Went there for graduation dinner. Service really poor. Food was terrible. Will not ever eat at this restaurant again. Plan on calling health department in the morning

Nothing I would write home about. I thought the food was rather mediocre and on the side of not good. Prices are reasonable but it didn’t match up to taste factor. We ordered a family style meal for four people. You can pick four dishes and it includes soup and rice. I think we paid about $ 65, which included tax and tip. We picked the green beans with beef, pork dish, vermicelli rice noodles with a type of melon, and fish and corn. The green beans were okay. I think the beef was the best thing I had that night. The fish and corn was very doughy and wasn’t crispy. Flavors were off too. The pork dish was okay in flavor but it had a lot of pork fat so you’re not actually eating a lot of meat but just the fatty portions. I was kind of mad about this. At Chinese restaurants, this is a standard dish and when you bite into it, you expect to eat meat and not 55% fat. I kept spitting out the fat, which is unappetizing to do. The other decent item on the menu was the vermicelli noodles with melon. It had great flavors and the noodles tasted very rich(probably made with some kind of fat). The soup wasn’t that good. It was mostly broth with small bits of meat. The ambiance was nice. It was quite spacious and the waitress was attentive. The food, however was below par.

Very rude service. My husband and I were first in line by five min ready to be seated. Another couple walks in behind us and was seated before us. A waiter looked at us and said, «You’re next.» Then, another man walks in, waits a few minutes and he gets seated. It appeared he knew the owner given their conversation. His wife/significant other walked in five min later to join him. After a 20 min wait, we walked out and will never return. Our rude service was blatant.

Too bad this place sucked so bad. We use to always rave about it. First off, service was horrible. We waited forever even asking the servers that we were ready to order. They kept saying ok and eventually did come. Then we waited over 30 min before some of our food came. The chicken was all red and bloody. I showed the owner and he said ok then took it back. 20 min later, the same chicken came back way overcooked like they just flashed boiled it. Therefore, chicken ruined. The fish we ordered was supposedly 1.6 lbs, however when we flipped the fish over, it was half fillet off. Again, they claimed it’s normal. So we paid $ 35 for ½ lbs of fish. An hour in, our stone pot rice never came. We checked and they said the kitchen never made it. We were like don’t bother. We looked in the kitchen, again only one chef working. Funniest moment was when we asked the waitress to take a photo for us. Her reply was her hand shakes therefore she can’t. Yet she is serving us hot tea and food? There definatly is something shady here. They use to be fast and most of there staff left this garbage place. Just be warned!

Writing this while I am still standing in line waiting to be seated. We were second in line to be seated, and a group of people just walked in and got seated. They didn’t cross off any names. It’s pretty messed up. We’ve been waiting for probably half an hour… we could have been sitting and eating if they didn’t seat the group that didn’t even put their name down. I haven’t even had the food yet and I’m sick of the place already. Horrible customer service.

In the recent months, whenever my friends & I have a lunch meet-up, everyone of us has always suggested this place. Their Dim Sum are probably the best on the Eastside right now. Quantity is limited at times on weekdays, so if you see something you like, get it right away before they sold out for the day. Also they have fine customer service which is important to us! And it the reason that we became their loyal customers. Their Dim Sum ladies are not pushy like other restaurants, instead they patiently explain to you about the Dim Sum with a REAL smile on their face. Nowadays, restaurants that last are always those ones that have both good food and fine customer service. Surprisingly not every biz care or understand!

If you want Dim Sum in the Redmond/Bellevue Area this is the place to go right now. Everything else has gone downhill so fast its sad and while I not liked the place at my first visit over the years it has improved so much and is only getting better. The service, while at times hectic, is very good and makes fun of themselves. The dim sum is the freshest around the area and has a very god variety. Off the cart or off the menu, anything is equally good.

Super BAD customer service! Definitely will not recommend. We went on Friday and ordered a dish that the waitress recommended, and it turned out doesn’t look like what the waitress described, so we talked to them about our concern. Their attitudes were SORUDE and the waitress even gossiped about us with other waitress in front of us!!! Also no one check on your table and no thank you when you leave. They made you feel like you’re not welcome at all. We had been living in Seattle for more than 10 years and we had never been treated like this before in other restaurants. Definitely will not go back again! Bad experiencing!

I haven’t been to this restaurant for about a year and a half because I read this restaurant was closed down due to health hazards. Recently some friends told me that the restaurant had new owners/management and the dim sum was very good. I was in the area last Sunday so I stopped in for take out. I ordered bitter melon and beef to go. It was very tasty and cooked well. The quality of the beef was very good cause it was so tender! Bitter melon was cooked just right, I cooked some white rice when I got home. I was able to have three meals out of this one order(dinner and two lunches). I will try their dim sum again soon. The wait staff took my order promptly and was very courteous.

I have tried the Dim Sum and it is the best we have had in Bellevue. It isn’t the same menu as Dim Tau Fung, it is good you can eat every day. It is well made and balanced with flavors. I will be back to try more of the menu. I am at about 4 ½ out of 5 stars right now.

Would definitely recommend this place as it is so far the best on the east side. They do care about their food, but need more on the selections.

