Just ordered sweet and sour chicken and general Taos chicken for a delivery. Sweet and sour chicken sauce was so extremely sour and consistency of the meat was off too. General Taos was okay. It was disappointing.

I really like this place. I order the beef and broccoli and their fried rice is simple and very good. They deliver quickly too! I used to live in Philly and always ate Chinese food in China Town… I thought this food was comparable to the Chinese I had there.

After spending 30 mins on the phone with a guy who spoke broken English, my order got to me after a little over an hour. The delivery guy didnt have change, and now hes going to an atm to get it to bring me my cold food… not worth $ 20.not worth $ 10.

I finally ordered food from here and it came relatively fast! Quicker than I expected actually. My food was neatly packaged in a small sized box. Nothing spilled and it was still warm. I ordered the Mongolian beef & side white rice, sesame cake and custard bun, and honeydew milk tea with extra tapioca. Everything tasted great! The only problem was that the milk tea was probably made to early in the preparation of my food as it lost its consistency before it arrived and I didn’t see no tapioca in it.

Was here on a raining day after nearly 2 hours at DMV grrrr The food is surprisingly better than what I expected . I have noodle, Mongolian beef and spicy fish :). Yummy all for $ 8 :) . Happy stomach. Reason for 4 stars, noodle was not good at all.

Yay for Asian groceries, hot Chinese food, Chinese buns, and bubble tea! Jing Jing Market and Happy Melon Bakery & Deli are connected in this big plaza. I was very excited to discover this large Asian mart in the area. The location is easy to find, there is a big sign, and the facilities are clean and spacious. Easy parking lot. The workers are friendly and helpful. They have a nice selection of produce and meats on the Jing Jing market side. I purchased meats, veggies and fruits from here. On the Happy Melon Bakery and Deli side, I have tried some hot food, deli and bakery items. They have a huge menu with your typical Chinese restaurant offerings: meat and veggies, rice, noodle, soups, etc. There is also a section with bubble tea and desserts that I have yet to try. Singapore curry rice noodles: I discovered that the hot food off the regular menu is available all days they are open except on Monday, since the chef is out. There is hot food was already made and on display when you walk into the deli. I assume you can also order food to be made for you as well when the chef is in. I ordered a large size of the noodles, and it was a generous portion. I was worried it would be dry from sitting out, but it was not too bad. The noodles were classic and good. Hot and sour soup: Add onto any entrée for only a dollar! Again, one small tub was a generous portion. It was very good and packed with ingredients and flavor. Chicken feet in vinegar sauce: Ok, so I am a sucker for chicken feet in general. I prefer the vinegar sauce over the dimsum version. So I was really excited when I saw this in the display case. They were delicious. I also purchased the coconut cream bun, pineapple bun, sponge cupcake, and hotdog bun. The buns were yummy. The coconut cream filling was a little sweeter than most places make it. Overall, good location, lots of variety, pretty good quality, and good value. I look forward to coming back soon for more Asian goodies!

The bakery and deli items are hardly ever fresh. They looked like it’s been sitting on the shelves/basket for hours, if not days. There’s always a huge selection of day/days old baked goods which were not properly kept. When I went in last time, they had ho-fun on the same aisle as the baked goods and it was moldy! The sun shines directly at the window and for something like ho-fun which should be kept out of sunlight or refrigerator section. Stay away from their fresh items. If you need to shop there, keep it to packaged stuff and make sure to check the expiration dates as some are expired months ago and still on the shelves!

Great bubble tea at a good price. Got the Taiwanese milk tea with boba. Nothing to complain about, everything was good. The drink was not too sweet, so I am hopeful it was not loaded with sugar. The service was definitely nice and timely, will definitely be here again!

I hesitated to get the boba at first! Until Wong proved us wrong and showed us the fresh boba they just made, and it tasted fresh and not hard or old like other places! Highly recommend this place to anyone from out of the area to try it out. shit smack! Real talk!

