Famous House of Pizza

This is really good pizza! We ordered a hamburger pizza and a house salad. The salad was big enough for two people and was fresh and delicious. When the pizza came out it looked like a thick crust. On the contrary. The crust is reminiscent of a sourdough and is light, airy & the bottom is thin and crispy. They use real hamburger meat and not processed balls of yuck. So, I would imagine that all the other topping are just as good. The whole time we were there the dining room stayed full and the front was packed with people picking up orders. It looks like a family run business and they were very friendly. I would recommend this pizza place over any other place I’ve been to in Mass. It for sure is way better than any chain pizza place you could go to. They also have subs and pasta and other things that looked just as appetizing as the pizza was. I don’t think you can lose by going here.

This is hands down the best pizza shop around. We’ve tried them all and always go back here. They’re wings are the best I’ve had. Be prepared to wait sometimes. There is usually a line.

I love it here the service here is amazing they treat you like family. The food is really good, I recommend pasta dish is my favorite. The place is very clean and welcomed.

Simply the most amazing pizza I have ever eaten!!! Loved the prices and the owners Maria and Angelo treated us like we were family. If your in their area, you should definitely go by there to eat and enjoy Maria’s company.

Ordered two large pizzas done just a little burnt which gives the cheese a perfect crisp. These guys are amazing. Revised my earlier 4 stars for perfect timing and the addition of baklava to our order. Yum!

Amazing food! Amazing owner/​staff! You can’t go wrong with this choice. Prices are good. Food is amazing. Grilled chicken salad is to die for. Oh and for the other review on here which complains about waiting 25 min for a grilled chicken salad, well duh the chicken is cooked fresh before added to the salad… Just saying ;-)

This is a classic Greek style pizza. Yes — there is some obvious signs of oil, etc. but I’m a fan of olive oil and just good food and good cooking. Any family owned and operated place that puts out a consistent product is high on my list. I got a small pepperoni pizza — and it was cooked perfectly. The crust is flavorful, light and a bit chewy but not too chewy… golden brown on the bottom and the crust is nicely done with a few bits of slightly burnt cheese — which I really like! There is more pepperoni on this small pizza than I have had on a large from another somewhat favorite nearby place… so there’s nothing wrong with that! Also I love eggplant and a neighbor where I’m staying said it was the best eggplant they had ever had — I ordered a small eggplant sub «grinder» and it was really good. It was very flavorful and very good — I’d order it again. I’m so glad I tried this place.
The only other item (s) I’d like to be able to get here is a classic Gyro with a really good made inhouse tzatziki sauce and hummus with homemade pita and it would be off the chart good! But don’t let that stop you from trying this place for yourself.

I have NEVER had a take out mistake there ever! We go 3 – 4 times per month for greater than 7 years! The food is great! Great pizza, subs, chicken fingers, pasta, salads! Very friendly staff, and I agree, it takes a little while, just know that and plan ahead.

My hubby and I and our family have been enjoying the food here for over 27 years. Would not go anywhere else in town for their pizza, sandwiches, and fries are the greatest. I have to have their baklava always. Yummy! The family that owns this place is friendly and outgoing! Love them like family! Love you, Sweetie!

I have been going here for my entire life, this place is nearly like a second home to me. All the workers are great, and value the customer immensely. Do not regard some reviews of people concerned about the health of this place, they value the well-​being of the customers and treat them like family. Those that complain about them doing things like not wearing gloves, are to germophobic in my opinion.
Continue to support this place as it values its community more than it values itself!

Have been patronizing this establishment for as many of my 31 years as I can remember, they are practically family. Solidly good, towny pizza shop.

Subs are okay if you eat them there, but bring the home and they are a soggy mess. Salads are a bit overpriced and the mediocre pizza is a greasy Greek style. Nice people, mediocre food. It would be one star if the people weren’t so nice.

As for food quality I find the Pizza, Subs (meatball esp.) and their grilled chicken salad to be incredible.
Sometimes they take longer for pick-​up then they say they will during peak Friday night and Saturday nights. I actually think they’ve improved on that as well.
Maria and staff are as friendly as they come.

I dont like this place. If you want better pizza and subs, go to Primos, down the road. I mean they are fine for greasy pizza, but their subs are just meh. And that other person is wrong, their buffalo wings are not good.

Been going here for about 5 years and never had a complaint. Small Greek family owned pizza joint where they always remember their regulars. The food is excellent (a good amount of grease on the pizza for the grease fans. Nothing a napkin wont fix for everyone else.) The prices are good, and they always have homemade Baklavah.
The one thing I could see some people not liking is that the mom is very personable, and will sometimes come out and sit with her regulars and talk. They are greeks so they talk and they talk loud. If there is a Boston game on, it is on the TV they have there.
Also outdoor seating if the «Talkative big family» vibe isn’t your thing.
A little trick I learned. If you stop in to order take out (maybe it’s on your way shopping, etc.) and there is a long line to order (Friday night, Sat night), call. It’s funny to watch them pick up and take your order from right outside. Almost as if your cutting the line.
