There is so much to see for local food supporters when you walk in the door of Old Line Fine Wine and Bistro. They have such a large selection of beer, wine, and spirits. The selection is local, regional, national, and international. If a beer, wine, or spirit is made in the District, Maryland, or Virgina(DMV), chances are you will find it here. The owners are very supportive of local products. On to the bistro. I ate here with a friend more than a year ago. Unfortunately, she wasn’t impressed. She is a foodie and willing to try anything which makes her my barometer for what is good and not good. I came to the Bistro for a meeting in January 2016. My colleagues ordered several things off the menu and were very pleased with their dishes to include brussel sprouts. Chef Ed Reynoso, who has worked in the DC restaurant scene, took over the reigns of The Bistro within the last year. It’s been quite a change. Chef Ed came out to talk with customers while we were there and stopped by our table. We gave him compliments on the food. I didn’t have anything to eat this day but tried his special«after meal cocoa.» I don’t really care for chocolate but that specially mixed cocoa is soooo goood! Chef Ed changes up the menu to include seasonal dishes and listens to the feedback of customers on new dish creations. This is a true chef and local beer, wine, spirits driven restaurant in the middle of Beltsville. The staff at The Bistro deliver good customer service. The person that waited on our table was very familiar with the menu and made recommendations. The Bistro does weekly events to include Trivia which draws a nice crowd. The bar is very craft beer focused and sells growlers. I wonder if they carry Calvert Brewing Company’s Route 4IPA which is brewed in Prince George’s County? I have to bring my friend back to The Bistro now that Chef Ed Reynoso is running the show.

This review is primarily for the bistro. but i did peruse the wine selection and found it to be good and the pricing i saw was fair and comparable to other places i have purchased. The bistro(especially the cool bartender, Chris) is great. This was my 2nd visit. Chris made the atmosphere very comfortable. It looks high-end but feels like old shoes. haha! On my first visit a month or so ago I was able to sample the amazing«winter hot chocolate»…WOW! That is some amazing stuff. Guy in the bar was giving me and a friend a hard time about drinking hot chocolate and it happen to be 60 degrees outside… haha! I would drink it on the beach! Its so good! All the burgers have a name on there menu… the 2 I ordered were the Madmen(bourbon grilled pineapple & ham on burger) YESSSSS!!! So good. The other burger was the Power burger(lettuce, tom, white cheddar, and DOUBLEBACON! YESSSS!!! They make their burgers with ground brisket which gives a unique smoothness and amazing taste! Cooked perfectly! Had the truffle fries the first time. just can’t quite acquire the taste of the truffled anything. but fries themselves were great! 2nd time I had the steak fries and was pleased with those. I will be back NO Question! FYI… Keep Chris! Happy Unilocaling!

Great atmosphere to hand out and enjoy great food! The customer service was also a plus… I would definitely be retiring in Sunday for the brunch and bottomless mimosas

Really good brunch. You can get a main dish that can quickly turn into leftovers. Because you can do an add on of an omelette with a cold buffet. That can really fill you up as the selection is quite good and varied. While my veggie omelette was cooking I was able to sample a variety of cold salads that was quite delicious they also have fruit and dessert. For my main brunch dish I had chicken and red velvet waffles. The chef is really good. He must have training as a saucier. The sauce for the chicken was very good it had a little kick. My brunch companion had the banana nut french toast. It was more like banana bread than french toast. It was very sweet and it came with an apple butter. Needless to say that it up in a to go box. I would highly recommend brunch there especially if you live in the area. Enjoy

We stopped by this restaurant after looking through the adjoined spirits store. Firstly the food was amazing… I recommend the pork and plantain sandwich with truffle fries! They have a great happy hour menu with alcohol discounts all day Monday through Friday(2 – 7) with good discounts starting at 4. If you are in the neighborhood(or not!), consider stopping by for a pint or bite to eat. You won’t be disappointed!(You might even get a complimentary cup of hot cocoa after your meal!) Thank you Old Line!!!

