwiches just haven’t been the same since I’ve eaten here. Tucked away in the back corner of a liquor store is a deli with the best sandwiches!
Each morning they grill the meat for the day on a tiny BBQ out front.
You have to get the Tri-Tip here (and a beer) and go dine amongst the Redwoods =)
