Harold’s Lighting Bellevue

If you are seeking a rude experience with worst in class service at super high prices this is the place. Seeking service? Find another place. Reasonable prices? Move on. This place blows.

Omg– this place is ran by rude people. I came in and asked for parts to fix my lamp. Instead, this young men threw me with «No! We dont fix lamp and no parts available here!»
I have not even finished explaining the problem. So bluntly unprofessional!
I went to Seattle Lighting, they treated with respect and even got free parts!
Never ever go to this place!
By the way– this is the second review i did. They purposely restarted a new Unilocal review because the other one has 43 bad reviews! What a scam!

I just swung by on Memorial Day Saturday and was quite impressed. I had a lamp that needed a small repair. It took him less than 1 minute to find the replacement part and when I went to pay him he said it was on the house. It is not often that one can find great service at no cost — so they have earned my future lighting business! Love their crystal chandeliers!!!

My wife went to Harold’s with an old lamp and asked for an estimate for a repair prior to having any work done. Unfortunately, they decided they would ignore that request and fix it for $ 120 without her permission. She paid it but wants to make sure you don’t find yourself in the same situation. You may want to find someone else to fix your lamp.

I am very happy to learn of Harold’s lighting store in both Bellevue and in Seattle. The designer we work with recommended them when I asked her where I could get lamp shades made or to match our existing shades. We also had to get new shades for several lamps, so it was a great find and we were able to solve all of our lighting issues! We were so happy to learn that they make their own shades, the quality is excellent and they do custom work. We bought 13 new lamps shades (several were custom made) and they all look fantastic! They were quick and each time our order was ready, they called us right away. I had one lamp repaired and it took less than a week (which was less time than he had originally estimated). I am very happy that there is a company that specializes in lamp shades and repairs. Now I know where to go and where to tell my friends to go for this service!

I got quick, polite and reasonably priced service today. I’ll definitely return and will recommend to friends.

I had 3 lamps that needed their sockets replaced due to moving across the country. I took them in & was told they’d call me when they were done. Two weeks later, no call. When I called to check status, I was told they weren’t done yet & that they’d call me. Two more weeks pass, I finally get a call saying they were done. When I picked them up, one of the lamps was still wonky so they fixed it while I waited.
New sockets for 2 floor lamps and 1 table lamp with a 4 week wait — $ 191. Where I used to live (in FL), this type of thing would have cost more than half what I paid to Harold’s and it would have been done in half the time. If I patronize Harold’s again, it will probably be to have a lamp made, as this seems to be their forte, judging by the prices charged. For basic repair, better to find someone else. Two stars for lackadaisical service and overcharging. If they hadn’t fixed the wonky socket while I waited, i would have given one star.
