Nice restaurant! Good food! Great cocktails! There isn’t big variety of meals to choose from; however, most of whats in the menu is really yummy! ;)

I love a place with plenty of dessert options. They have many and it is very good! Quick service. Good food. Good wine selection. It is definitely a better option for dinner in Bellevue. I will be back!

Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Excellent food. Excellent wines. Excellent service. One of our favorite places to sit and try new flavors, well worth the drive in :). I can’t think of anything they could do better, other than staying open later :).

Was in today for my bachelorette party. It was so delicious, and I loved that I could easily get GF food(doc’s orders) and there we’re even desserts too! Lovely server who was fast and helpful. A really great time. Can’t wait to return to try something else !

Interior of this café is awesome! From the chairs to the napkin rings, feels like in the castle ! Wine is pricey, most wine bottles are $ 80+. I tried their baked Brie starter, it’s enough for an entrée though, it’s very reach and baked in the dough, comes with 3 crackers and few chopped grapes. It says on the menu that it should come with nuts, but I guess they forgot to put them there, I didn’t find even one tiny nut there. Cool ambiance, average dining . It’s so similar to the” lot 3″, which is next door, design is almost identical, they don’t even have a separation door or something, you can just walk through it and bounce between them. I wonder if its the same owner?

Great place for book club happy hour! Especially if your book club does more eating and drinking than discussing the book on topic! You just can’t go wrong with a sangria and trying nearly every small plate on the HH menu! We had the housemade spreads, calamari, mini-baked brie, veggie meatballs, both types of pizzettas, and the truffle mac ‘n cheese! Just thinking about the food here is making me ask«when does HH start again? Soon, right?» To answer that question it’s from 3−6pm daily! I have nothing negative to say about this lovely wine bar. Next time I will have to try the wines if I save room for any!

Maybe it’s the weekday ambient and that I’m with a bigger group… but it’s definitely a lot more fun and the appetizers are much better. The calamari is much better but the sauce was not too good. The cheese plate with fig/apricot compote is great. See my new photo additions of Split Pea Soup, Kale Caesar Salad, Lamb T-Bone, and the Chocolate Hazelnut Torte.

I used to love their BLTA sandwich and tomato soup but they have tweaked it such that I no longer want another. First they changed the bread from ciabatta to some strange new bread and they hardly put any avocado on either of our sandwiches. We first came across this at the Woodenville Purple but was told that that was a local change. I guess it global now. In addition they changed up the tomato soup to roasted tomatoes and replaced the olive oil topping to rosemary. Not as good to me. I will say they put a good amount of bacon on it. Probably won’t come back for the BLTA again.

This review pertains to happy hour. I was pleased they offered outdoor seating for happy hour, rather than just having it at the bar. We had the dates, mini brie, fish & chips, mac & cheese, and bruschetta. We should have opted for the appetizer Brie as this one was much smaller and cost nearly the same. It’s delicious, but very mini. The bruschetta and dates were just ok. The fish was great and it was the best bang for the buck. The truffle Mac and cheese was very good, as was the summer white trio. Service was really good for the most part — can’t complain. They also validate the super expensive parking at Bellevue Towers. I’d be back on a nice day if in the area.

Absolutely incredible! Service! Food! Wine!!! Ambience!!! Nothing could have been better!!! I made a last minute reservation for me and my mom at 7:30 on a thursday… no problem. We arrived early and the host offered we wait at the bar where we ordered some champagne. After 10 minutes, we were seated at a nearby 4-top. I can’t recall the gentleman that helped us, but he was fantastic! His suggestions were spot on when we mentioned we wanted red wine AND cheese. He chose a red wine flight and a 3-cheese flight. He also timed our entrée to come out wonderfully. We decided to split one of the specials: Halibut. Oh. My. GOSH!!! Thinly crisp on the outside, not burnt in ANY way… nice and tender on the inside. The dish really accented the flavor of the fish. It sat on top a vegetable medley and delicious sauce that didn’t overpower the fish. My mom and I ate slowly, careful to savor every bite. Can’t wait to come back!

