For a looooong time, shopping at an Hermes boutique — whether in Paris, Milan, Manhattan or Moscow — was an exercise in patience and annoyance; the whole«Pretty Woman» attitude — which was on display regardless of how much money you had or «who» you were wearing — got old quickly. Luckily that’s changed, and now it can actually be fun to shop for a fabulous luxury bag, accessory or piece of clothing. I love the new Bellevue boutique, and I especially love Megumi, the wonderful Selling Specialist with whom I’ve worked. Although I’ve been shopping at various Hermes boutiques around the world for more years than I’d like to admit, because I travel frequently and shop in different countries, I’m not a «preferred shopper» in most Hermes’ systems, since each country(or region) keeps different records. So although I haven’t bought 4 Birkins, 7 totes, 11 scarves and 18 outfits in the US, Megumi was friendly, helpful, incredibly knowledgeable, and followed up with me like a pro. In my book of sales associates — from multiple high-end brands, boutiques and luxury department stores — she is a true superstar, and I will return to her whenever I have a «need» for an Hermes gift… for myself or someone else.

One of my favorite stores. Their refillable silver cologne bottle sits proudly in my bathroom. You get what you pay for.
