Michael’s Pizza

Large cheese pizza was pretty good, I did enjoy it, but I’ve had better. The pizza was a bit sloppy when I opened the box.

PIzza here is great if you like Greek style. Be sure to get some spinach pie to go, they make it in house and it is delicious. Never been disappointed, very friendly staff and good prices.

I love this place! The house special is incredible (especially personal size) and this is everything your neighborhood takeout pizza joint should be. We’ve been coming here for years and the pizza never disappoints. Pepperoni is great too, and love the Italian subs. The wings are just the right amount of crunch. Is it healthy, gourmet, or new age? No. But it’s delicious and the guy behind the counter is like family lol. My kids love him!

Stopped at Michael’s last weekend, as I had a craving for a spinach pizza with feta and garlic. I had never been here before but they delivered! (not literally). I waited and the staff was friendly, and they were interested and wanted to know how I wanted the pizza, and overall everything was excellent. Everyone has a different idea of what they believe makes a good pizza, and every pizza place differs in how they prepare the pizzas, but Michael’s did a good job overall to make a good pie with all the ingredients requested, and they seem to care about customer service which in and of itself deserves 4 – 5 stars! I like this place and plan to return if I am in the neighborhood.

Fast (10 min max most times), delicious, very diverse menu, fair prices, consistent, and one of the friendliest cooking staffs I deal with. I’ve been going here once a week for 10 years, and I can seriously say my food has never been less than a 4/​5, and its a ⁵⁄₅ 90% of the time. And they’re great for large orders too; you can ask for a big platter for 10 people, and it’s ready in 15 min.

The pizza is perfection and the atmosphere is awesome. We live right down the street so we get Michaels all the time and its never a disappointment. Their wraps are great too!

Pizza is delish. Crust is on the medium-​thick side.

Wow the pizza is amazing. It should be considered a crime of how just the mere thought of indulging in this hot pie makes your mouth water and jaw clench.
I usually order a green pepper and mushroom or eggplant pizza, top it with fries and see how much of it I can eat in 30 mins or less. I can eat this pizza everyday and never get tired of it. If you’re in the area you should try it for yourself.

We had a hot meatball sub and spaghetti. Both were very good. Friendly staff; order at the counter and pick up when ready. A cooler with water, iced tea and soft drinks. Just a simple hole in the wall with quality product.

Delicious Greek Salad yesterday! Fresh, tasty, and I liked the pieces of real carrots… many places skimp on shredded carrots and this place gives you slices of whole carrots. Will definitely be back… probably this week!
Updated review– lost a star… after frequenting this place many times, I find it interesting that the pricing changes every visit despite the same exact few items I get over and over. The price changes are not huge, $ 1.50 at most, but annoying and sketchy. Word to the wise, if you pay by credit card you get charged a fee, so bring cash.

Try the Spanakopita, it is outstanding, especially if you walk in there and see a fresh tray of spinach pies on the counter? Must get it — so good. Also the lentil soup is very decent. The pizza is standard greek pizza with the fluffy crust, but tasty.

I’ve been here a couple of times and had the pizza as well as a sub. The food is definitely not bad. I’d say it’s about average. Just your typical pizza/​sub shop. It’s a very small place so don’t bring a large group and expect to find seating at lunch time. The prices are reasonable and they are pretty quick.

My lord, the pizza here is vile. The Greek style extra thick, extra crispy crust tastes like it has been deep fried in olive oil. The cheese somehow manages to be flavorless yet excessively greasy. The sauce was pasty, not fresh tasting at all, and had a bit too much garlic to boot.

Don’t misunderstand my review, the pizza was good, limited choices in the area, I ordered a slice. (As is requisite in a pizza shop) and was happy with it in every way. I should have stuck with pizza, the grilled marinated chicken came with fries or rice, I neglected to choose, and I received fries. (My mistake… But because there was a choice it wouldn’t have hurt to be asked. Again, I’m no amateur so I take the blame) so much for a healthier option. Lol. The grilled chicken was fairly dry and more seasoned than marinated. They use the standard tenders but small ones dry out quickly on the «griddle».
I finished my meal and ordered a slice to go on account I couldn’t eat the fries…
It’s the local pizza joint and I’d be happy to pick up a pizza anytime!

I came here for take out b/​c I was in a rush to eat. I brought the pizza back to my house, and it certainly didn’t taste like how it tasted the first time I had their pizza. You really do have to eat this pizza in their dining area. I remember the first time I had it… the cheese was hot and gooey, the sauce was warm, and the bread was still very soft and doughy. I would come back again only if I can eat the pizza right as it comes out of the oven.

This isn’t the type of place I frequent or would go out of my way to visit but my SO insisted on a steak bomb so we ordered one from here because it’s literally up the street from us. I was hesitant to try it but in my hunger I did and boy was it good.
Next time we ordered we added fries to the order and those were even better.
Then I got laid off and needed comfort food that day so I picked up a pizza there and a jar of Nutella at Shaw’s. Turns out their pizza is amazing too — although a bit on the greasy side.
Last time we had some friends over and they wanted to order out so we recommended Michaels. We got onion rings, salads, steak bombs, cheese sticks, and fries. Everything was to die for. Especially those onion rings.
So we’ve been there maybe 4 times in an 8 month span but each time it’s been consistent and quite good.

This the neighborhood Pizza/​Sub stop. but’s it more than that. a family owned, small storefront business, you CAN sit to eat or take out. Call ahead to order if you’re rushed for time. The take all cards/​cash. Don’t forget to tip!
It sits accross the street from either the inbound/​outbound stop on the 73 line, and accross the street from a gas station.
It IS accessible to current standards and has a cross walk pelican so you can get accross safely. their pizza is good, subs, salads, chips.
A soda/​Drink case, and extras — home made soup, spinach calzones, and rice pudding which fills the neighborhoos with the scent of vanilla and cinnamon in the good weather.
No turnover here — you see the same people there all the time, so you get to know whom is cooking your food.
The Memorial Day parade for the City of Belmont takes is rights turn at Micheal’s Pizza moving northward, as it makes its way to the Belmont Cemetary — so its a photographers dream — easy to find a place to take photographs.
It’s also accross the street from a Medical supply store and some other small businesses, a church and day care.
I’ve met people whom travel just to eat their pizza and homemade rice pudding.
Curteous, friendly, what more could you ask of your local pizza stop? reasonable prices too.

While I usually get sandwiches here, we tried the pizza a few weeks ago and it was surprisingly good. Most Greek style pizza is so greasy that the crust has no consistency, but this was not the case with Michaels (at least when it first arrived.)

The husband and wife team were working at the counter and the pizza was in the oven for just minute and it was nice and hot. $ 2.38 for a slice and a can of diet pepsi? I’m happy. Sprinkle some hot pepper flakes on top and you’ll be a happy human.