This place is totally 5 stars. The craft beer selection changes often with a wide variety of brews. The service is always great. Bartenders Samantha and Christen are terrific. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The food is always amazing as well. This is a local gem. Whenever I travel here I always come in. You can register and get free food. I was reluctant to review to let the secret out, but here it is. Great place for sure!

This bistro held all sorts of lovely surprises and from the onset, the overall vibe was sincerely welcoming. Everyone, to include management, waiters and personnel in the Liquor store were extremely hospitable. The bistro is small, cozy — reddish and sponged golden painted walls, eye-catching paintings hung on the walls, a huge assortment of beers and a pleasing variety of tunes — Imagine Dragons, Taylor Swift, Aerosmith — you name it and they played it; it’s all good. Nice looking menu too — very eclectic with many interesting options, making it extremely difficult in choosing what to eat. I hope my review matches the uniqueness of this bistro/alcohol market. Honorable Mentions Being warmly greeted at the entrance to the Bistro by the manager Seemingly crowded, tables were pushed together to accommodate my family Whimsically named burgers, solid onion rings — perfectly crisp and sweet House made ketchup and a jalapeño sauce Being serviced by Star Lord — honestly, he looked just like him! Perfect ending note and on the house, mini shots of secret recipe, hot chocolate with Rum — delish An incredible truffle Mac & Cheese — sampled off my kid’s plate; I’m getting that the next time Dense & chocolately flourless cake An amazing array of unique alcoholic beverages, some of which would make wonderful gifts. You MUST check them out. Mini Gripes Menu was slightly misleading — under burgers, states a pulled pork sandwich. It is not a pulled pork sandwich, but a burger with a pulled pork topping. Suggestion — if a customer orders this burger, perhaps the server should make it clear to the patron, that this is not a pulled pork sandwich, but rather a sandwich with a pulled pork topping. Note the hubby’s surprise when underneath his pulled pork, was a hamburger! He enjoyed it nonetheless, even though it was a bit more underdone then he would have liked. Thought my white truffle fries were a little mealy. For the most part, the portions were ample — except for our flourless chocolate cake. We all looked at each other and thought, «small.» But realized soon enough, that we were thankful it was so, because of it’s intensity and denseness. The service was a tad slow as well, but we think it’s because Star Lord was busy saving our galaxy. Mini shot of hot chocolate — we just wanted MORE, not nice to tease the customers like that All in all, a great experience and we’re looking forward to venturing here again. Special notes* some desserts take a long time to bake. Please make sure to inquire about those when ordering, so when you’re done eating — you’re treated to something very special.

This is a new love and soon to be addiction for me and my boyfriend. We went for this first time by recommendation of a work friend and were sooooo pleased. We both loved our burgers, the empire(packed with yummy pulled pork) and the game of thrones(prosciutto, Brie, bacon, lost dreams). The burgers themselves are just amazing. They are juicy, big, and well seasoned. My only critique is I did pay four dollars to upgrade to truffle fries. The fries were delicious but there were too few. I needed more! I’d like to be buried with those fries, and that burger… and maybe I will because I may just have to eat them every day. Go go go!

I have to say im a bit biased because the owner is a friend of mine. Larry Pendleton has done a grest job with this place. I love it. i was never a big Corridor(Route 198) goer, so Old Line does it for me. From the reasonable prices on wine to the lower price tag of some of my favorite liquors, im impressed with their selection. As for the Bistro, ive never eaten anything there that has diappointed. NEVER! The chicken pesto pasta is to die for! Even my last minute trip there on Cinco de Mayo impressed me with the fish tacos! I highly recommend this place, you will not leave unhappy.

Excellent for craft beer! Mediocre for food. Staff was legitimately awesome and friendly! First time here and we didn’t know what to expect. Walking into and old Circuit City building is odd and it took us a minute to find the bistro. It’s in the back right of the wine store. They have a good happy hour. You can’t really beat a $ 3 burger. If you’re looking for craft beer and cheap food, this place is for you. Don’t expect gourmet quality food. The burger was just alright. They don’t ask how you’d like it cooked. Don’t bother with the Steak&Cheese Eggroll. Although it’s fried well and looks pretty, you can tell it came out of the freezer. The pulled pork sliders are good but the BBQ sauce is a little sweet for my taste. Would I come here again? Absolutely. Would I make this my regular happy hour location! Probably not.

