Drew and Christine – RE/MAX Star-Carlmont

After getting a bunch of great recommendations about Drew and Christine from coworkers and reading all the great reviews online, we decided to talk with them about our house search in this crazy bay area market. Drew patiently answered all of our questions, we loved how he was down to earth and not pushy or sales-​y like some other realtors. What a GREAT choice– Drew really knows how to evaluate a house, and isn’t afraid to go down to the crawl spaces and evaluate the bones of the house. In the middle of our house search, we completely switched our criteria, and Drew and Christine gave great tips on what to look for in the new neighborhoods we were considering. With their long experience working in the Bay Area (and peninsula especially), Drew and Christine knew exactly what to look for (especially if sellers concealed major problems), and we were impressed that they had great relationships with quite a few realtors across the peninsula. Even though we had to make quite a few offers over the span of our house search, Drew and Christine were never pushy on the amounts we offered, and to help aid us, they even employed creative ways to reach out to potential sellers when we narrowed down the exact area/​neighborhood we were interested in. When we finally made the offer on the house we eventually bought, Drew and Christine helped us write an offer after understanding the sellers priorities (wasn’t the most $$). They went went above and beyond to talk to the seller, the seller’s realtor, the banks and even the appraiser in person. As for the offer itself, Christine is a whiz at all the paperwork– other realtors know their reputation and love working with them. After our offer was accepted, Drew and Christine worked hard to answer our post purchases questions, even months after the purchase! They are genuinely great people and experts at being realtors in the Bay, and we highly highly recommend them to anyone who’s interested in purchasing a home.

Drew and Christine sold our house for us in San Carlos this year. And when I say «sold,» I really mean it – we were absentee sellers from the beginning, having moved out of state already.
Drew masterfully oversaw the coordination of numerous contractors and workers to help get our house in tip-​top shape prior to sale. Moreover, he proposed a later sale timeframe rather than an earlier one, to help us maximize our results. All the other agents we spoke with pressured us to list and sell immediately, in the slower season. Drew brought hard data to the table, and lots of it, to help us make a smarter decision — and one that was not in his own direct, best interest.
When we had a minor disaster during our open house, Drew once again stepped up and got things done. Meanwhile, Christine ran all the paperwork and logistics behind the scenes for us, shepherding the whole transaction from end to end.
We highly recommend Drew and Christine. They are a great team and, simply, good people.

Drew and Christine are fantastic realtors, they took us through the process step by step and as first time homebuyers that was really important to us. They are extremely dedicated and always returned phone calls promptly. Drew is extremely knowledgeable and thorough. Christine is thorough and attentive to details. My husband and I have been blessed to have found Drew and Christine Morgan to assist us in both buying and selling homes. This review is on behalf of my husband and myself. We’ve never been so delighted to write a review of a person or business before. If we could leave 10 stars we would. Drew and Christine Morgan are hands down the best Real Estate Agents on the Peninsula. Without hesitation we would recommend them to anyone serious about finding a home. We’ve worked with other agents in the past and the experience was nothing like working with Drew and Christine. These two are class acts. Initially we were considering Belmont, and Drew drove us all over the city explaining each and every neighborhood, and the pros and cons. Eventually we settled on San Carlos and Drew was equally knowledgeable, and took us to a number of homes, and provided comparable data to assess prices.
That would have been enough, having agents that are trustworthy, knowledgeable, understand how to write a winning offer, and will spend quality time getting to know you, and your preferences. However, they took it to the whole next level. Drew and Christine secured an off-​market property for us that greatly exceeded our expectations. Once we drafted our offer, Christine made the process of handling all the contracts and paperwork seamless. We are extremely detail oriented, with many specific and granular questions, and Christine had already noted any oddities and had an answer for everything.
We secured a beautiful home, in a prime location, in a fiercely competitive market, and that is 100% thanks to Drew and Christine.
What else is unique about Drew and Christine? Drew is very knowledgeable about construction and building. We looked at one home during an open house attended by 100+ people, and Drew was the only Realtor in the garage pointing out how the concrete was failing, and saying I would stay away from this house. Other Realtors were just showing their clients the pool (which I believe everyone could see on their own). Also, they are very considerate, not at all pushy, and spend as much time as it takes identifying the right property, and answering any questions you may have along the process.
Drew and Christine are great people. We are lucky we found them, and are fortunate to call them our friends.

We were so lucky to have found Drew and Christine to help us buy our house. We’d been working with another agent and felt like we were doing all the work. As soon as we started working with them, our search became so much more focused and easy (on us.) They were incredibly good at narrowing down what we were looking for and never pushed us. My wife and I count ourselves lucky to have worked with Drew and Christine as our real estate agents, not once but three times. From our initial meeting when we were first considering listing our house in Belmont, Drew and Christine stood out among the other agents we interviewed as the most prepared, the most researched and just generally being a wealth of knowledge about the Belmont real estate market. They had great advice about how to prepare, market and price our house for sale. One of the things that impressed us most was their approach in providing guidance and information without making us feel pressured. We discovered that there were many nerve wracking decisions to be made when selling our home and they always provided us with all the information to make those decisions on our own.
Another thing we really appreciated about Drew and Christine is how «cool under fire» they both are. We believe our home selling experience went very quickly and smoothly. We think it felt that way in part because of how calmly they managed the whole process despite how much needed to be accomplished in such a short time frame (2 ½ weeks). And even when an unexpected problem did come up during the offer process (which was outside of their control) they were calm and collected. They just focused on how to solve the problem and ended up getting us an even better result. We were truly impressed by how they represented us in pressure situations!
Needless to say, we are very satisfied clients of Drew and Christine. So much so that when looking for property to buy in Oakland, we couldn’t find another agent in the East Bay that we wanted to work with as much as them!

Well, the escrow closed Tuesday on Longfellow, which was as expected a bittersweet experience. Thanks to your help though, mostly sweet!
Just wanted to drop you a note letting you know that we appreciated your excellent service and how well your experience and marketing benefited us in our home sale both financially and with the ease-​of-​sale. There are some other nicer homes in our neighborhood still sitting on the market, so we feel quite lucky in both respects!
All your advice about home improvements, marketing and pricing have been right on the money and I think that has to be a function of your extensive experience and client dedication. As it turned out, there was a ton of interest, so your price point was fairly perfect for the market.

Update for 2013:
As planned, we used Drew and Christine last year when we sold our first home and purchased a new one. They once again brought a wealth of knowledge and practical advice that helped us write a winning bid for our new home. Their knowledge of the market and great reputation with other agents really helped us. We also used them as seller’s agents for the first time and could not have been more plesed — they had practical recommendations for what to update and the connections to get the work done fast. They also knew the right price at which to list, which resulted in multiple offers that were well over asking. I can’t recommend Drew and Christine strongly enough.
Drew and Christine helped us purchase our first home and were wonderful to work with. They listened to our needs and gave us practical advice. They didn’t waste our time showing us houses that didn’t suit our needs (or budget) and focused on listings that were realistic. Buying a home can be an emotional process, so their laid back style and deep knowledge of the market was always reassuring. They also stick with their clients long after the sale closes and we came to consider them our friends. I plan to use Drew and Christine for the purchase our next home and would highly recommend them to anyone.
