the service was much below our expectations. not very friendly, part of the drinks and a sandwich were just forgotten. the lunch pizzas were small but ok. the sandwich was not good because of a bad dough. the mozzarella with warm tomato salat was good. 18% tip was automatically added to the bill(we were 6 people). that was to much for the service we had. room for improvement!

Fresh ingredients and fast service– we ordered a couple of different pies to try, and each was delicious! The Cerebus was delicious, since I like spicy food, and the Yukon was so different, almost sweet. Recommend both!

A group of 9 of us had a birthday dinner for my son at OVN. I did not enjoy the food very much, but my wife tells me that I am the only one in the group of 9 that didn’t enjoy it. But then again being the one picking up the tab, I was the only on in the group that saw the bill as well. I don’t mind spending money for good food, but this was nearly twice as expensive as other good pizza restaurants in Bellingham, such as La Fiamma, New York Pizza, Jeckyl and Hyde, or Coconut Kennys. I was a bit overwhelmed with the bizarre variety of types of pizza, so overwhelmed that I ended up just going with the plain pepperoni pizza, with baked garlic added, which I couldn’t even taste the garlic. When I ordered the pepperoni pizza, they gave me a choice of standard pepperoni or the good Italian peperoni for $ 2 extra. It was already overpriced for an individual pizza, so I figured I would go with the standard. The pizza arrived with perhaps the worst, thin and lacking flavor pepperoni that I have ever had. When I took the first bite, the grease from the pepperoni run off the pizza and made a puddle on my plate. I guess that will teach me for just going with the standard plain pizza with no upsells. My son ordered the Morita pizza which was a BBQ chicken pizza with bacon, and onions. It had good flavor, and if I end up at OVN in the future, that will likely be what I order. Sharing the personal pizzas, I had a chance to try a total of 4 different types of pizza, the only one I would even consider ordering again is the Morita. If you want an apple pizza with maple syrup, this is the place for you, but I am more of a traditional pizza fan. All of the pizzas are thin crust, artsy fartsy pizzas, loaded with creativity. When you look at the prices, remember, you will be paying for their 3 ton pizza oven that was imported from Naples, which honestly didn’t look that different form the pizza ovens at the Bellingham Whole Foods. The restaurant was not very busy, however it was very loud. There seems to be something with the acoustics that it is just a very loud room. Positives: * Fun location with a decent view. * Different. * Wait staff attentive. Negatives: * 18% gratuity for groups of 6 or more. * Difficult to get a feel from the description of the pizza what might be good. * Only server their«Personal sized pizza», no option for a large or family style.

The pizza is amazing, the crust is amazing, the décor is amazing-the oven they cook the pizza in is absolutely amazing! I took my 4 year old daughter here for her birthday and it was fantastic. The service could not have been better. They even gave my daughter a ball of dough to play with, which she loved! Great thing to occupy her time while waiting for the food. I love this place. My family loves this place. Do yourself a favor and check it out. It will not disappoint

Two visits to Ovn so far and I predict many more in the future. Firstly the location can’t be beat… right off the trail in the beautiful Fairhaven neighborhood. A walk along the waterfront during sunset is both a great precursor to dinner and a wonderful way to enjoy a post dinner stroll. Both visits we ordered the mozzarella /tomato /basil appetizer. Generous serving size. Everything was fresh and they even make the mozzarella themselves. A must try dish. We sampled a few different main dishes including the Pizza. The menu is creative, enticing, sumptuous, and its challenging to choose because everything looks and smells awesome. The first trip I ordered two house special cocktails. My goodness, the bar rocks and the drinks were great. Service is warm, attentive and friendly. I highly recommend Ovn.

In comparison to other high-end pizza places in Bellingham, Ovn doesn’t really hold it’s own. They aren’t doing anything too new or different. The crust was fantastic but mostly vegetarian pizza selections, so if you like meat you have to add it or create your own pizza. The crust dippings are nice, my kids loved the honey. The décor is… strange. They are going for a neo-minimalist, industrial chic look that doesn’t quite feel authentic. Oh, and they made a weird newbie mistake of rubber banding their two menus to the both sides of a plank of wood. It’s cliché, unnecessary, and a bit laughable. I’m surprised that they were going for a hipster foodie feel but they only serve well sodas. No signature drinks, craft sodas, or interesting beverages. Overall, a good place try, but my family will probably stick to La Fiamma for gourmet pizza. and DONOT attempt to go in the evening you will never get a parking space and have to wait 45 minutes.