This place is connected to the Asian market that my mom always sends me to with her grocery list. I never complain because I get to stop by and grab some yummy boba and their baked buns! The boba and buns themselves are awesome. The tea was slightly too sweet also they didn’t put ice in it? They just shook it with ice to make it cold which I didn’t like but the boba was perfect. And I got the coconut bun for $ 1 which made it suuuuper worth it because it was delectable ^_^ it was still warm in its packaging because I came pretty early in the day. I just wish they’d organize their so called menu which is really just marker written on a wall because it’s very messy and just visually unappealing!

I tried a lunch combo in the deli. The food quality was pretty good. Way better than Safeway or QFC. The selection for entrees is very limited and they were out of Fried Rice at 11:45AM. Really. The chow mein or what they called chow mein, I thought it was pancit at first was odd. It was very yellow and tasted like curry. bizzare. It does not go well with the Chinese style entrees. Will give this place another try but skip the chow mein or whatever it is.

Not too shabby, but it’s a small market, with not that much selection. Friendly staff though, and we were able to get fresh outta the oven buns, but I do wish it were slightly bigger!

It was our first time there and employees were very helpful. We got the taro and coconut cream buns. Both delicious. Stopped by here after having lunch at Top Gun.

I haven’t checked out or tried everything at the bakery, but the shaved ice is worth it here. I go here just for shaved ice. They’re are a lot of flavors and you can get more than one for no additional cost(try tiger’s blood). They also have a mini market for other asian foods which is nice.

Jing Jing supermarket has expanded and selling read to eat food now! Their to-go deli section has sichuan dishes which is pretty unique, but overall is quite greasy. I have also tried their«chinese crêpe» and«red bean sticky rice» which was good but not the best I’ve had. Our worst experience was buying half of a soy sauce chicken in which was NOT cooked throughly! Unfortunately, we didn’t realize it until we opened the box at home. I think Happy Melon still has a ways to go in terms of making quality food and training the staff up to par. At times, the staff are confused about price and whether the customer has paid yet. They have potential to do well, but are definitely stuggling right now.

After reading all the negative reviews, I feel like I have to stand up for Jing Jing’s new café/baker/bubble tea shop(: First of all love Jing Jing for being the only Asian Market new our home, and the concept of opening the store with a bakery walk is genius. For someone who loves everything sweet it got me! hehe I couldnt resist myself. I honestly came in for some asian candy, but this café is EVENBETTER! As for it being a bubble tea shop as well, I don’t expect much. I used to work for Oasis in Chinatown and they KNOWTHEIRSTUFF! they’ve been in business for over 10 years now, so having powder based bubble tea is just fine with me. if it taste great i honestly don’t care what it’s made of. haha Happy Melon offers so much at an amazingly affordable price! I’m def. coming back. OH and I got the Strawberry shaved ice with condensed milk. HUGE. CHEAP. YUMMY. omg. I ate over half of it. hehe I’m so excited for Jing Jing to have opened a place like this, the Eastside really needed it ^.^ good job guys!

i came by Jing Jing market one night near closing and noticed the new signs by the door; something about entering through the bakery? Hmm! What a coincidence! Got me some same ol’ rice cake, snacks and a deli closing special(I believe it was $ 2 any small and $ 4 for the regular large). The rice, fish and mongolian beef were pretty good. It’s funny seeing the staff in pastel pink hats and neon green shirts but hey, it’s bright and cheerful — plus the short gal who helped was nice. Still freshly open and I think they’ll do rather well. You can also pay market items at the bakery cashier.

I am greatly disappointed;(All flavors are all power based except the milk tea. I wish my review is a positive one .but sorry… I came at 7pm on a Thursday. I thought to give it a try since it’s newly opened. The bobba is wayyyy tooooo soft. It is worse than what I can make at home. So I would not recommend their bobba tea. I may try their buns in the morning since there were not any left at 7pm. Definitely not comparison to Café Chi nor Drive Through Bobba. sigh… i guess I still need to drive far away for a good bobba tea…
