I always get the same thing… Beef bibimbop… yeah… butchered the spelling but it’s sooo good for fast food. I work near so i really do enjoy the closeness and fast food aspect of this place. too bad it’s close

After trying this place’s Korean tacos I became a fan. Having kimchi and Korean bbq in a taco is just heavenly. It’s a shame that they closed.

The Korean tacos were a nice change of pace from my normal rotation of Chinese food, mexican food, pizza and burgers. I tried both the pork and bulgogi tacos — personally I preferred the beef but the pork had a nice kick… and if that’s not hot enough for you, it’s served with a nice spicy kimchi hot sauce too. Service was poor — maybe it was just the«I don’t care because our last day is tomorrow» thing — but not a single table was wiped down in the whole place. I get bus your own tables thing to cut down on staff, but you at least need to send folks out to wipe off the tables. I mean, the place wasn’t even busy(we were only the 3rd set of customers there). Gross residue from other folks’ meals. YUCK. We had to ask someone to wipe off a table and she was all attitude. She wiped off our table — but left all the other tables untouched, leaving the poor mom w/kids who came after us to fend for herself. Too bad this place is shutting its doors tomorrow. I think I would return if they improved the cleanliness.

Basically overpriced chipotle style Korean place… Good for a quick meal — but at this rate, I’d rather find a Korean place to sit down and eat. Still, I find myself coming here from time to time. :)

I really wanted to love this place. The concept is so great, especially as there isn’t much in the way of Korean food in this area. But the execution is really the problem here. The bibimbap is just not very good. It’s served luke warm to cold with a variety of vegetables including romaine lettuce. I mean really? Let’s put aside the fact that traditional bibimbap does not have romaine lettuce in it. The real issue is why would you add it? It’s totally bland and does not enhance the dish. I can see if you wanted to do more of a bibimbap salad, but that’s not what this is. The meats that go into the bibimbap are equally disappointing. The bulgogi is too fatty. The chicken looks terribly sketch(it has a greyish brown tint to it). I haven’t tried the tacos, but as they’re made with the same ingredients, I think I can confidently say that they’re little more than a lame attempt to piggyback on the latest food trend. Roy Choi would hang his head in shame. If this place wants to succeed, they need to use higher quality ingredients and work on turning out HOT, tasty food. If I were them, I’d look to the excellent CHAM Korean Bistro in Pasadena, CA( ) as an example of Korean inspired fast food done right.

Oma Bap is a way to get your Korean fix fast! Living on the eastside, good Korean food is hard to find. And even though I do venture up North for the authentic Korean BBQ, Oma Bap is an excellent way to satisfy my cravings and tie me over until I can get the real deal! Love the fresh veggies, the option for brown rice, and the perfectly cooked runny egg on top of the Bibimbap! Also love the fact that they have a stamp card! I’ve come here a countless amount of times mainly for lunch. Every time I go, I tell myself I want to try something else, but I always end up getting the same thing time and time again! Bibimbap!

This little Korean fast food joint was surprisingly good, with fairly generous portions for a decent price. There were two of us. We had the bi bim bap, japchae, and some tacos. Honestly didn’t really need to get the tacos because the other two would have been sufficient. It’s an order-at-the-counter kinda joint. Service was quick, the way you’d expect it for«fast food». Was nice that they have a small parking lot too.

My coworkers raved about this place and finally took me here. They have a good selection of Korean dishes here. I wanted to try everything, but so far, I have tried the bi bim bap, kim bap, mandoo potstickers, bulgogi, and the kim chi fried rice. The bi bim bap was probably the worst out of everything I tried, I usually like bi bim bap but this one just didn’t taste right for some reason. I got the kim bap with spam and it was delicious! I want to try the other ones but that one is just so good so I’ve gotten it both times I’ve been here. The mandoo potstickers were average, they were good but nothing too special. Bulgogi was average as well, but a little sweet for my taste. The kim chi fried rice was soo good! Out of everything I tried, I would get the kim bap and kim chi fried rice again for sure, but I’d be interested in trying some of the other things on the menu too. It’s definitely a great lunch spot, it’s quick, cheap, and yummy!

I tried this restaurant yesterday after reading the Unilocal reviews. I love Asian food so I am always trying new places. I walked in looked up at the menu and was immediately assisted by a gentleman who thoroughly explained the menu to me and was very patient with my decision making. He was very nice! I sat down to wait for my take out order and I don’t think I was even waiting two minutes before it was done! Then another gentleman came out to my seat and handed me my food! He said that he hoped I enjoyed it and wished me well. The fact that he didn’t just yell out my order was nice but the politeness received was even better! I get home and dig in to my dinner and it was amazing! So yummy and perfect. I was a little skeptical because it was by far the cheapest takeout that I have had in a while but it was up there with the best! I am so pleased with the service that I received and even more so with the quality of the food! Can’t wait to go back!