Came here for a dinner reservation for eight for my friend’s bachelorette dinner, and I can see why people come here for date nights and special occasions. The atmosphere looks and feels kinda hoity-toity and impressive, and the service satisfied my expectations. Other than waiting a strangely long time before our server greeted us(considering we had a reservation), our server afterwards took excellent care of us and was SO knowledgeable of the wine selections! I would’ve been so lost without her help! My only other minor disappointment was that I had expected my kale salad to have a bit more, y’know, actual kale in it, but it was still delicious, so oh well. Next time I’ll have to try one of their more signature entreés.

Goodness Purple is one of my absolute favorites. The atmosphere is incredible. So much Brock, no iron detailing. The bar is also just a delight. I also love the serving staff, everyone be is polite and shares their honest opinions about dishes. I have had multiple dishes and absolutely everything has been amazing. I love their Veggie Burger. Purple also has parking super close to their establishment, and convenience is really Important to me. * I also picked up from their catering menu for my baby shower and everyone loved it!

My sister had her birthday party here with a large group of friends(on the 1st of march) They were able to fit us in last minute and made sure our experience was relaxing and enjoyable. Never once rushed us, even when there was another party that actually made reservations after us. Very sweet & classy of them. Also my first time to purple… and my god! the food! amazing.

I will love Purple Café until my death! The Bellevue location is one of my favorites for it’s design. Unlike the other locations, they offer more secluded seating(which is great for first dates or special celebrations) and they have a very pretty bar area. Like the other locations, I’ve always had top-notch service and great food experiences, both for dinner and happy hour. And if you love wine, you can’t beat their selections! Parking is also validated.

They have obvious spent some money in their interior design. I felt fancy when I walk in. Really extensive wine list and the mushroom soup was great. But we lost our server/bartender for a bit and the travel and adventure flight with a Germany wine that was way too sweet. Price reflects the rent of this building too… for sure

We’ve had dinner here twice and have been very pleased both times. Tonight we had the clams as an appetizer, followed by the lobster roll for me and the maple braised lamb shank for my husband. The clams were delicious in a Thai style coconut curry broth. The lobster in the roll was a generous portion and tasted very fresh. The lamb shank was fall-of-the-bone goodness. Prices are not low here, but given the quality the food we enjoyed, I would definitely come back again. Service was nice and quick. Every person who interacted with us, from the front counter to the waitress, were great.

I love the wine selection here and the different wine flights. The happy hour prices a fairly good, I don’t know if I would come here otherwise. Seems a little on the pricey side. I got the Earth red wine flight while my boyfriend got the sweet white wine flight. Both were great, and I enjoy they always give you a card of what you are drinking. We had the Cheese plate, sweet potato fries and clams to share. The sweet potato fries were good, but nothing special. I loved the cheeses, I just wish they had told us what they were. A blue, goat and sheep I think? And the calms were yummy, in a curry sauces, somthing I had never had with clams before but would reocmmmedned. Overall, nice place, but unless you go for happy hour prices and get really expensive.

I came to eat at Purple for a friend’s birthday and it was definitely a very fun time! We had made a previous reservation in one of the semi-private areas of the restaurant so the noise level was definitely quieter than if we were sitting in the general area where all the other tables were. Our waitress was very attentive to what we needed, especially since our party arrived at the restaurant at different times. She allowed us to order a couple of appetizers prior to our whole party arriving and by the time everyone got to the restaurant, our appetizers were ready and served to us. The waitresses also provided the birthday lady a couple of «sample tastes» of the wines she was contemplating on ordering. What I also appreciated the waitress in doing was taking not one, but several pictures of our whole group. She was considerate enough to ask us if the pictures she took were acceptable and asked if we wanted any pictures retaken. I fully appreciated this since many waitresses at restaurants simply take one picture and walk away. I’ve been to all of the Purple restaurants around the area(i.e. Kirkland, Seattle) and Bellevue in my opinion is the nicest of the restaurants I’ve gone to. The space is absolutely beautiful and seems to have more space inside than the other locations. I look forward to the next time I dine here with family and/or friends.

