I have gone through several chiropractors in the past 10 years and I find that Dr. Kobata is pretty efficient in his service. I use to come here to see Dr. Black but since he has moved his practice to the other side of the lake, I went to another one introduced to me by someone. Since I have moved my business south, I have found my way back to WellnessOne of Eastgate. I am particularly fond of their decompression chair to help my stretch my back out along with my exercises from my Personal Trainer. Their prices are pretty reasonable for the care they give. I especially love their in house care payment plan. For a certain amount a month, I am able to get unlimited adjustment. I recommend their maintenance plan highly.

Dr. Kobata and his staff are wonderful. The treatments are very good and his recommendations are sound. You get the sense he really cares and it shows because his staff are, without exception, happy and long-term. He has really built a sense of community, and with such friendliness, I can say that I feel one of the family there. Massage therapist Jason Cruzan is very good and a caring and witty person. I’ve referred a friend and she had an excellent review also. You won’t be disappointed!

At the age of 71 I have seen many chiropractors. Koki Kobata is by far the best I have ever been to. He truly has healing hands and a heart for helping people get better. You will walk away from Dr. Kobata feeling better and that you have just met a doctor that is truly interested in your well being not his bottom line. He IS the best!!!

Dr. Kabata is a great and friendly chiropractor. I enjoy the conversation with him. Not to mention his great technique to adjust my spine back to right alignment after my sport training. The staffs are friendly and it is easy to schedule my appointment with them.

Most frustrating office I have ever been too. Checked in on time, was put in a room and waited for 30 minutes without anyone checking in or letting me know they were running so late. Then when I decided not to wait any longer, since no one could tell me when I would actually have my appt, I received no apologies, except ‘I am sorry you feel that way’. I will definitely find a new chiropractor and will never step foot in this place again. Between the rudeness by the receptionist and the lack of professionalism by the chiropractic team, I am looking for a new chiropractor.

Dr. Kobata and his team are incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive. His professional manner is caring and promotes healing, which is a great addition to his excellent knowledge of how to help heal someone. I have been going here on and off for 8 years, starting with Dr. Black, and I have referred several people.

I visited them regularly for more than 2 years to recover from a car accident. Dr. Kobata and all of the supporting doctors were great and were very comprehensive. The whole massage team and office staff was great. I will return anytime I need to and will continue to refer them to my friends and family.

I’ve been going to Wellness One of Eastgate off and on since about 2007. I find that the people they have there are always top notch. Over the years there has been a frequently rotating cast of people working at the front desk, but it never seems to matter because every single one has always been friendly, intelligent and competent in their position so the transitions always feel seamless. The primary chiropractors there, Dr. Kobata and Dr. Black, haven’t changed since I first started going there are both absolutely outstanding. There’s a very holistic feeling there that I’ve certainly never experienced in a visit to a primary care doctor, dentist, etc. I’ve also had some of my best massages there. They do get tripped up on billing /payment /admin type of issues from time to time, but being a frequent patient, I usually see these as growing pains usually resulting from an upgrade in their system or a learning curve on trying to better their business. I cannot foul someone for that and the type of personal care and attention you get there by far outweighs any glitches in administration.

I went to WellnessOne for care at the recommendation of family on the Eastside. Dr. Kobata was indeed helpful but recommended a longer term treatment plan and accordingly helped me find a more convenient chiropractor in Seattle. Fast forward 18 months and I receive a notice in the mail informing me I have a balance due and they are sending my account to collections. Not a single call, email, or letter in the 18 months in between and they’re ready to damage my credit. I had paid every bill presented to me while receiving treatment and have no interest in withholding from the doctors what they deserve for their work, but this is truly terrible customer service. And to top it off, their billing department keeps shorter and more irregular hours than the regular office so it took 3 calls to actually get someone on the phone to resolve the issue. Nothing against the doctors working here, but take your money elsewhere…

Ok ~ though the massage therapists are good, the billing department is extremely frustrating. I just got a bill for services from October 2010(and yes, it’s 2012)!! I’ve had to call their billing department multiple times to get my insurance sorted out. It’s very difficult and I have since changed chiropractics(I now go to Vitality) because it’s been a huge pain to get them to process my insurance correctly! 2 years later I’m still dealing with this hot mess!

I got a groupon for this place a while back, so I A) wanted a massage, and B) felt obligated because I paid for it. When I walked in, I stood at the front counter for over 10 minutes, with workers walking back and forth past me(not one of them acknowledging me). Oh, and I got to hear about another patient’s family drama with her niece and her awful relationship that involved kids, etc. Not quite the way to start out what was supposed to be a relaxing massage! After I finally ASKED one of the people who worked there if I could check in, I was told she didn’t work for the massage side, but she at least tried to help. When a massage therapist addressed me, he started making excuses for why one of the receptionists was gossiping instead of helping me! As for the massage: the entire thing was too hard(despite repeatedly asking my therapist to use less pressure — some meds give me a lower pain tolerance), and I could hear everything going on the hallway AND other massage rooms — hardly an environment conducive to relaxation!!! I would definitely NOT recommend this place to anyone who wants a relaxing massage or adequate service.

Came for a 60 Minute massage with a groupon deal. 5% paperwork, 65% talking/chatting, 30% massage of what you came there for and paid for. I did not get even any relief of my pain. Its more about chatting. I tried not to talk but I do not want it to be awkward because the massage therapist wants to chat. It’s not worth going there. It was such a waste of time going there and a waste of money.

I’ve been going here off an on for about 5 years for three different injuries. I can’t say enough about their flexibility when it comes to my schedule, the follow up and sincerity of the Dr.‘s, staff and massage therapist. Dr. Black and massage therapists Cori and Jason are amazing. They provided me with referrals for other therapists when I was working out of the state for an extended period of time after a car accident so I could continue care. The clinic and everyone in it is an advocate for my overall health and wellbeing. The money I’ve saved on prescription and non prescription pain relievers, time away from work, special pillows, heating pads etc. more than makes up for the co-pay and the cost of massage. I have had 1 – 2 billing issues(Insurance denials related to the other parties insurer) during this time but it was always worked out very quickly with their billing specialist the same day. They are easy to do business with in my experience.
