Would give no stars if I could — drove there on a Saturday night — big banner on the door saying live music — all lights out — no sign indicating they are out of business or on vacation. Really poor not to have a message on the website that they are not open. What a waste of our time!

A good meal at a decent price. What more can you ask for? My husband & I went here last night for dinner and then to catch a favorite local band of ours. After reading the reviews we weren’t expecting much but a friend said she enjoys this place so we figured we’d give it a shot. Glad we did! We shared the calamari for an appetizer: lightly fried and tasty. The cocktails were very good. So far, so good! Dinner was better than we expected. My husband had the sirloin and really liked it. I enjoyed the pan roasted half chicken. It had a really nice herb crust; the sides were a nice complement. Food was hot, servings were reasonable in size and very flavorful. After a good dinner, we wandered over to the bar side and listened to some great music. All in all, it was a really nice night! Service in the dining room was a little slow at the start but then was fine. Although our waitress knew what she was doing, the bus kid and hostess seemed inexperienced — not bad, just a little uncertain. One recommendation would be better training for the staff on how to work together as a team. We’ll go again. I saw some good looking flatbread pizzas and a couple of burgers that I really want to try!

Went last night with my Groupon. My husband and son had the chicken saltimbocca and I had the seasonal veggie risotto. Everything was delicious. I loved the décor and lighting. There was a great band playing in the bar area also. Overall a very nice experience and would definitely return!

Wednesday, date night at Twelve. Upon seeing their menu for Date Night I thought they’d be packed. When we arrived we were the only people there. I had to go into the kitchen for someone to seat us. With no apologies she with an attitude seated us. The scrimp scampi I ordered was really quite good with an ample serving of scrimp. The wife had chicken piccata which was ok, not as good as my son makes. Meals finished I had to once again fetch the waitress who was again in the kitchen bullshiting with the staff. I can’t give these folks a higher rating. Go at your own risk.

When the bar keep takes ten minutes to say drinks and the the beer tasting are flat and the. the double 16 oz pours are flat — the. You find the entire side of taps are flat because they are not refrigerated properly — - hello… Plus they dropped beef stew which was their best dish. Their master partner left already— they aren’t focused on segregated bar sports versus restaurant which will kill them. The strip mall they are In will never allow them to be an Incontros level place. They had all of the makings but it absolutely will not happen here. Business sense equals WRONGLOCATION. Sorry 12– you lose-And soon to be lost.

Service took a bit to get started. MANY employees walked by our table without even acknowledging us, which started to bother me because I was thirsty. Once a server made contact with us, she was attentive and great. Brought waters without prompting. Always on top of our drink orders. We are craft brew people and in my opinion were priced really nicely for the variety. We both enjoyed our dinners and took a dessert home to share later and it was delicious(choc layered mouse cake kind of thing… yummy and light). I can see someone’s point about the outside signage, it does look a little odd, but doesn’t bother me really. We will be back.

I had a great experience at Twelve. Ambiance was great(not normal Bellingham), service was good and attentive, and food was delicious. I had the Salmon, wife had the lobster ravs; both dishes were perfect! The comment about the look of the outside and the sign is ridiculous. But what’s even more insane is suggesting to skip Twelve for the below average bar food across the parking lot at PJ’s.

The food is amazing! If you like a main entrée but don’t want a huge portion, ask for a side dish!

My wife and I went here today. Pretty nice place inside. It was not busy but I don’t think they are a lunch place. Our waitress was a little clunky and I think she may have been the owners daughter. We had the sriracha wings that were very good. My wife had the chicken salad that she enjoyed. I had the Mac and cheese and added the lobster for $ 8. The Mac and cheese was very good, but there was not $ 8 worth of lobster. I will still go back to try some other items. It’s a decent place when you can’t think of any place better.

I really hate to write a poor review when people seem to be trying, so I’ll give this a two star rating instead of a one star. Our server was pleasant but clearly preoccupied or not trained well. Maybe it was her first week on the job? How long should it take to get a draft beer with a half empty restaurant? How can we answer«So how is everything» when all that we have on the table is two glasses of water, one beer, oil to dip bread into… and nothing else because we are waiting for our entrée? The spiced oil that we were given to dip the bread in was tasteless The bread was heavy and soggy, which did not lend itself to absorbing the tasteless oil. My fish & chips was half good„ meaning the fries were good but the fish was void of any flavor and was never seasoned after coming out of the fryer. On that note, there was no salt & pepper on the table, or any other table nearby. I had to ask for salt & pepper. Really? My guest had the lobster roll which was like any other basic lobster roll at any other place. Lobster, mayo, and a soft roll. No seasoning. The fries(again) were good. And the coleslaw was watery and under-seasoned which would have been easily remedied if there was salt & pepper on the table. I see that some give this establishment five stars. So take my comments with a grain of salt, that is, if there is any on the table.

