Michael’s of Bellevue Hair Salon

This is a review of Christine the facial/​waxing person, not the salon itself. My mom bought me a package of 3 signature facials from Christine for $ 99. When I went in for my first facial, Christine said her facials were $ 90 each and the gift certificate was a mistake. I offered for her to buy the certificate back, and she did– she offered me a free eyebrow wax. I knew I needed it, so I agreed. She waxed down onto my eyelid so far, that I have swelling and bruising. I posted a picture from the day after. It was much worse yesterday. I would not buy anything from this woman nor would I ever get my brows waxed from her again. Also of note, this was not my first eyebrow wax, I ha d waxed dozens of times and am accustomed to redness. This is a whole new level of pain and discomfort-​I wish i had not agreed to the free wax.

This salon is amazing! I saw Michelle for a cut and color and she did exactly what I was hoping for. I came in with ideas and she talked with me about the possibilities and made my hair beautiful! Friendly, comfortable atmosphere. I highly recommend this salon and Michelle!

Michelle did a cut, dye and highlight for me and I absolutely loved it. I normally do my own hair because anywhere I’ve ever gone has messed up my hair BAD. I’m really choosy with my hair because it grows so slow and takes forever to fix. Michelle did an amazing job and the prices are amazing too. Everyone there was so friendly and open, I felt like I knew everyone for a long time from the moment I stepped in. The store has a lot of natural light too so you know that what you are getting will look the same when you leave. Absolutely in love.

I had booked a facial with Christine through groupon. Though I would not question her technique, I was not pleased with the way she pushed services and started doing a different facial other than the one I had purchased for and then charged me 35 $ extra. My groupon entitled me for a 60 $ facial, while the one she did was of 90 $. I ended up paying way extra than I had planned for.

Elizabeth is simply the best at color (foils) there is. I have been going to Elizabeth for close to twenty years and couldn’t be happier. As a bonus, I always love the cut and style I get with Elizabeth at Michael’s of Bellevue Hair Salon. Kudos.

The owner was really nice. But the stylists were ridiculous. If it was my salon I would fire all the stylists and start over. I had Jennifer who was rude and didn’t do what I asked (because she knew what I wanted more then I did I guess) And through my whole appointment talked non stop to the other stylists about everything under the moon (even when she was washing my hair! Weird). One of the other stylist had her shoes off (gross feet) and the other one was doing her hair getting ready for a date this was Saturday afternoon! The busiest day in every other salon! These stylists need a kick in the butt! I couldn’t believe it. Very unimpressive. I won’t be back

I really enjoyed my facial with Christine at Michael’s. I had a Bloomspot which got me the seaweed facial and a microdermabrasion. She was very knowledgeable and threw in an extra treatment for me at the end which made my facial an hour and 15 minutes long. :)
If she had a deal (Groupon/​Bloomspot) again I would go in a heartbeat.
FYI: Parking is valet only in the Belletini but it’s complementary with validation.

I found Christine through RueLaLa. She’s WONDERFUL! Her facials and expertise have helped clear up my skin problems that medical dermatologists had given up on. This is my new «go to» place for any skin care. Christine Do is so good, even my husband noticed!

I have been coming here ever since I moved to the Seattle area.
A lot of people wonder why a guy would go to a salon. I used to frequent those «guy» quick cut places until I received a haircut so bad, I wore a hat for months.
I also started dating a fashion designer who turned me on to what a true stylist can do for you. Ever since I have been going to to more upscale salons and have never been happier or looked and felt better.
I was very happy when I met Sue, she was friendly and had excellent opinions about my hair. I always like to leave the styling up to the professionals and she has always come through for me.
Best time is to come after work when they will go next door and get you a beer from the happy hour place next door to enjoy while you get yourself styled.

I’ve gone to stylist Susan King for 13 years. She’s great at dealing with my crazy curly hair. I’m so glad she’s now at Michael’s Salon. But now Susan has left Michael’s to open her own salon in Bellevue’s Factoria area. Find her at Susan King Salon!

Love love LOVE this salon!!! Perfect downtown Bellevue location, free valet parking and you can have drinks delivered from the bar next door! I went in yesterday for a color and extensions with Chantal, and she was fantastic. I’m not a hair stylist and I don’t always know what to do with my hair… but she knew exactly what color and cut would look great! Amazing service and attitude, I knew I had to write a Unilocal about it :-)

Sadly they claim to have an esthetician. But she doesn’t show up on time.. Her serivce is mediocre. Sorry Sara Romines– you need to learn to get up on time and get to work.
I thought it was great to have someone within walking distance. Not so great if you don’t come to work. She is not there enough for last minute appointments.
Disappointed.

I want a stylist who has opinions, but also who does what I want!
Elizabeth is the best at color! She gets right down near to the root and she leaves me looking natural.
Plus!!! The cocktail bar next door delivers!!! Schedule your haircut during happy hour and enjoy an appetizer and a glass of wine!

Michael’s Salon & Spa. Wife is addicted and I’ll tell you why.
Even before Michael’s moved to the swanky new location, The Bellettini, this place was hot.
My wife’s stylist Elizabeth is amazing, I know, because I see the results. She is truly a color specialist, with skills that could fix any mastercuts monstrosity. Her precision with the sheers is inspiring, sense of style amazing, and her personality is lighthearted, witty and warming. The wife would recommend her to anybody and always look forward to every cut!
My wife said there are a lot of people standing around but at least they’re easy on the eyes. Admittedly, Elizabeth has become her drug of choice. And like all her favorite drugs, it’s expensive, classy and as I said before… She’s addicted!