The space is beautiful, just like the Seattle location. If you like cheese and wine, you’ll like Purple. This is my go-to restaurant when people want to meet up in Bellevue. It’s a good spot for a fancier business lunch or happy hour with the girls(bubbly and cheese plates, what could be better?). Portion is generous and the food is solid. Everything I’ve tried here has been good, although nothing has been particularly memorable. They validate parking but the Bellevue Towers parking garage is a clusterfuck with only 6 parking spots. Okay, there are more than 6 parking spots, but this is a really poorly designed parking garage. The parking spots are limited and tiny, and the parking ticket dispenser is located on such a sharp angle from the entrance that it’s pretty damn impossible to get a ticket without extending your entire upper body out of your car window. Okay, rant over.

Wow — what a great experience! I stopped by for dinner with a coworker last week while we were attending a conference in Bellevue. First off, the restaurant is stunning — I love how they display their vast selection of wine and really like that you can buy a bottle to take with you for 40% off the bottle price on the menu. The food was fantastic too — we tried the albacore tuna and the chicken marsala with mashed potatoes and broccolini. Everything was so fresh, flavorful and downright tasty. To finish our meal, we opted for the housemade sea salt caramels… oh my, were they ever good. I wish they would sell these«to go» at 40% off the menu price… if so, I can’t tell you how many I would have bought. Our server, Calvin, truly made the experience. He is polished, professional and knows the menu and the extensive wine selection. He helped us pair our wine accordingly and even brought out a couple of extra tastes for us too.

I’ve been going to purple for years now, and my favorite items are the lobster Mac and cheese, cheese plates and desserts! They also make great cocktails and have an impressive wine selection. I also like their lunch specials where you can get a half sandwich with soup or salad. This location is connected to Lot 3 and you can order menu items from either restaurant. Simply put, purple has classy food items and Lot 3 has the comfort foods. I recently had the pistachio bread pudding and it was to die for. I also really enjoyed the baked Alaska. The must have here are the cheese plates served with the best crackers on earth and a delicious jam! The Brie and Humboldt fog are my fav cheeses. You can also order Marcona almonds and green olives on the side — highly recommended. Favorite cocktails here are the sazerac and the purple sunrise. Park in the Bellevue Towers for free parking validation.

The lunch combo of two items for 14 dollars is a good value. There are a variety of things you can choose from however the selection has never changed out of the times that I have visited. I ordered the arugula and quinoa salad with leek soup. It was a very light lunch and nicely down. The portion size may not be sufficient for the gentlemen but both my coworker and I enjoyed our food. She ordered the purple chopped salad with blta sandwich. She thought that the purple chopped salad would be purple but it’s named after the café and not the color. Overall a solid place with reasonably priced menu items for a sit down lunch.

The lobster mac and cheese is a must when coming here. I’m not a mac and cheese lover but since there were so many recommendations I thought why not. I ordered the small plate and once I tasted I was disappointed that I didn’t get the large portion so I can have leftovers. It was so good. You can taste a hint of truffle and the lobster was fresh and flavorful. I also had the calamari for my appetizer. I didn’t really read the description of how it was prepared so I was surprised that I tasted five spice in this dish. I really wasn’t expecting it as it is not one of the spices I like. But it was not bad. It also was fried perfectly. I tried their sweet wine flight. It included a Riesling from Mosel, Germany. I ended up ordering a full glass of this wine because it was so good. I was full but ordered salted caramels and a ricotta cheesecake to go. Service was very attentive and it was not at all stuffy and pretentious. I loved the experience here and I will be back.
