I wanted to find a place to walk that is close to Bellevue, but feels like I’m in the wild. This trail is basically in Factoria, right off Coal Creek Parkway. Blink and you could miss it. It’s just a small gravel parking lot. What makes this place so cool are the little bridges at every turn bringing you over the creek or a ravine. At .8 miles you come to a fork where you can take the Primrose Trail loop(.7 miles) or go to the Redtown Trailhead(1.6 miles). I took the Primrose Trail which loops around to make the entire trip 2.3 miles. It’s something in between a long walk and a hike that can easily be done in an hour. There is a bit of elevation, but the climbs are short so it’s not difficult. The scenery is fantastic. I kept hoping maybe an ewok would appear to me across the creek. I think this trail would make a great introduction to hiking for kids or people wanting to ease into hiking.

Came here today for a good jog with family and the pup! It’s a fairly long trail but very serene. As you start the trail, there is a fairly deep pond where sometimes little kids would splash in. A little along the way, there is a very pretty stream where our pup had the time of his life running and prancing in. We jogged about 4.5 miles along the trail, even though there was a bit more ways to go. We came across some wooden bridges atop of a steady stream underneath; it was all very beautiful! It was overall a great workout and a wonderful experience to get in touch with nature!

Have lived around here my whole life. If you want to experience what it’s like to be in Seattle, and in a green setting, this nice area is for you.

You really have to hunt for this place but when you find it, what a nice trail through the forest. I parked at the beginning of the trail near the 405 freeway and Coal Creek Parkway and parked in the residential neighborhood. They could use more signs directing people to the entrance but overall a nice experience, great hike and beautiful surroundings with a creek that runs through it.
