I have NO patience for any of the big name shore bars. Bar a pass. headliner pass. I swear they plead to the lowest common denominator. This place is for the people who haven’t been anywhere and the only thing they have to compare djais too is other shitty shore bars. Djais will fare better once it established an identity. You can’t have happy hour and a decent atmosphere one night and then have resident dj Johnny bag a donuts another night. Get it together and stop ruining your prime real estate.

Ate here for lunch on the Monday afternoon and our server Jenna was amazing. I’m only writing this review because how awesome she was. My friend was being a little high maintenance and she handled like a pro. One of best waitresses I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. 5 Stars for Jenna.

(preface: My party is ‘brown’) So it was a slow monday afternoon(20% occupied) and our party of 7 was sat at 2 tables for some reason. after an hour of having placed our order and reminding the staff, our food came out, 1 sandwich even cold. appetizers came after the meal. Horrible customer experience. maybe we just had the wrong waitress or skin color. luckily she included the 18% gratuity so I didn’t have to figure out how much to [not] tip.

The worst food I ever had. The service was ok, not fantastic for the money you spend. I wouldn’t recommend to anybody. Waist of money.

Got turned away at the door because I am a guy wearing a tank top, yet a girl can wear a bra and walk in.

Djais is amazing but do not get your drinks from the tall blondish guy at the east bar! Literally gave me Coke with ice & a drop of alcohol instead of an LIT.

Exactly what I expected a shore club to be, except the dj being old enough to be someone’s father in there. The music was good though and the drinks were reasonable. Pretty pissed I had to pay a cover to see some girl I’ve never heard of but the crowd was fun and the music was good. Maybe I’ll have to go on a Friday instead of Saturday night if I go again.

This lovely french place isn’t for everyone. If you’re going to eat this is DEFINITELY not the place for you after 4pm. Happy hour is great, but it does get overly packed at night. It’s funny to watch the regular«benny’s» in their natural habitat. D’jais is purely meant for smiling… dancing… and shaking that ass! Don’t get it twisted :-)

Was here last weekend and it’s pretty much what you expect a New Jersey bar down the shore to be like; Loud, Packed, and Fun as F*** $ 5 mixed drinks at happy hour was the best. One thing I really appreciate about this place is the amount of bathrooms. For as packed of a place it was, I never had to wait on line for the restroom. For the outside area they had port-a-potty’s(spell check?) and they were surprisingly clean. I prefer the outdoor area as opposed to the inside, the vibe is just better.

I love reading some of the reviews on here. I’ll keep it simple. D’Jais isn’t for everyone. Go when you are looking to rage, period. It’s best to go with a big group.

The bartenders were extremely funny and made our drinks to the t!!! The environment is a young crowd who are making new memories for the summer. The music is great but gets packed quickly on a Saturday afternoon. They have an outdoor patio section, and also serve food too.

This place is scary the girls look like they all have STDS and the guys all get the needle in the butt for muscles. If you like a freak show this is the place. I would be scared to eat the food or talk to a girl her steroid X boyfriend may be lurking . Good Luck America

I have mixed feelings for this place. I love their happy hours and when its not super crowded. On friday happy hours they have a free hot buffet where the food is pretty decent! They had salad, chicken, stuffed shells, potatoes. They also had great drink specials. $ 3 for a tall mixed well drink. The bartenders were also very nice. They had some giveaways along with a good dj. However, i’ve been here when it gets annoyingly crowded with fist pumpers and its only club music. If thats the scene you are looking for, then come here, but if not– go elsewhere So depending on when you come, and what you are looking for– this may or may not be the place you want to spend your time and money.

This is hard to review. I like D’jais Friday night happy hour. Nice crowd… not too crowded at all… awesome drink specials and free food! Starting at 5pm they have $ 2 draft beers and $ 3 well drinks in tall glasses! Well worth it. I wasn’t a huge fan of all the food at the buffet but it’s free! They have a spin wheel to win free stuff as well! Good happy hour. The view from the porch and the one bar inside is beautiful when the beach isn’t crowded. If you stay Friday night or come Saturday it’s WAAAYYYYY too much for me. Extremely crowded and too«jersey shore» pump it up for me. When I was younger I used to go for Theme Night Thursdays that I loved in my twenties but could not handle it anymore. If you like crowded pump it up places you’d love this place however it is so not for me. All in all, I gave it the three stars more for the happy hour. I would have given it a one for other nights.

Great food, fabulous atmosphere and excellent staff! There is always a good time to have at this«french café» while you enjoy the oceanfront view! If you are just looking to grab something to eat without the mayhem, I suggest coming earlier in the day. Happy Hour gets very busy at this spot! Especially Fridays with the free buffet, and a chance to spin the wheel and win exclusive prizes! Sunday Fundays always draw one of the best crowds! People trickle in off the beach, and keep the party going all night long. These sunday sinners love the airhorn blowing and continue to toss those napkins everywhere. Thursday nights are theme nights, and also ladies night; drink specials all night(make sure to dress up!) Monday nights live performances by Holme. You can’t go wrong any night of the weekend if you are looking for a place to dance and get a little wild with your friends. Be prepared for late-night dance contests, and make sure you know the rules! «Rule #1: you gotta be dancing. rule #2: you gotta be smiling. rule #3: you gotta be shaking that ass. and rule #4: you can’t pick yourself!» The latenight snack bar is also open, and is sure to satisfy your drunken cravings. People are always handing out free drink cards, don’t miss out!