My parents were in town a few weeks back and they wanted to have some dim sum while here. Since I was working, this had to be a restaurant on the Eastside as there wasn’t enough time to drive over to Seattle. The options for dim sum on the Eastside are limited and haven’t really gotten much better since I moved here almost a decade ago. I am of the opinion that there is room on the Eastside for a solid Cantonese dim sum restaurant in the Crossroads/Overlake area. Though Dough Zone has picked up some of the slack for Shanghainese dim sum eats. The only(open still) dim sum place on the Eastside that I have visited was Noble Court which I found to be quite overpriced. Top Gun in Factoria is a popular spot, but has struggled with food sanitation issues. And then there is King’s. This eatery has been in business for quite some time, but the Unilocal review score had deterred me from trying it out. But then I read some of the recent reviews for King’s and I noticed a lot of them were positive. There was a mention of a change of ownership recently so I decided to try it out to see if they were legit. The restaurant is located at a strip mall called Plaza 520. Parking is quite plentiful here. Upon entering the restaurant, I was surprised at how elegant the interior furnishings were. It was nicer than many of the dim sum restaurants in the International District. The dim sum here is served cart style and servers will also come through the dining room with dim sum trays to see if you are interested in anything. Most of the dim sum items offered here are marked as large on the dim sum check. Very few fall in the small or medium category. There was a bit of a wait for the dim sum cart to come through. Feeling hungry, we just started off getting a few items from the dim sum tray selection as they came to our table. Tried six dim sum dishes and I have to say the dim sum here is quite good. On par in quality with the dim sum at the top places in the International District like Jade Garden and Harbor City. If I had to pick a couple favorites, it would be the chive pockets and fried taro puffs. Their Malay steamed cake also stands out as it is super soft. In addition to dim sum, we got a Xiamen fried vermicelli($ 10.95). I thought this was the only misstep of the meal. The dish was edible, but the sauce they use is a bit unusual as it tastes like these noodles were doused with sweet and sour sauce. The price for the meal was quite reasonable. $ 42 after tip for three people. The dim sum itself was quite reasonably priced as the large dim sum were $ 3.40 something only, which is now considered to be a decent price nowadays. Though there was a bit of a wait for dim sum, overall I enjoyed my dining experience here. The recent reviews for King’s dim sum are legit. Though I am sad that this restaurant may be judged by its star rating, which is a shame since those bad scores were mostly earned by the previous ownership. And because I believe this is the best Bellevue dim sum restaurant right now.

We eat here on Sunday’s and the have really good. Dim sum. But this review is for the something else. Yesterday 10⁄4 Sunday we were eating at 3pm. Somehow I dropped my wallet but didn’t realize it till 8pm. I looked everywhere and finally I called here. THEYFOUNDIT. !!! When I came to pick it up everything was still in it and they had it locked in there safe. For that I’m giving them 5 stars !!

I’m not picky with food quality as long as it’s edible. However, this wasn’t the case at King’s. King’s has a brand new owner now. I’m very disappointed. The previous owner was polite and the food quality was so much better. We came here on a Friday night at 7pm and the restaurant wasn’t even busy at all, which says a lot. The service was terrible. The waiters completely ignored us and we waited for 30 minutes before we could order. The food quality was disappointing. The menu didn’t change much but the quality went down a lot. I also came here with my family for dim sum a couple weekends ago and that was the worst dim sum ever. DONOTDONOTEVERORDERHOTMILKTEA — it was the nastiest milk tea I have ever tasted in my entire life. I’m sad that this place just isn’t the same anymore.

If I could give them zero stars I would. The worst customer service ever, so rude it’s unfathomable. Never have I ever been treated like this before with my family even though we used to come here tons and tons. The food is a hit or miss depending on who’s the cook. Dim sum here is poor. With a lack of Chinese restaurants in Bellevue, eat if you want.

Drive all the way from beacon hill to try this place at my parent’s request. There are a hundred Chinese restaurants between home and there, conservative estimate, so these Unilocal elite stars are going to be hard to earn. But earn them, they did! We shared about 10 dishes between 6 adults plus 1 toddler and 2 babies. Everything was really good! I particularly enjoyed the clams, steamed fish, soft tofu and roast duck. Very well priced, too!

I’ve been to King’s many times and always enjoy their dim sum. Today was a little different. Our party received great service, the food was delicious and we were pleased with the experience. When we received the total, I went up to the cashier, slipped a cash tip into the jar, then paid for the meal with my credit card. I then went back to the table to wait for another member of the party to finish. As we left, the cashier and a waitress called me back to explain that I had not put a «service charge» on my payment slip.(I’m guessing they meant a tip?) It’s very possible that they didn’t notice me putting a tip into the jar, but I was so surprised and taken aback at being so publicly and pointedly asked for a gratuity that I put down an extra $ 5 in cash and left. I’m in favor of leaving tips for service, as I know how hard everyone works at a restaurant. So being publicly called out as an apparent cheapskate was particularly embarrassing. There are other places to get good dim sum in the greater Seattle area; King’s was just the most convenient. For now, though, I’ll explore some other local options and give my bruised dignity a little time to heal before I’m ready to return.