Saturday night, hungry, and have been meaning to try this place out… Especially since i live a stones throw away. The service was fantastic, the employees and owner were very helpful and quick. The food was delicious and fresh. Bowl of goodness. White rice, bulgogi beef, carrots, & egg. Yum! Id recommend, if you havent tried this spot yet, give it a try.

Oma Bap? How about Oma Nom… nom nom! I don’t want to be one of those Americans that know nothing about authentic Korean food, but I really don’t. I’m sorry! Whenever I go out with my Korean friends for food, I just point and drool with no attempt at learning names of entrees or anything just because I’m afraid I’ll just butcher it. Luckily, for me, this place offers two things that I HAVE come to know as some of my favorite Korean noms — bibimbap and kimchi(and kimchi pickles). Some might say this food is just average compared to the other Korean restaurants around town, but my tastebuds like what they like! Korean food enthusiasts might give me a funny look like when I walk into Chipotle and say, «I loveeeee Mexican food!», but whatever. And actually, this place reminds me of a Korean version of Chipotle(P.S. I love Chipotle). The menu is a little limited, but if you pick the bibimbap, they ask you similar questions like they would if Chipotle were going to make you a burrito — what kind of rice do you want? What kind of meat? How would you like your egg cooked? They also have self-serve dispensers for water and hot tea, which are complimentary. The dining area is kept pretty clean, too, and after you order, you can sit down and they’d bring your food to you. And they are fast, which is great for my grumbling appetite! My favorite order is always the bibimbap with any kind of rice, a sunny-side up egg, and bulgogi. I also order the kimchi and kimchi pickles. Then I drizzle my bowl with hot sauce for a spicy tasty explosion in my mouth!

Their service is pretty good, the owner is always nice, but their female servers seem a bit rude. I come here quite often, first reason being I used to go to the high school next to it, so it was a common lunch place. The decorations are quite nice and their tables vary in different sizes it’s good for any party to come in. Their chicken is usually very tender and the size of it definitely worth the price you’re paying for. When there is a kids meal ordered though, they never give you the juice unless you remind them a few times, and it depends on the waiter too.

My hubby and I are staying in Hyatt for almost a week now. While he gone for work, I have to find something to eat or entertain myself during day time. I was so sick of going in and out to a big dinning restaurant everyday. So I done my Unilocal reviews, I found this place was interesting. And The place was close by where I stayed. The concept of this restaurant is like PANDA express service BUT in KOREANVERSION. At first, I was confused how to order but lucky me, I had nice service for a guy who took my order. Usually when you think of KOREAN food, you will think of many side dishes that always come along with your order, big portion which sometimes not good if you have no company. At this place offers you an easy, quick meal but still good. I ordered my BIBImbap pork and KIM-BAP a Korean rice rolls(togo) My spicy pork was well-balanced but my rice was a bit cold. So I wasn’t happy for that. All the spicy sauces they weren’t spicy enough for my tasted. On the Korean rice rolls was standard. But the service was good and friendly. Good news, there’s even free barley hot tea!

I really like this place. Sometimes you just want some bibimbap that’s not all super fancy… no need for a stone pot or all that(I understand some people never want that, but after eating inauthentic bibimbap for four straight years of college, sometimes it IS all you want!) This is quick dish Korean, and the ingredients are fresh and tasty. I love that they have generous kids plates, and the owner was very friendly and accomodating as well. I’ll definitely be back for my bibimbap fix. So far, this is my favorite replacement for the now deceased Tokyo Garden version.

Just when I was thinking that I was surprised there were no Korean restaurants in downtown Bellevue and then this one popped up. I like that it’s ‘fast food’ — pretty no frills regular Korean food. I’ve tried the bibimbap and the regular plates too. The meat’s all pretty good, right amount of spice for the spicy pork. Of course cos it’s «fast food» the bibimbap isn’t in your stone pot but I actually don’t mind personally — I know everyone always loves the crispy rice at the bottom but I actually don’t care for it so no loss for me. The portions are huge though so you get a lot for your money but it’s impossible to finish. Overall love that this place is around and it’s also clean with TV’s :)