3 stars because the Yukon baked potato pizza was AMAZING, and the bartender was really sweet. However, the ‘Tomaat’ pie that I got was basically a few cheese sprinkles, an artichoke, and a bulk sized bag of arugula on top. Crust seemed flavorless. I wasn’t the biggest fan. Just a heads up, but you may enjoy it more than I did! Pizza came fast. Prices are higher than you see around these parts — about $ 16 for an ‘individual sized’ pizza with decent toppings. I’ll probably go back to La Fiamma’s next time.

As bland as the restaurant looks small tasteless portions and overpriced good for a gold digging 55 year old fair haven housewife though.

Easily one of the top pizza places in Bellingham. Excellent atmosphere and the Bartender/Server Carly is awesome. She knows here way around a good cocktail and can give excellent suggestions for additions to pizzas. All of the pizzas can(and should!) be customised, although I recommend trying the menu version first(but definitely get the free crust dips with it!). Before ordering you should be aware that about half the menu comes without sauce, but if you want sauce on it just ask! They love customising pizzas and we’ve yet to have a bad combo. They have 5 or 6 taps for beer/cider and some decent non-alcoholic options including dry soda(a personal fav). This place is a welcome sight in Bellingham.

Sooo. They don’t have seating for more then 4 people. they had 3, 4 person tables open but refused to put a chair for a fifth person, they offered the stools or a half hour wait to push two tables together. We took stools at pizza watch bar, pizza was good no issue there but they had a bunch of open tables and«couldn’t accommodate a small child to squeeze a child at end of table». The service was TERRIBLE!!! The supposed bartender that«doesn’t drink» couldn’t tell me anything about the drink or what it taste like, um ok. How do you know the quality of your product if you’ve never tried it. Period. And the bartender didn’t even ask the rest of our party at other end of our group if they wanted drinks, I had to ask for mine.

The ink-sketched cabin stitched with intermitten embroidery titled«cabin porn,» that hangs for sale as art on the wall here is representative of this place: an over-intellectualization of itself. Right down to the little umlaut over the O. The crust is good but the pizza I ordered was buried under a Costco sized bag of arugula, presumably to conceal the fact that there was, literally, no cheese on the pizza. Seriously I ate one piece and boxed the rest to take home so I could add some cheese to it. The lettuce in the salad wasn’t salted and we had to wait 20 minutes for someone(not our waiter, who got stuck busy behind the bar and didn’t see us again until it was time to deliver the bill) to finally get salt and pepper brought to our table. Perhaps a little less hipster and a little more service? This review gets three stars because the rosemary bread and bruscheta we ordered was very good and the pizza crust was very good. And maybe we just hit it on the chef’s bad day.

By far the best pizza I have eaten in Bellingham. It’s what I understand to be neopolitan style pizza. Fresh mozzarella made daily on the premises. Thin rustic crust with little singed areas is so light and crispy. Bountiful yet simple toppings. Great location, friendly staff. They have only one size pizza which I would say is medium. You can eat the whole thing but you enough to share between two people. You must try it .

AMAZING fresh tasting pizza! Its a bit pricier than your average pizza place but the pizza ia well above average! They have unique, fresh toppings like truffle salt and figs. We discovered that its really affordable to go during happy hour. There was a discount on beer and the pizzas were $ 5 off! Its a great place to meet up with friends for a casual bite to eat!

Ya know, I have mixed feelings about Ovn Pizza. I love that we have a new pizza joint in Fairhaven, and I must say, it was pretty good. Nice and smoky flavors, and beautifully made. The toppings were not terribly generous, but the flavor was rich. The totally weird thing is that they have the best view in town and they put their entire kitchen and oven at the back against the bayview and put their customers against a windowless wall by the front. The décor was lovely but a little dark.

