Walmart Neighborhood Market

I was expecting and looking for a «regular» Walmart, but I guess the name Walmart Country Market should’ve tipped me off. It was more of a beefed up grocery store than a Walmart. They had some of the usual household items you’d find at Walmart, but a very condensed selection.
I got a few of the things I needed, again because it was more of a grocery store I needed to go somewhere else to find household items on my list. I did pick up a bunch of food, so that was nice. Cheap as always. I definitely won’t be back since it is not near my house and I’d prefer to go to a full-​sized Walmart.

No clothes or electronic at this store. But great location right by the gym and many local restaurants.

Slowest checkout I have ever experienced. On multiple occasions, I have gone in for a couple of items in with time crunch. Plan on ten minutes just for checkout, self checkout or not. The store is usually empty and they will have 5 checkout lanes open, all with lines of people. It blows my mind.
They call this a neighborhood market, yet there is no bakery or deli on-​sight. What it really is is row after row of processed food with a tiny (and overpriced) produce section.
Save yourself the hassle. Go anywhere else.

I came a couple days ago to our local wal MART in Bellevue wa. I had a terrible experience when I was waiting in line for an associate, for appropriately 12 min just to get service. I don’t recommend people to shop there unless you have an hour to spare for a purchase of only one item. I think people here should be re trained, or they need to hire more associates oh by the way, their star rating should be at a –5 but I’ll be kind and give them 1

There’s nothing sexy about Walmart. In fact, it’s one of those places that I kind of dread going. The parking lot is always chaotic – most people are really parking at the gym next door. When you first walk into the automatic doors, it’s really bright. There aren’t any shopping baskets, and the carts are outdoors with the front part facing the door (meaning it’s super inconvenient to put back shopping carts the right way by the door, so most people don’t even bother).
I don’t get my produce here. Or a rotisserie chicken, even though they get gobbled up by others. Where did it come from? They don’t have a deli or bakery, just aisles upon aisles. This is where I come to fulfill my boyfriend’s sweet tooth and dry foods like chips.
Walking around the store, it’s kind of depressing. Every time I’ve been there, there’s been lots of areas out of stock. The store itself isn’t necessarily dirty, though. What I do like is that based on the season, they have a huge display by the cash register of convenient thing you may need (BBQ supplies in July, baking supplies in winter, etc.).
Note this location is not 24 hours, and the customer service department closes before the store does. On the bright side, there’s always lots of coupons (go to Ibotta and look at Walmart rebates to get cash back). Walmart consistently has low prices (even though Grocery Outlet’s prices are a little lower).

I agree with the other posts that the shelves go unstocked. In typical walmart style 1 cashier. Easier to go through self check. A lot of the items we purchase are cheaper at qfc and of much better quality. Also typical to walmart you are not going to actually get someone to help you. Parking is awful. The way thier carts are set up so far from the door makes it hard for us with limited mobility. If you are just looking to pick up a couple items and you are already in the parking lot then this store would be adequate.
We switched to thier pharmacy because my boyfriend doesn’t have insurance and he can get the 4 dollar prescriptions. It is unfortunate because almost everyone in the pharmacy we have dealt with has made it a very unpleasant experience like how could you bother them. With the total lack of customer service we totally get why there is never a line or anyone else there.

Ugh what a nightmare! Long lines. Under trained staff. No idea what they are doing. I asked to match a price and the entire system shut down! I asked the cashier to ring up my other items first since there was a line behind me, but instead she pushed her button calling for a manager. When the manager came she couldn’t figure out the problem and brought over another printer she tried to install which didn’t work either. I felt bad for the guy behind me with only a couple items since I had a big cart of stuff already on the turnstile. We were re directed to another lane. The only reason I go here is because I work out next door… Every time I go here it’s an incompetent employee who does not know their job

Went to this Walmart Neighborhood Market for grocery shopping and found everything I wanted/​needed.
As I’ve never been here before I needed some time to figure out where everything was but at least I found everything and paid not a fortune for it.
I mean, it is a Walmart.
Prices are good, the aisles are huge with a big variety of items to choose from (I liked the mexican imported stuff) and it was peaceful and quiet (Wednesday morning).

The usual Walmart but I was surprised there is no clothing. Produce quality was low, but prices are great.
Appreciated there is self check out although it could be much slower than regular check outs.
No parking issues and this is easy to get to.

It’s a Walmart.
The aisles are huge, the prices are low, the staff is nice. Quiet but nice.
I found all that I needed and was in and out in about 30 minutes.
The layout is a little funny. There are aisles going to the right and left and then up and down… so you really need to know what you are looking for and where it is. I found that odd. But otherwise… all good in this Walmart hood.

A great store to find my Southern staples such as Luzianne tea bags, Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, and Chicharrones pork rinds. I wish they had more cashiers, the few lines are so long.

A typical supermarket run by Walmart. The grocery and produce sections takes up a good portion of the store. Prices may be lower than other stores at times. The kitchen section at the back of the store was messy. Limited selection on certain grocery items. Customer service was sub par.

Something to remember about this particular Walmart is that it’s basically just a grocery store, with some homeware/​houseware items too. Good grocery selections overall, inexpensive too. Clean, including the restrooms. The quality of the checkout clerks varies from 2 to 4 stars (thus my 3 overall), it’s unpredictable… but I keep coming back.

I was not surprised to see the star count for this branch is so low. I had dinner at a restaurant nearby, went over to buy some bottle water. During checking out I noticed that the cashier made a mistake of double checking an item and deleted the wrong one. I checked the receipt before leaving the store and confirmed the mistake. I went to the customer service, the lady refunded me without an apologize. Even this is a tiny mistake, it definitely shows the poor quality of customer service and the management.

