You know, for a place that is built around a happy event, like buying a present for someone, the owner’s attitude leaves a lot to be desired. The place is full of home decorations, high end stuff, and well selected. There were two people working there and the one helping us was wonderfully cheerful and quite helpful. The other person there made the experience quite sad. We got there, thought we shop for something for a friend’s housewarming party and maybe spend some time in the area. The place around this shop is packed with other shops and hard to park. They had a parking spot in the back which is where we parked. We then went to get a coffee next door at a coffeeshop. We come back, look around and browse. In the mean time, our car is blocked by some other car. Fine, we figure someone had parked behind us for a bit, we’re not in a huge hurry and shopping in this store. Maybe by the time we want to leave the other car is gone. We shop and are done in like 20 minutes. We start to leave and the car is still there. We tell the shop people, looks like someone is parked behind us. The answer is that«oh, that’s YOUR car?» and the owner takes her keys and proceeds to go to the blocking car. It was hers. We said, «yes, we were grabbing a coffee next door before coming in.» Their answer is «oh, well, our parking spot is only for when you’re shopping in our store. You know we pay for that spot…» and some annoyed looks. Really? To someone that just bought stuff in your expensive store? What if I hadn’t found anything we actually liked? Can’t even imagine what her response would have been then. Way to ruin a perfectly good experience. What I expected was an apology and a maybe some face-saving excuse that you parked there for just a second. I would not buy anything there again. If you don’t like customers, why be in business.

Only the best from Veritables and owner Marie. Truly has the eye and should be seen as not only a fantastic place to shop for décor, but also the place to go for design consulting work. Marie knows design and Veritables delivers.