I grew up in NJ and then lived in the Philly area for 14 years. People always told me I don’t seem like I’m from Jersey. No accent. No big hair. No crazy nails or tanning fetish. No obsession with designer labels. And I would set those fools straight, explaining that the cast of jersey shore was mostly from ny and I never met anyone like that in NJ. And then I got a share in a shore house in Manasquan… Which brought me to D’Jais. The faux French spelling of the joint is pure douche bag genius. The music is thumping. The air horn is blowing. The napkins are flying. And the guidos and guidettes are fist pumping and booty shaking in all their ‘roided up, clip in haired grandeur. It is a sight to behold. Like going to the safari to see the animals in their natural habitat, minus the flight and the malaria vaccine(though I can think of a few other vaccines that might be useful). I get a kick out of observing the mayhem, imbibing a few cocktails, and grinding up on a stranger or two. Enjoy, but be forewarned… Something funky happens when massive quantities of fireball mix with all those supplements and hair products that makes nice normal guidos start to rage. My advice, get there early, enjoy a few hours of no-holds-barred jersey goodness, and leave before the sun goes down. Bravo D’Jais! A resounding 5 stars!

Been here many times and you have to take it with a grain of salt for what it is. NO, you will not come to Djais for fancy martinis or light music with great conversations. You will indeed most likely drink until you pass out and enjoy the ratchetness. If you are a fan of seeing 21-early 30 year olds getting crazy wasted and making a fool of themselves on the dancefloor than this is the place for you. Sunday funday is the best because it is free to get in before 5pm. Word of advice is to go in early, get stamped, and then go back to the beach. Once you get stamped you can easily go back without waiting on the ridiculous line, as it does get packed at around 630pm.

If there was an option for 0 stars I would opt for that rating however I am left to rate them. Arriving to this establishment at 1AM sober and at the age of 24, getting In was not a worry. However with a group of 5 Asian girls all except one being originally from Philadelphia they did not allow me and one friend in due to «out of state ID, need second PHOTOID». This was after they let two other of our gf in with PA id without an issue. They were rude. Had no clear explanation of why. Turned their backs on us and made racial comments knowing fully we would leave. We even had a police officer verify our id’s right outside and saw it was real and we had also just came from Tiki Bar with no issues. Terrible, rude and disrespectful meat heads at the door — be cautioned.

This place is full of Jersey Shore Wannabe’s. All the bros in wife beaters, fake tans and douchy attitudes. At some points, it actually gets funny, just watching them interact with each other. There was this girl who looked like Snooki, mostly because of the poufed up hair and short stature. A bro walked past her and yelled back«Ay yo Snooki!» in a kind-of joking way and man, this girl went Jersey Shore mad on his ass. She started cursing at him and threatening him. Her friends had to hold her back because it looked like she was about to pounce him. Hmm, seems like her behavior is quite similar to drunk Snooki too. I can go on and on about the people in the bar, but let’s talk about this fine establishment. My friends and I came here because of the huge happy hour sign at the front. Plus, we were getting kind of hungry, so we thought this place would be perfect. We get there and the inside bar area was already WAY too loud. Anyway, we asked if we could be seated for dining and they told us dining in the establishment is closed, but if we find a spot in their outside patio, we can order food there. Okay… weird how you’re not seating anyone at 6 pm, prime dinner time, but whatever. We found a place outside and sat down. We all thought we were supposed to be served because waitresses were helping out other tables. My friend approached a waitress and she told us that they stopped serving new customers and if we wanted food, we would have to get it from the take out window. Again, really weird why they would be doing this. There were like 10 servers outside just chilling and talking to each other. Why do you need so many if they’re not going to do their jobs? Anyway, we went up to the counter and they weren’t offering their full menu. Instead, we get the shitty, finger foods. My one friend wanted to stay healthy so she ordered shrimp cocktail. It costed her $ 15 for just 5 jumbo shrimp. Completely crazy. My boyfriend ordered disco fries for the both of us and they were decent. I much rather just have cheese fries, the gravy wasn’t that great. Overall, will NEVEREVEREVER come back to this place again.

SUNDAYFUNDAYYY! Begins at 11am, and its worth it to start early and get there early to avoid long lines and not be squashed by gorillas! Get yourself a nice table right by the dance floor begin those nice tall glass drinks and start the fun fun fun! Its also FREE to enter when you go in before 5pm. & you can start off with some cheap beers and drinks and I loved the frozen margaritas they made. Nice tall ice cold glass and it was gooooood! By the time your feeling pretty nice the crowd will get bigger and bigger and it will end up becoming a typical wanna be tough gorillas and caked up orange girls type of night! Where the lines are never ending to get in for the ladies and to get thru the crowd you will at least step on a couple of feet, have maybe some drinks spilled on your arm or hair and sweaty people rub up on you while your trying to get to the other side. Then its hard to get to the bartenders too. Music is great, LOUD, lots of house music and late towards the night they start playing some pop, hip hop and radio songs which is a good time but before that you will get hard house music, banging on tables, whistles blowing and of course the traditional THROWTHENAPKINSEVERYWHERE! GODJAISSSS! I prefer the Sunday Funday over any other night because I hear it can get pretty wild and crazy there. I prefer to stay away from that drama. Plus theres lots of security there huge and they don’t tolerate nothing and even when your next door having some awesome cheese fries or pizza and a water, if they even hear you talking loud or acting anything stupid they wont let you back in NOEXCUSES!