OK… I am done with THIS store, and WalMart in general.
I work near this store and because of that have shopped there — but I’ve had enough.
The self-​check lanes don’t work very often. They only have ONE check-​stand open (usually… well, at times I go there anyway). Their employees are under-​trained and often just not very nice.
I realize that many of the people who HAVE TO work at WalMart are not otherwise employable. That keeps wages in check for the Waltons. It works for them.
But this philosophy does not work for anyone else — ANYONE else, not you, the customer, not their employees, not the community, no one.
I’m done.

This Walmart is definitely sparse at best. I went on a Tuesday evening and they literally ran out of jalapenos. I’m not sure how that’s possible but they did. They also have a very small selection of items. So you have to expect that you’re not going to find everything you need at one location. It’s a good thing that Factoria is close by with an actual Wal-​Mart and Target to help stock up.

Get a bad «vibe» here from the get go. don’t think prices are all that great (Find better deals at Fred Meyer, Winco Foods and Target).
* Can never find an employee for help
* Store seems depressing
* No butcher on duty or anyone in «Meat Dept» (just a cooler on side of an aisle) to ask questions of, get something specially sliced, etc.
* Produce: Bad selection. Oranges and bananas sold at a price «per each» not by pound. Did not have things I wanted: Eggplant, Fresh artichokes, fresh Basil. Produce they had looked tired and old. $ 2.49/lb. for apples was more than at my local Safeway
* LINES AND LONG WAITS: Only ONE cashier on duty at 4pm on a weeknight. a time many people start getting off work and dash by the store for dinner.
** Then after waiting in line for a long time, you have to bag your own groceries.
The Good: They do carry a few brands, flavors of things that other local stores do not. They have my Campbell’s Cream of Onion condensed soup– no one else in the area carries it… plus some salad dressing, hot sauce and other things I can’t find anywhere else. But really, I feel their prices just are not that great overall.
Store sells school supplies, greeting cards and some other stuff. Don’t like the layout of the place, and it just seems depressing to me.

I stopped by here after dinner at Kukai for some quick groceries. I always thought Walmart was the cheaper of the big box all purpose stores. I’ll restrain myself from getting too into the politics of Walmart and why I would think its a cheaper store.
Anyways, I thought wrong. Have I been spending too much time in Asian grocery stores or something where I think broccoli for something like $ 2.50 a lb or $ 1/​lb of cabbage is way too expensive? Produce at QFC and Safeway is cheaper and higher quality. Also, the wine section is terrible and its nowhere near the refridgerated alcohol which would seem logical. In fact… its not even in the grocery section!
This place feels depressing and for a Walmart, its actually pretty small. Don’t expect to find lots of clothes or house stuff here.
My biggest pet peeve though is that when I was looking for items, I couldn’t find ANYONE nearby to help me. The store is huge and there was no one walking around! (This was on a Wednesday evening.) I walked around 3 times by myself looking for tofu and wine. I did not interact with a single employee until I hit the self-​check out. In fact, I think I saw about two employees’ actual faces and the back of a couple heads.
Go to Fred Meyer instead. I won’t be back.

I am in the process of moving, which is difficult with all of the holiday festivities going on. I came here after viewing the lights at the Botanical Gardens hoping to find some basic needs for my place… but I left empty handed.
First off, this Walmart sells pillows but no pillow cases. You’d think they would stock both right? There were hardly any linens, Xmas related gift wrapping items, no electronic items, a limited kitchen items aisle, gardening… basically it seemed more like a grocery store as oppose to a one-​stop shopping center.
I definitely will not return to this Walmart.

After almost 6 years of living in Bellevue, the space once occupied by a Kmart store has finally been filled by its main competitor, Walmart. Walmart today had a grand opening of a Walmart Neighborhood Market store at Kelsey Creek Shopping Center. This is not a full scale Walmart store offering plenty of general merchandise. Rather it is primarily a grocery store.
Think of this store as Fred Meyer lite. The grocery selection is better than the supermarket offerings at Target stores in the area, but it doesn’t have an in-​store deli or bakery like Freddie’s. Though there are bakery goods and hot items like fried chicken and rotisserie chicken. Fresh meat selection is okay and marginally better/​larger than the selection at Target.
There is a limited selection of general merchandise on the right side of the store, which includes some electronic goods. There is also a pharmacy which is known for offering $ 4 generic prescription drugs. And if you buy an item online at
, you can have it shipped free to this store for pickup.
Pricing is competitive, but it is not hands down cheaper. I will still continue to shop at other grocery stores for sale items. And definitely when it comes to the selection for specialty produce and fresh meat, it would be better to go elsewhere for more choice. I don’t think I saw any fresh seafood here, so no go for that. I did find the produce selection for regular items like bananas, tomatoes, lettuce, etc. to be good and well priced.
What I do like here is that there seems to be a number of brands and products that I have not found elsewhere in Bellevue like Wolfgang Puck pasta sauces. And actually was surprised that they had so many varieties of Spam here. I have never seen Jalapeño Spam before.
As for parking, it was bad. May be because it was opening day. But since a new LA Fitness next door also brings in traffic, I feel that parking is going to be tough if you are going to shop here on the weekend or peak hours. I may need to walk down to the store instead to avoid it. Fortunately the store is open 24 hours. So go at an off-​peak hour if you want to avoid the parking rush.
Though there has been objection to Walmart opening this store, I am glad that a retailer has finally decided to take the plunge to fill this long empty space. Walmart Neighborhood Market will be one of the grocery stores I will regularly shop at, but not the only one that I will be visiting as not all my needs are filled here. It still makes sense to shop around.