Pizza so perfect you’ll think you’ve ventured to Italy, and service so quick, you won’t believe your eyes. A new face in Fairhaven’s ever growing pizza scene, Övn has created its niche. Their oven heats up your(HIGHLYCUSTOMIZABLE) pizza extremely fast and keeps the thin, crispy, streets of Rome delicious quality intact. Their happy hour is dine in only– $ 5 off a pizza. Which is actually a great deal for pizza lovers! Gluten free friendly, with options like buffalo mozzarella, or complimentary honey/truffle salt/oil/vinegar with your dish. LOVED the charcuterie plate. Tasty, unique and full of flavor. The interior is slick. Very modern industrial meets Pinterest chic– comfortable but well fit to the business crowd too. Corner location, with lots of light. They were playing a silent Halloween Movie behind the bar in October– an extra fun touch. Wine was good– well paired. Fun. Fresh. Hot(pun intended). Worth trying!

OMG! The meat! Crunchy yet succulent, salted to perfection… introducing the Cerberus: a sprinkling of fresh oregano over a tomato-kissed array of pepperoni, sopresatta, and fennel sausage, dotted with warm, gooey fresh mozarella. The thin crust was perfectly blistered, the remains of which were caressed with the complimentary dipping sauces: honey, olive oil & vinegar, and a gorgonzola that I could have drank(drink? drunk?) straight from its elegant little pot. Did I mention the pizza was a brief 10 minutes from order to table? That’s one helluva wood-fired one y’all got goin’ there! If you’re hungry, looking for excellence, and even running late, this is the place to go. Oh! And don’t forget the $ 5 off coupon offered in the Herald’s dining insert…

I heard about Ovn through a friend whose exact words were, «You have to try this new pizza place in Fairhaven. They put weird ingredients on their pizza like honey.» As a self proclaimed foodie, this intrigued me! So I headed over to Ovn on a Tuesday night at about 4pm. The décor is very industrial — open space, metal accents and old black and white movies playing at the bar. Our waiter was very helpful with suggestions and patient as we struggled to choose, everything looked so good! We ended up ordering half Artis and half Yukon. The Artis has rosemary, honey, gorgonzola and salami. I was nervous initially about the addition of the honey but our waiter assured us that it actually paired really well with the other ingredients. He was definitely right! The sweetness from the honey paired well with the savoriness of the salami. However, the pieces of rosemary were cut a little too large for my taste. The other half of the pizza was the Yukon, which basically tasted like a baked potato on a pizza. Yum! The crust was soft and airy with the perfect amount of crisp. Other Unilocalers mentioned that the crust was burned and it was to a certain extent but I didn’t mind. I just wish they would have taken advantage of the amazing view of Bellingham Bay. But I will definitely be back to try the barbecue chicken pizza and skillet chocolate chip cookie!

Best pizza in Whatcom county. Best charcuterie plate, and fresh mozzarella salad. The dough is naturally leavened. Makes it easier to digest, they do have gluten free as well. They use quality ingredients, everything is well worth the price. Will be back for sure.

Hooray! I am the first reviewer! My husband and I came here for dinner really hoping for a stand-out original pizza, and Ovn delivered nicely. We ordered the mozzarella salad first, after our helpful bartender suggested it.(We sat and ate at the bar). They have a special twist on the usual caprese salads found elsewhere… they pop fresh cherry tomatoes in their pizza oven for a few seconds, then add them to the fresh, in-house made mozzarella, with basil and balsalmic. It was wonderful, For pizza, we ordered the Tomaat and Artis. The salami used on the Artis was phenomenal! The crust is so delicious, chewy and authentic. It’s reminiscent of sourdough, without the sour. We were told the owner brought a centuries old culture home from Napoli! We were getting so stuffed, but our bartender said we have to try a chocolate chip cookie. I wish I had caught his name, he was delightful! We ordered one, and it is a huge 4″ salted cookie, fresh out of the oven with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream. It was to die for! Great experience, friendly staff, minimalist interior. We thought it was odd that Ovn didn’t take advantage of their South Hill location and have a bay view, but there is really only one spot for the wood-fired pizza oven to go without smoking out Fairhaven and the tenants that live in the floors above. Go check them out!