The bread with oil before the meal was the best. Nice selection of beer wine and specialty drinks. We had terrific service as well. The half roast chicken was moist with very crispy skin. Can’t remember having roast chicken so good. Fried ravioli and steak quesadilla were very good. A good evening all around.

I was really hoping to like this place, but it just wasn’t great at so many levels. My wife and I went early one Friday night. The place was empty. The restaurant was clean, but had no ambiance. A few pictures or plants might help. We were seated near the back and could hear all of the conversations of the wait and kitchen staff over our own. Very annoying. The food was okay. The presentation was nice. The clam chowder was good despite the absence of any clams. The fish was overcooked. The Fra Diavo was lacking flavor and was just spicy enough to cause an issue when the waitress hadn’t come around to refill our small, overpriced drinks. Speaking of overpriced, I almost fell off my seat when I got the check. I don’t mind paying extra for a fine dining experience, but this wasn’t even close to fine dining. We won’t be back.

Just ate here for the second time and the wings and chowda are a must to start with. The 12 salads are big and my wife had the spinach salad with steak added on a prior visit and it was also very good. The pulled pork Quesadillas and flatbreads are good(see my pics) first time here Lobster ravioli was also very good

I came here on May 2, 2014 for my bachelorette party with friends. I was really skeptical because the prices seemed high and honestly… it’s Bellingham. I live on the North Shore now and I lived in Bellingham for 24 years of my life, so a high end restaurant like this was unheard of. We made our reservations for 5:15 and they quickly seated all of us. The atmosphere was very nice and full of earthy tones and soft lighting. Our server was Lynn and she was incredible. We got our drinks quickly and I got the Chocolate martini. It was awesome! We got the siracha wings and calamari for appetizers which were both excellent. For the entrée I got the Lobster Ravioli which was heaven on earth. Definitely Maine lobster. Lots of seafood places here in Ipswich and I tried some of my friend’s fish and chips and it was incredible. The best I’ve ever had. They source their food locally so it’s a seasonal menu. People complain that it’s a small menu but it has a little something for every taste. I highly suggest the Lobster Ravioli I ate ALLOFIT! Portions were healthy not over the top and not TOO small. For dessert I got the Key lime/Avocado cheesecake. So delicious and refreshing. I did try my friend’s nutella mousse. Incredible. I have to say this was the BEST restaurant experience I have EVER had. I will be back even though I live over an hour away!!! Just try it!!!

At first i was a bit skeptical. Limited menu, not too many people(at around 5 o clock at night) We were here for my friends party and we wanted to have a good night out. To start out we ordered some drinks, I had the Blood orange mimosa which was outstanding. They were well priced for the quality. We had an appetizer of Fried calamari and sriracha wings. The calamari was not rubbery at all, and tasted great. The wings, while a tad small, were quite good as well. Not too saucy. For the entrée, i had the New york strip, my wife had the fish and chips. This steak was great, I ordered it medium and got it exactly as i expected. The server brought out a steak knife after he brought the steak, but i didn’t need it. I was cutting right through it with a butter knife. The Fish n Chips had a nice amount of batter on them. It’s a nice light batter, with a good flakey fish. The sweet potato chips were awesome. We also ordered a desert. The bread pudding and a smores desert. Both of with were spectacular. Some may say the portion sizes are a bit small. But if you ask me, they’re a healthy portion size. I left feeling satisfied. To me at first, the menu seemed a bit limited. I actually asked about this. They get their food locally and cook seasonal. They cook what’s available to them which i can highly respect and encourage. Overall i recommend this restaurant. Well worth the price despite what some people are saying.

My wife and I went this evening for dinner and we both have to say I was a wonderful experience. We started with appetizers. Rock shrimp poppers were yummy. For dinner I had the Burger 2 four ounce angus patties that were seasoned and cooked perfectly. My wife had the wild Salmon and said it was one of the best she’s had at a restaurant. It was all topped off with an AMAZING dessert that was ice cream flavored of graham cracker over a brownie that was already topped with marshmallow. The drinks were also worth noting as they were mixed perfect by our bartender Tory. The Manager Justin was very attentive and made sure everything was to our liking. We definitely will be back. Great experience will return

We dined at Twelve for the first time this evening. It is a new venue but was surprisingly well run. The staff was solicitous with excellent follow up. I had the onion soup to start. It was flavorful. Many onion soups are very salty. This was not. I had Spinach Salad with Steak for dinner. The hanger steak was served on the side. The flavor and tenderness was so good I did not add it to the salad. It was cooked to perfection. The salad had fresh spinach, pear, bacon, blue cheese and almonds served with a cranberry vinaigrette. My companion had the New England SeafoodChowder. It was very fresh with good flavor and large pieces of clam strips. For dinner he had the smoked chicken flatbread. The crust was fresh and crisp. He raved about the flavors of smoked chicken breast, onions, quest fresco, jalapeño ranch and cilantro. We will return and look forward to trying many other entrees.