First time here and first time having Korean food since moving back to the pacific northwest. DH and I decided to stop here before heading back home(we live in spanaway and sat in traffic for over a hour and a half!!) and I’m really glad we did! Bulgogi Bibimbap– Good portion filled with lots of veggies. They don’t put a lot of rice which is actually okay since it’s so filling. I went with their mild sauce which is really good, but also too sweet! I added in their hot sauce which evened it out. Original Kimbap– We ate it plain without dipping it in any sauce and it’s very bland. Spicy Pork Tacos– I’m a huge fan of my Kogi spicy pork tacos, but these are pretty good too. Do not add their mild sauce unless you want it to be spicy/sweet pork tacos. Bulgogi Meal– Comes with a side salad and 2 pieces of mandoo. My husband didn’t like their bulgogi that much… says it’s bland which is a bit of a disappointment since we also ordered EXTRA meat for $ 2.45! Their mandoo is really good. I’m not sure if it’s freshly made, but it tastes just like my favorite frozen Chinese dumplings. Overall, very cool concept. The girl who rung us up was nice and helpful with our questions. Store looked clean and organized. Too bad this place SOFAR or I could be back constantly!

Oma Bap is not fast food Korean, but rather Korean food made fast. It opened up in Bellevue a year ago in a space that was previously occupied by Baja Fresh. While there have been some changes in interior décor, the layout essentially remains the same. The menu here is somewhat limited. Don’t expect the large menu of a full-scale Korean restaurant as this concept is not built for that. The fast casual menu here sticks with offering a few Korean dishes including Korean sushi, salads, Korean meat/protein and rice combos, japchae(Korean noodles) and the signature dish, bibimbap(rice dish with vegetables, meat/protein and egg). They also have a couple special items like Korean tacos and kimchi fried rice. I decided to get a spicy pork bibimbap($ 6.95) with a side order of miso soup and kim chi($.95). When ordering bibimbap, you also need to state what type of rice you want along with how you would like the egg prepared and the type of sauce you would like to mix the dish with. I decided to go with white rice, a sunny side egg with some gochujang(hot chili sauce). Even though this is a fast casual spot, I actually liked the bibimbap very much. Portion size is pretty good for the price with a good mix of meat and vegetables. There did not seem that much rice, which is alright by me. The miso soup is typical, nothing special. The kim chi was okay, though I would probably skip it next time since the gochujang packed enough heat already. Comparing Oma Bap to a full scale Korean restaurant is like comparing apples to oranges. It is not the same. It would be fairer to compare Oma Bap to Chipotle. Obviously the cuisines offered at both are different, but the execution and pricing is similar. Oma Bap is a nice spot for a work lunch or a quick Korean meal in Bellevue. It is reasonably priced and the food is good and fresh.

I came here to expect a restaurant and saw a little more upscale fast food joint. The place looked hip and clean. As I sat down, there is sticky table top. The food was very average and boring in taste. Well, I followed the Unilocalers and gave this place a chance. Been there and done that and probably will not come back.

I’m dating a Korean girl who cooks so that should qualify me as quite the authority on authentic Korean flavors *end sarcasm*. But in all seriousness, if you’ve ever thought of combining fast food and Korean food together, Oma Bap is what you’d get, and I don’t mean that in a bad way. What you get is literally«fast service» Korean food. Nothing that’s completely blow your mind amazing, but they don’t get the flavors wrong. While the bibimbap and the kimbap were pretty average, the kimchi fried rice was great. The kimchi used tasted like it had been left to ferment for ages. I’d definitely eat here again on a short lunch break, but without the stone bowl for the bibimbap, if you’re looking for something a little more special, there are better places. Service: 5⁄5 fast if it’s not really busy. Décor: 4⁄5 Clean and simple. Food: 3⁄5 Passable, but not memorable. Fun Fact: oma bap is Korean for mom’s rice.

I’ve been waiting to try this place for months but never had the chance until last night! My friend and I arrived an hour before they closed. I ordered the OBab. As a kid, my mom used to make it with a lot of vegetables and I’d add ketchup on it. The OBab tasted good either way(Not as good as my moms, of course). I’m not sure as to what the sauce was, but it was sweet and good to my liking. It also came with salad on the side which made a good combination. My friend also ordered the BiBimBab. Surprisingly, it tasted good as well. There was a good amount of ingredients and the spicy sauce made its mark! Now, I was a bit skeptical because I always eat Korean food either at home or at the actual Korean restaurants. But this place has done a good job. I like the idea of how its a casual, fast paced place. The atmosphere is very vibrant and gives you a «Korean feel». I wouldn’t mind coming back next time!