Cool shop, but where’s all the IBV100+? Selection endless. Beer for me, I thought the whiskey was a bit pricey. Tons of beer, and I really appreciated the regional sectioning, but finding my favorite types proved a challenge. For me to worship here on Sundays, they’ll need to beef up the selection of West Coast, super hoppy, super crisp, only moderately malty IPA’s. Yes, I know that’s pretty specific, but all I really found was Lagunitas Hop Stoopid. They had Stone, but I can get that anywhere.

I was totally prepared to like this place because a lot of my friends have been here and like the place. But, like the two stars say…“Meh…” The Missus and I came here for the Bistro and not the humongous liquor store in front. So this review is more about the Bistro. We came in mid-afternoon. After lunch but before happy hour so the place really wasn’t crowded at all. First, you have to walk through the humongous liquor store to get to the Bistro in the back. The liquor store looks nice like it’s really trying hard to compete with Total Wine up in Laurel. It doesn’t stand a chance. Beltsville and College Park are not know for their high falutin’ tastes in wine or spirits. I may be wrong but it’s worth it for me to drive 12 miles to Laurel and Total Wine to get expert help and tons of choice. Second, the Bistro is really no great shakes. It’s like the owners had some extra space they didn’t know what to do with so they put in a bar and some tables and called it a Bistro. It’s not even a high end, hoity toity bar where you can sample all the high end wines, beers and spirits sold in the front. They have TVs over the bar playing sports and a couple of people sitting around swilling some beer. Third, the service is so-so(more on that in a minute). Fourth, the food is good. This is definitely the high spot of the experience. The food is good. It is made to order so you have to wait awhile so don’t come in super hungry. It has great taste and a nice presentation and nice choices that are not run-of-the-mill bar food. Fifth, back to the service. Young kid who seemed to sorta know what he was doing but didn’t quite know how to relate to two geezers that weren’t drinking to excess and just wanted a nice late lunch. Generally, throughout the meal the kid did OK. He came to tell us the food was taking awhile because it’s made-to-order, yadda, yadda. The real kicker came at the end when it came time to pay the bill. The kid came with the check, I gave him my debit card and I waited… and waited… and waited… and waited. Finally, I stood up trying to get the kid’s attention(he never really did come back by the table). When he came over he asked if there was anything he could do for us. Yeah. how ’bout giving me my debit card back! He got ever so slightly flustered and mentioned he got distracted and he was sorry and so on but it was obvious he gave my card to someone to ring up and then completely forgot about us. Probably because people his own age came in complete with a couple of hotties. I probably won’t be back. I don’t mind slow food even if I’m the only one in the place especially if it’s good. But I HATE waiting around after I’m completely done waiting to pay my bill so I can go home.

This place is(arguably) THEBEST burger in the College Park(and surrounding) area! All their burger choices are amazingly delicious, and their truffle fries are on point! I highly recommend this restaurant. If you live nearby, pick up is also a great option! Our food is always hot and delicious when we pick it up. My personal favorite is the True Blood Burger, and my husband loves the Scandal burger :). UPDATE: We still love Old Line just as much as before, and have now even been there for brunch! The bottomless mimosas are THEBOMB! However, their dinnertime fare is still my favorite… but now the Duck Flatbread has replaced the special place in my heart once held by the True Blood Burger. 9÷11÷15UPDATE: I am highly allergic to shiitake mushrooms, and as such, ordered the duck flat bread and requested no mushrooms. We asked if we could pay a little extra and get more duck to substitute. We were told yes and happily paid more. However, our order arrived, and low and behold, there were mushrooms — and not just on it, but embedded in the cheese. I carefully picked off every piece of shiitake and cautiously ate half my meal. I’m currently sitting around scratching myself, and developing patches of hives as I type. There’s no denying the food here is delicious, but as far as I’m concerned, when someone pays you extra for something extra and requests something be removed, it should be done. I still like Old Line, but am greatly disappointed by what I would argue is mediocre customer service.

A gem tucked away behind the Costco and in the old Circuit City building. Walk thru the aisles of beer & wine all the way to the back where you come upon the Bistro. I had low expectations but with tons of craft beers on tap and a creative menu I was a happy camper. I had the Sriracha steak sandwich. Great flavors and an ample portion. The hanger steak was well received as well. They make their own ketchup and spicy mayo, I couldn’t resist. Quite tasty. Clearly this place elevates the surrounding area and I am happy I came!

People might get turned off by the appearance of this place, as it used to be an old circuit city, but the old homage«don’t judge a book by its cover» definitely applies here! There selection of beer, wine, and spirits is awesome. Definitely worth a browsing before/after you eat at their bistro. I was in the mood for barbecue flavors and ordered the BBQ wings, and True Blood Burger. BBQ wings were probably some of the best I’ve had. Jumbo wings meant extra meat, and with that sweet tangy sauce, well worth it. Cooked tender, and none of that overcooked stuff you see at other places. The True Blood burger was also a solid choice, cooked medium rare, the cheese and barbecue combo did it for me. Lastly, the chips were a nice sidekick — thick and extra crunchy. 5⁄5 for both dishes.

How’s this for a dangerous concept? You take this fairly large space, right? And you bring in nice display shelves and arrange them in wide, easy to navigate aisles. And then you start loading in booze. Wine, beer, spirits. Did you know there’s a gin distillery in D.C. Neither did I, but if you want to try some of their hootch, you can find it at Old Line. But you don’t stop there. Then you a tuck small dining area in the same space and serve nifty food and drink. Yeah, let people get a few under their belts and then turn them loose in your aisles of drink. Next thing you know, they’re sleeping it off in a corner. Now they aren’t! They’re shuffling out to their car with enough booze to fuel an army. I thought it was really neat and the menu is very interesting. We intend to go back EVENTHOUGH the service in the restaurant was … meh? I think the waiter was new. Any way, it is more than good enough to warrant another visit. And perhaps another and another. And even if the restaurant isn’t that great, there’s still all the booze.

I was a little confused when I walked into this establishment(that clearly is an old Circuit City). A friend told me to meet them for happy hour and to come all the way to the back. When I entered the store, I thought that I was in the wrong place. But I soon saw signs for the Bistro located in the back of the store. On my way to the bistro, I passed a very nice selection of beers, wine, and spirits. There was also a part of the store rented out for a b’day party. This store is willing to do all it can to earn your money. The employees and bartenders were very approachable and friendly. I will be back again to take advantage of the HH specials and to get a growler of beer.

I have not tried the bistro but I’m in love with the liquor store! It has the biggest selection in my immediate area, though it is a bit of a pain for me to get to from Greenbelt. It comes close to Total Wine in its square footage of store, but has a lot more open space, and so less selection. But, there were still lots of great wines, good variety of prices, and some labels of my favorite types of wine and cider that I hadn’t seen before! I spent a good 15 minutes wandering the aisles just to see what they had, none of the workers asked if I needed help which struck me as odd, but oh well. I’ll have to come back and try the bistro because that place was hoppin’ and must be pretty good!

Two parts to this review: the Bistro, and the liquor store. Store: The old adage«Large quantities of liquor almost never lead to something good» holds true! After walking the aisles of beer(craft beers, local stuff, and all the hits), wine, and liquor, our cart was full, and our wallets were empty. Tons of choices, whether you like classics, variety, or adventures. There is a huge corner of the store that is currently empty, I don’t know if they’re going at expand the bistro or add a section for accessories(solo cups, glasses, shakers, bottle openers, etc.; this is recommended by yours truly), but it was kind of weird both times I went. Though I imagine old Circut City locations aren’t super expensive to acquire, you might as well get too much space. Bistro: A nice cozy bar and spacious dining room in the back, with tasty sandwiches and unique beers on tap. I had a delicious steak sandwich and a pear beer from Dogfish Head. Server was nice, price was right, had a nice calm date with my wife over good food and drink. It is difficult to get into the parking lot due to the constant traffic on Hwy 1, but we managed. It’s worth crossing the traffic!
